Zaaza

Latin night at Zaaza: A great time and place to meet your local rift-​raft gang members, fast food drive through attendants, and office building cleaning crew all in one spot at the same time. The lowest common denominator here that unites all patrons is the non-​ability to speak English. Park away from the front if you want to dodge the police cars (that are waiting outside when the venue closes) from tailing you on your way home.

I just recently moved to Ashburn from California and I understand that there’s not much around here. I was pretty excited when i found something through Unilocal and gathered a few girls to check it out on Thursday night. We went there right after class at 7:30pm and nobody was there but that made sense since we were there a tad bit early. So we grabbed some dinner nearby and came back at 10:30pm. Its «college night,» a live dJ, interesting décor, but there was only a handful of people and an empty dance floor. We quickly decided to go somewhere else instead. I was so disappointed. What is there to do around here?!
Maybe we’ll try it again on a different night since there’s not much options around here.

Zaaza is a great find in an otherwise sterile and typical suburban strip mall .so the location alone makes it interesting and unique. I went with some friends from DC on a weekend. and the place was hopping… the surprising interior screamed CLUB. and not bar… the music was excellent. a rarity even in DC clubs. (i think the owners are DJs).and the sound system loud.(a good thing if you are a clubber)… the crowd was young and interestingly mixed (sociologically). Drinks were strong and the staff very friendly. We noticed that food was served. but did not try any. The only down side for me was the smallish dance floor. but it didn’t stop people from crowding it as the night moved on. Zaaza is a rare find in the hinterlands outside of the city.

I love this place! I’ve been here several times, and whenever I’m in town I like to go. It has a fun, hip vibe and great music, drinks and atmosphere :)

Best place around Thursday nights Joseph Cokayne Dj (Sic Sirca) is rocking the house an the crowd he brings let me tell you they don’t post up against the wall. I will be their every thursday an saturday night an when i get a chance tuesdays is pretty dope may be a small place but it has taste. Shout out to all the employee’s Thanks for making this spot great Shuman, Siego, Matt Pieraldi, an All the great bar tenders an door men. Ps one of the best places to Throw a Bday Bash. Pretty nice establishment, decent dj, staff was cool, but the crowd was meh.

Hmmm… what to say… not much to say… found this place by accident and ended up grabbing a few drinks before our movie a few weeks ago. Odd crowd, insanely cheap drinks and crazy loud music. I think we need to try in on an «on night»…

after dinner with some ppl from work we wanted to go out for another drink. we tried to find a pub in the plaza but since we didn’t know where it was… we ended up going to zazaa.
drinks are okay priced. for a cocktail and a beer it was almost $ 12. actually. i don’t know if that’s cheap but i know it’s not bad.
the ppl are friendly here. we came before 10 so there was no cover. i hear they charge cover sometimes.
no one was dancing when we left but i liked the music.
not sure if i will be back but i still had a good time.

This place is terrible. I came here since a few friends of mine live in the area and wanted to go to celebrate someones 21^st birthday. Show up around 10:30 and the place was completely dead. The only good thing about this place is how cheap the drinks were. I remember I ordered a Jagerbomb, blue motorcycle, white russian, corona, and it came out to about $ 22. Not bad at all, which is why I’m not giving this place a 1 star.
The crowd was pretty interesting too to say the least. Mostly guys just all standing in a line and a few people dancing on what you could say is the «dance floor.» I’m surprised this place can stay afloat. I actually spoke to one of the bouncers and asked how business for them was. I was told it was a hit or miss, mostly misses.
Tip if you do decide to come here, they have hookah available for seating outside. I didn’t bother to try it but I would have much rather done that instead of standing around inside. I don’t even know how this place got the 5 and 4 star ratings. Obviously they have never been towards the Arlington County/​Washington DC area. And don’t even bother «dressing» up, I came in wearing flipflops.

I came here elated based on my Unilocal discovery that there was a conveniently located «nightclub» but was unfortunately very disappointed. I came on a warm summer Sat night. the place is very small and the few seated areas were taken. They were doing salsa lessons there that night and so there was no real music and no place to dance since there was the class. I came dressed up like I would for a real nightclub but felt overdressed and silly– everyone was super low key here and it had very ethnic crowd near the bar– mainly creepy older men. I felt awkward. I decided not to stick around.

Haha, I came to know about this place with a radio ad that said… «tired of getting to dc and have only an hour to party… come to Zazaa Nightclub. located in your residential sterling!»
I was like where the !!! is zazaa?! I live here in sterling area for quite some time but have NO CLUE where ZaZaa is. until. I went to the movies and I was like what’s with the crowd! There’s zazaa right infront of the movies where the old ice cream store used to be. So I went there…
…drinks are crazy cheap. Like the guy below me said, it’s dangerously cheap. and it’s true, it’s kinda sketchy. It’s a very young, mostly middle easterners crowd. It’s pretty decent though, small dance floor but hey! it’s in the neighborhood!

It’s true, $ 3 real martinis before midnight on fridays and saturdays. They are good, too. Domestic drafts are $ 2. I know, it’s dangerously cheap. The staff are all very friendly. I had the steak&cheese pizza which was decent ($ 10 w/​salad). It looks like I will have to go back. To top it all off, they were showing Mayweather vs De La Hoya. No cover. Wow.
When I left at midnight the dance floor was starting to get pretty sketchy, which I’m sure is another plus to some people.
