McCormack Furniture

This place is going out of business and taking offers of all their furniture. Go in w/​a low bid, they want to get rid of it quick! I got a $ 6200.00 kitchen table and chairs for $ 1500.00 today…

I do not enjoy shopping for furniture in the least. Shopping at McCormack’s; however, is the perfect combination of low-​pressure environment with extremely knowledgeable staff. Their furniture is high quality and the prices reflect that, but you can always find a deal.
I think that what the other reviewer may have experienced is their strong relationships with clients: they really do remember you and it’s like you’re included in their little furniture family.
I found this store down to earth, honest, and versed in design and furniture. No Stillwater pretentiousness here!

I give this operation two stars simply because I have purchased furniture from them in the past and had a great experience… then.
Most recently however that level of service has sunk to a new low. This past weekend my wife and I went into this store to price sofas and sectionals. It has become apparent during our search that we will have to order what we want. We were greeted at the entrance and shown to a number of styles and finally to the order books to try and find a sectional and fabric we liked so that we could price out the order. We received attention up until the point another customer walked in who apparently has spent money there in the past. At that point we were dropped like a bad habit and left to our own. We made it obvious we had made a decision but again the other customer was apparently a higher potential customer and deserved more attention than we did. Funny thing is I am 100% sure it had everything to do with the fact that I was wearing my baseball cap and hadn’t shaved yet that day (I was working around the house). I hardly looked like a vagrant or anything but I guess I didn’t look the the quality customer they prefer at McCormack. I wonder if the same thing had happened had I been wearing my suit and tie?
Later that day, we took the manufacturer and model number down and found what we were looking for at Gabberts on the other side of the cities. Not exactly convenient but I reward those who provide great customer service. I suggest if you chose to shop for furniture at McCormacks in Stillwater, MN that you take some extra time to dress up a bit and not just stop on your way home from running errands.
