RIP Wendy’s! You were there for me during my formative years. When I was in high school I could always rely on you to start my weekend or offer something to do after track practice. I feel for the future generations that won’t have your simple pleasures.

It stinks. The burger was soggy and service was lacking.

This location is big the lines get long and there’s plenty of seating. They do not have a drive thru. Staff is friendly and it is usually clean.

While I am not a fast food eater anymore. I am, and probably always will be a fan of this location. Long gone were the days where this was a Roy Rogers. But this Wendy girl would always have my heart. During middle school, friends and I use to take the S78 or S79, getting off at the bus stop right across the street from here. From there we would fill the booths and enjoy an awesome Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger and nuggets will discussing how ‘hard’ our lives were. Those were the days you could never take back. Attendants were always pretty nice, always clearing booths after their parties had left. These days when I visit, I take my dad back for a bite just like he did when I was younger. Wendy’s was our poor families gold back then. While we knew we couldn’t afford to go out to family sit down restaurants, Wendy’s was defiantly a cheap fix. I’m happy to see they are still in business here, just as I remember them.

Wendy’s has the absolute worst drive thru. Almost every order is wrong. I have at least 15 orders placed and about 5 were correct!

One of the worst locations I’ve ever been to. Staff is mostly teenagers, mostly rude and inattentive. I say mostly, because some are actually great workers, friendly and fast, but most generally give you a nasty look as they yell out«Next…» with a dull uninterested inflection. This place is always a mess, the condiments section usually has at least 10 straws, napkins, and salt packets sprawled across the counter, and ketchup all over the place. Most tables are dirty, and there’s always garbage on the floors. The fries are almost always undercooked, and the rest of the food isn’t what you’d call on-par with other Wendy’s locations.

I’ve been to a ton of fast food joints and I have a pretty high tolerance for a lot of things. Hell, I’ve been called the N word at one establishment once and I’m not even black, and it didn’t even bother me! Today, I am writing this review because I experienced one of the worst experiences of all time. I don’t know if this is owned by corporate or if this is an independently owned franchisee. I don’t know, but I seriously hope someone reads this. Forget the standard customer service of «Thank you for choosing Wendy’s» or even a «thank you and have a nice day»(which I didn’t get, but at this point it’s something I don’t expect). If you hire minors to run the cash registers, which makes them the face of the franchise, what you get is, and I shit you not, in the middle of placing an order, the girl arguing with her boyfriend about God knows what. I swear, the guy was standing next to me, and they were arguing as I was trying to put my order in! After the guy left for Dunkin Donuts, the manager came up and started conversing with the stupid girl about when her shift was going to end. I had to tell her my order three times and on the second time, I swear, she looked at me and said, «hold up», and then proceeded to talk to her manager! What I was afraid was going to happen happened. She got my order wrong and I was overcharged. Seriously, get your act together before you lose more customers. You already lost a faithful one today.

It’s a Wendy’s. And all Wendy’s are the same, right? So why even bother writing a review? Well, recently I poked my head into a Wendy’s in midtown, and didn’t buy anything, but noticed that not only was it nasty filthy, but the prices were completely different. It’s one of those hidden costs of living in Manhattan that you kind of know, but don’t even really think about. Same not-that-great food, but they charge you more just for being there. On the other hand, this Wendy’s, located in a strip mall parking lot, is spacious, reasonably clean, and has around half a dozen different sandwich options on the 99-cent menu.

This used to be the place to be when I went to high school. I used to come here every day for 4 years after playing an intense couple hours of handball after school. It was when the junior bacon cheeseburgers were a dollar as were the small chilis. It was when we realized that even though the large chilis were 1.79 or something, we got more chili with 2 small ones. I used to eat chili here every day even during the summers. I used to pay every day for my boyfriend at the time. Damn I was stupid, but this place sure brings back many cute memories, including the one where this lady accused me of peeing all over the toilet seat in front of the whole restaurant… damn.
