While visiting my Minnesota cousins this past weekend, we decided to spend a day in Stillwater shopping and taking in the small-town atmosphere. When I went into the Spice & Tea shop, I was immediately in love with the quaint atmosphere, not to mention the large variety of spices and tea. Of course, I had to indulge! After returning home to Phoenix the next day, I realized that I did not have a large bag of candy that I had purchased at another little shop. I called the Spice & Tea Company to see if I had left the candy bag there when paying. The owner, Nancy, did not have my bag, but she took it upon herself to help me get my candy replaced. I have rarely experienced such excellent customer service. I highly recommend this store for variety of product and quality customer care. I will be purchasing my teas from Nancy in the future!

It’s a little shop that has tons of herbs, infused salts, and much more! They have them in jars and in little baggies in case you just want to buy a small sample to try. They also have a small kitchen in back and when I went in with my hubby, they were baking cookies with of course partial ingredients from the shop. The lady baking was very knowledgeable about the things in the shop and we walked away learning quite a bit! They have infused sugars and salts like a ghost pepper salt, which does have a nice kick to it but in moderation! We picked up a little himalayan salt to try on our food so if we like it we’ll be back for more.

When I saw this spice/tea shop open up in Stillwater I was kind of surprised. I mean, doesn’t this tiny town already have a specialty spice store? Well even though they do I surely don’t care. I got an amazing«feel good» tea in this shop along with some truffle salt. I’ll pay any amount of money for this salt. I have told my friends if I am about to die I want my last meal to be a big bowl of truffle popcorn. The shop itself is clean, well organized, and has a very nice tiny kitchen in the show room for cooking or tasting events. I’ll be back when my salt supply is low.

During a stroll down the lovely Main Street in Downtown Stillwater, I stumbled upon Spice & Tea Co. Being the tea addict that I am, I dragged my sister inside and was pleasantly surprised by the clean, organized display of teas and spices. Due to the fact that I am still a subpar cook, I stuck to the teas. Spice & Tea Co. has a wall of glass canisters filled with their teas so you can smell their variety of products before purchasing. I ended up buying a bag of their loose leaf Jasmine Peony(which I am currently sipping on) and it is fantastic. The store seemed to be relatively new, although I didn’t get to speak to the owner much because she was busy talking to other customers. It was a very friendly/open-question atmosphere and I appreciated the fact that the owner was engaging with customers to help them find what they are looking for. If I am ever in the area again soon, I will definitely be swinging into this little shop to restock and try some of their other blends.
