Obviously, they do not understand the concept of closing. When you close BOTH parties come prepared to close. If the title company doesn’t have the papers for the other side, you postpone the closing! What you DON’T do it close one side, refuse to produce the check to the buyers, but send payments to everyone else, then go home for the day without finishing, leaving the buyers to wonder if they own the house in case of any problems or they don’t. Be safe — find ANY other closing company or at least as them this elementary question: «Honey, is everyone ready to close today?»
