New Horizons Massage

I first started going to New Horizons on a groupon approximately 6 months ago. The masseuse, Dick, is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I have lots of arthritis and issues with my neck and back and those are always alleviated after my 1 hour. He also includes a hands and feet paraffin dip. I have been to many different masseuses and he is by far the most talented. I have become a regular monthly client and so qualify for the reasonable rate of $ 30. I would definitely recommend going to New Horizons for a great, relaxing massage!

I have had so many great massages here! Richard is a very skilled massage therapist and I’ve never had a bad massage with him. Many practitioners tend to wrap up their massage a few minutes early, making the hour massage more like 50 minutes… but Richard always massages for the full 60 minutes and on a few occasions he has even run over! I would definitely recommend New Horizons.

I went for my massage on Friday. I never felt better afterwards. I ‘ve had kinks in my neck and pains down my back for years now, and he rid me of all that. He was extremely professional and knows his stuff. I will definitely go back. The hand and foot treatments are incredible. If you’re looking for Canyon Ranch this is not the place, or the price either. If you want a genuinely, professional massage and at an incredible price, you’ve come to the right place.

i am another Groupon client who will not be returning for the second massage. I echo the sentiments of those reporting that the massage made them feel uncomfortable. A person lying on a massage table, wearing the typical massage attire, is in a very vulnerable position. The massage therapist has a legal and ethical obligation to insure that his clients are, and feel, safe.

The massage center is located in a building that sells artisan crafts and antiques. Really cool to look around in afterwards, but overall was loud, creaky and you could hear everyone talking and working outside.
I went in November and the room was cold. The massage therapist said he had a heated pad for the table, but it was broken. I hoped he would understand just how cold it was when he touched my frozen toes!
I don’t know if he was hungry or whether his stomach was not feeling right, but his stomach was gurgling quite loudly during the massage. Also not sure if he was congested, but he breathed loudly through his mouth the entire time.
It was my first professional massage, so I don’t have others to compare it too, but overall it was cold and awkward. I’m going to try a different massage place to see if I have a better experience.

Location: It’s a bit strange. It’s a very small and old office hidden in an antique store. No waiting room or separate massage area (there is a privacy screen though). Some may call this charming, others may call it creepy.
Masseuse: Dick is a big guy with meaty fingers. He looks like a mixture of Santa Claus and Popeye. He’s a nice guy and seems to know what he is doing.
Massage: It was a pretty good massage. I bought a groupon two pack and was happy with the value. I wouldn’t necessarily go back for full price, but I’d consider buying the groupon again.
The main reason for the ³⁄₅ stars was due to the sheets being very dirty with hair, makeup, etc. Check the sheets!

Got the Groupon, not your average message place but at first I felt weird but Dick was very nice and he did do a great job! If your looking for top of line this is not the place. Bare minimum here. Would I go again sure, he offers you to come back at groupon rate 39 bucks which you can’t find that price anywhere.

Dick was very professional & helpful. I had a lower back pain and after 1 hour massage it was gone. He effectively provided me with the relief I needed. His years of experience allows him to identify the problem muscles and work on them to alleviate the pain. He is extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. Every single knot in my back is now gone, and I have never felt so comfortable. Thank you for accomplishing what other massage therapist couldn’t. Dana

I was given a Groupon for a massage at New Horizons, and I was pleasantly surprised. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but it is in a quaint little antique store.
Dick is friendly, kind, and professional. He did a great job with the massage, and we chatted for a bit as I was getting the paraffin on my hands and feet. He offered me the Groupon price for any future visits, which is a great value for what he offers.
I enjoyed the experience, and when my usual MT is unavailable, I will return to him!
