Sweet little drive thru with good prices, smooth espresso and slightly sweeter than preferred flavorings. The service was as fast as anticipated with a one person staffed shop; she was friendly and prepared a decent Vanilla Latte and and White Mocha. Not the best coffee I’ve ever had but just what was needed to satisfy our coffee craving before heading home. I imagine we would return if in Stevenson.

Love this place! Best coffee around, I always missed the coffee here and the friendly people whenever I’m out of town. Johnny is awesome and makes a mean cup of joe

Little secret. There are west side and east side choices for Java in Stevenson and each has its proponents. Can’t we all just get along… well of course we can. I just happen to love chatting with folks at Gotta Hava Java and(it turns out) irritating that dog lady(with the whiny review) in the car behind me. Jenny makes a great«Aussie style» wet light foam cappuccino. Give her the particulars and you’ll get a custom drink with a smile. And all the folks make hands down the best mocha ice rage with a floating shot! Johnny is cool and so is his little barista«the Saul Meister». So next time your heading east(or west) pull up and grab a respectable brew.

Too slow for the morning drive. Too much talking, Bitter hot chocolate-yuck, but received a star for dog friendliness(treats) and friendly service.

Great coffee! Get a punch card… Get free coffee! I love free coffee! It’s a drive through. So it’s easy to grab a quick cup on your way outta town!

I usually set my expectations very low for drive through coffee stands. That way I’m rarely disappointed. But even more rare is being surprised by actually good coffee. I got a double vanilla latte, I should have asked for half the vanilla, but besides being sweeter than I like(about on par with Starbucks, sweetness wise) the espresso was very good, smooth, not bitter(looking at you Starbucks). And serious props for being open at 7 am on the 5th of July! If you are passing through, and need a pick me up, I’d definitely stop here! This is where I’ll be getting my coffee all weekend!

If you gotta have a java rolling down hwy 14 on the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge, well, Gotta Hava Java is probably your bet. That would be presuming that you are well past the Bridge of the Gods coming out of the Portland area, and you have not yet made it within striking distance of Husom. The joint is strictly drive through(so don’t expect to pee), and it’s strictly espresso drinks(though they will hand you a cup of hot water and a tea bag, if you insist). No brewed coffee, though. Quality of the mocha and latte we drove away with was okay. Not that I would drive all the way over here from anywhere on the Oregon side of the river for it… But like they say on the sign: Gotta Hava Java? This is the place.
