The price tag on my dry cleaning tab for a single item was pretty shocking at $ 9.50.
On the other hand… when I consider how much I paid for my tux jacket, and the glisteningly perfect state that it was returned to me from the dry cleaner… I can’t really complain.
All of the signage up at this place mention their PERC-​free* nature-​friendly solvents used that’ll leave clothes looking spiffier than ever. I dunno about the number of eyes the fish have downstream from the sewage outlet for this shop (found near the Chevy Chase Bank off Route 7), but I can testify to my impressed state upon seeing my jacket.
Friendly employee (I’ve only ever seen one), never a line, and they apparently offer tailoring… which I’ll be taking advantage of soon. All in all, worth a return trip for those high end items that I simply refuse to play roulette with at my $ 1.89 dry cleaner.
* I don’t know much about PERC, but I do recall while working for the NYC DEP way back when I was doing consulting, there was a whole stink about PERC in the sewer system. I’m gonna assume that it’s a bad thing. Or just that eco-​freaks flip out about the smallest potential worries…
