I have been to this place several times and hosted a few family parties here. The owner and servers were very accommodating and made us feel very comfortable. The design of the place is very nice and the prices are great for the amount and quality of food you will receive. I am sorry for not adding more to this, but it has been a while since I visited this place, but I will definitely go there for another family event in the near future.

Not impressed at all! Like with anything. Ok, so we walk in… We get to our table and as we are getting our coats off the server comes up and asks if we would like hummus and hot bread? I looked at my husband like what bc literally we couldn’t even get our coats off and he is in our faces! Anyways, I said I want hot bread and garlic sauce. He goes ok garlic sauce and hummus, I was like yea ok fine. Anyways, that came and he asked what we wanted to drink? I can’t drink carbonated drinks so I got«fresh lemonade». What would you think that is? I assumed fresh squeezed like they cut the lemons and squeeze. Yea NO! It was like a slush? I was not impressed and sent it back, it was too tart! Anyways. Onto actual food. Since our hummus and garlic situation we decided to eat light. I got the chicken schwarma which was about ½ the size of any other places we go. He got a chicken schwarma fattoush salad. It had NO taste! NONE!!! The chicken is so dry. Just so blah! Overall, no flavor in anything, it was dry, bland and just crappy! :( The inside of the restaurant is pretty. We walked in at 6:30−7 on Saturday and there was maybe 10 – 12 tables on our level but there is also an upstairs that looks over the restaurant, I’m sure people were up there. But I always give the benefit of the doubt and may do a carry out… Just to try it at our leisure and see if that works better for us.

We have been to Ollie’s a few times now. The best Mediterranean on the east side of Detroit. We have not had a less than average meal. I am sucker for raw and Ollie’s has my favorites. For all the special diets such as gluten-free, vegan Ned vegetarian you will find selections. The wine selection is a leasing surprise.

The best Mediterranean restaurant ever! I absolutely love Fattoush salads. I always order Fattoush salad, no pita chips, add grilled chicken breast, with dressing on the side. Great way to eat healthy without sacrificing taste!

The food I got served was cold and stale. I didn’t appreciate the rude service as well. They expect more tips than they deserve and will give you dirty looks if you don’t tip well. I won’t be coming back.

This is a great pick for Lebanese food in the area. The chicken shawarma was one of the best I’ve had. It was extremely flavorful and tender, and was paired with a good, creamy hummus. The fattoush salad was good, but not necessarily anything to write home about. My husband ordered ghallaba and was satisfied, but felt that he has had better in Dearborn. We were seated immediately and the service was exceptionally fast. It was a matter of two or three minutes after ordering that our first course arrived. It was also nice that they offered a full bar since many of the smaller local Lebanese restaurants do not.

Pleasantly surprised. Not only was the menu thorough and authentic but everything was perfectly spiced and seasoned, well presented, and well priced. The décor was spacious and pretty, with a fountain in the center of the room, high booths for privacy and a brick oven I could see people popping bread out of. It was so quiet, my favorite part. They do have a wine list and apparently a full bar, I had a Lebanese wine, which was a perfect blend of a Cab/Shiraz. Our server Jasmine, was so lovely and pleasant, every server should be as good as her! She made our experience that much better. We will definitely be back. Many times over. (Eager to try the grape leaves next time, they looked divine)

I read a lot of great reviews, ill be honest the place looks very nice modern. With beautiful main floor dinning room, including full bar or upstairs dinning as well or Outdoor seating, I mean what more to ask for right? So I took my wife there for our 20th anniversary, she loves Middle Eastern food as do I. First time there, we ordered Our usual Shish Combo and Shish Tawook with salad and rice, wife got coffee I chose beer. Very happy to be there Quite, clean polite wait staff Even good music– not loud. Our drinks arrived my beer was good could have been colder but I was ok My wife’s regular coffee was very good she said, good, and then came our salads with dressing on the side we ordered, we were very disappointed on how bland the dressing was, I mean fattoush has a nice flavor with a kick of acidity– Nope Not this one Actually the worst Fattoush salad dressing we’ve ever had. Ok .well we dug into the hot bread and garlic paste which was excellent — great. Food arrived, looked great — tasted very Bland, under seasoned and DRY the rice with nuts was Bla I mean Who’s in charge of Flavor and Seasoning in this place !?. The prices were reasonable, but I know it’ll be a long time till we go back, bottom line the Food was tasteless. Sad but true.

My new fave. I just moved to the area and was staying at a hotel near the restaurant and drove by. I checked out the reviews and thought it was worth a try. Yes it is and I highly recommend Ollie’s Lebanese Cuisine. The wait staff explained what the meals were. They have huge portions that you can share. And on Monday and Tuesdays, they have sandwich specials for take out for both lunch and dinner — cheap cheap cheap! The food is very delicious and the give military discounts. LOVELOVELOVE!!!

Living in Dearborn my entire life and spending most summers in Lebanon i tend to expect a lot from Arabic restaurants, and Ollies Sterling Heights truly delivered! As I walked in i was instantly stunned by the interior, not only was it beautiful but gives an accurate representation of Middle Eastern Culture a lot of heart was definitely put into this place. But a few pretty decorations isn’t enough to sway me by any means. The service and food is what did it! I came into Ollies a bit famished which led me to order the Shish Combo and let me tell you it was HUGE and pretty cheap for the price. But what really earned the 5th star was the service, my server was genuinely one of the best i had! In my opinion many servers these days are like robots just take your order and go, Jasmine really took the time to make sure i enjoyed my time here and get on a personal level with me! Ollies Sterling Heights is Macomb County’s best kept secret

Excellent cuisine, staff, décor, cleanliness, and quite an extensive bar(very underrated and unknown in my opinion). We are middle eastern; a mix of Lebanese and Chaldean; so we have been all over the state and hands down we find Ollie’s to be the best. The taboulee, hummous, and all the meats are excellent; my wife loves the vegetarian grapeleaves as well. You will not go wrong with this place!

The atmosphere and the waitress(Jasmine) was superb. Stopped in based on the Unilocal reviews and was glad I did. The crushed lentil soup«AWESOME» and the hommous didn’t let me down either. Decided to go with the shawarma and a Lebanese wine, perfect. Will come back next time I’m in town and would highly recommend to anyone that likes Lebanese food with a real middle eastern atmosphere.

We like coming here, the salads are always spot in! I ALWAYS get the Caesar salad with the homemade dressing. It’s the best. The chicken kebabs are very tasty too. You truly get a bang for your buck here.

Absolutely love dining at Ollie’s. I work in Dearborn and frequent that location more, however, the VanDyke location is far superior. The space is gorgeous and you never feel crowded. The staff is super friendly — and can joke well with even the craziest of my friends. Portions are huge, I always have to take home quite a bit. Their hummus is amazing, very creamy and smooth. Garlic sauce is equally yummy. I’m never disappointed with what I order from shwarma to lamb to fattoush. It all tastes great. The house salad dressing has great spice. And I recommend getting the fries with a meal — some of the best fries I’ve had(even better with garlic or hummus).

We had eaten a couple times at the Ollie’s Lebanese in Dearborn and knew about this location so when we were in the area with visitors from out of town we decided to take them here. We were really impressed with the service at Dearborn and we loved the food and this location in Sterling Heights is just as good. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and our guests loved everything as well. They said there is a Lebanese restaurant near their home near Cleveland but the food at Ollie’s is much better. We ordered the Lebanese Sampler Combo for Two(there were five of us) and fresh juice and smoothies. After we were all full, there was still some left and we sent it home with our visitors. This location is much closer for us than Dearborn so I know we will be back again.

We walked in with our cousin and kid and host-dude dropped his pre-planned kitchy one liner for every parent that walks in with a toddler. «Table for 3 and a half?» The place looks pretty commercial and corporate. Has kind of a Claim Jumpers or clean chain vibe. I was expecting some typical frozen grub and reheated in a microwave by minimum wage labor. We came with a local on recommendation who knew stuff about things. Despite the stiff and starchy atmosphere, the cuisine is not watered down to cater to western culinary ideals. The portions are also not timid. We ordered a platter for two, plus an entre, for three ‘and a half’. And yet we still walked out with three giant to-go boxes. The service was meh, but self apologetic. We sat for an awkward amount of time and I was gazing out the window and a gal came up and was like’ «#omg have you been helped yet? #Nervousface» Maybe 2 minutes later a dude came up, «#lol #sry». Went around the table and took the drink order and Im like«What do you have for hot tea?» And he replies, «yea, we have hot tea…» So I’m trying to get some slack so I request green… He says there is no green. So I maintain, «What kind of tea do you have? #Lol #annoyed» Finally he says«We have a cardamom…» and I’m like«shut up and take my money #Frymeme». The cardmom tea was smooth and fantastic. We got a sampler tray for two that had a beef and chicken, both good. And two different stuffed pastry items and dolmas. Seemed kind of odd to have a pound of meat on a tray with about 1 cup of rice, but who am I to judge. There was a soup served before the entres that was a cross between chicken soup and hot and sour soup. The food was savory and spicy(not hot, but full of spices), typical to the cuisine of the culture. Everything was excellent except the service which seemed like it might have been a slow time where they were slipping a little bit. Would go back for the food alone. They were also pretty hospitable and accommodating to the toddler who was finger painting with their hummous.
