I love my cappuccino’s! This place serves a pretty good one too and i love that I can meet up with friends and sit outside and watch the wonderful people of Stockton pass me by. I haven’t been for the live music yet but I do want to give that a try someday. I also got a salad, which I thought was a little overpriced but it was pretty good. I would come back for sure. *Parking can be a little bit of a hassle. But the people here are so nice and friendly and the atmosphere reminds of a little bit of San Francisco. :)

The best coffee shop in town. Their white mocha blows the socks off Starbucks.

This place is AWESOME! I came here this weekend, and wanted to order a Nitro brew coffee, but they were out. They explained it is hard to get the nitrous oxide in Stockton. However, the barista recommended their cold brew coffee. Which blew my socks off! It was one of the best, if not best, coffees I have ever had. Get the cold brew with a couple pumps of vanilla sweetener!

The grilled turkey panini was fabulous. My two starving friends wolfed it down and loved it. It had good flavor, it was warm, toasty and crunchy. I had my favorite simply mint tea. There were four police officers in here getting their coffee. I like their presence here. The music selection is cool and the atmosphere is great and alternative. They have cold-brewed coffee here. They have a bulletin board to post the latest event or your business card. The service is good and we feel like we can be ourselves here.

One of my fave, if not my fave coffee places when i’m in town. I usually come for the chai lattes though. Location: Love that it’s on miracle mile and close to the other shops in the area. Service: They’re super friendly whenever I come and my order comes out so fast. Ambiance: I love the feel of the place. Whether you sit indoors and outdoors they have such a chill/comfy vibe. It’s cool when they have live artists as well. Drink: I only get the chai lattes here because unlike other places I go to it’s not watered down and has su much cinnamon flavor! Yummm.

This is my favorite place to be. I love the atmosphere! Each time I come home, I stop by for some coffee. My best friend and I come here often for morning dates too. I haven’t been anywhere that tops this place and I rave about this place all the time. I love the look and how cozy it is here. I like to also just read and study here too! Customer service is great too! They’re all kind and attentive. The coffee is amazing. Along with their tea, smoothies, and sandos! I absolutely adore the designs they do on the hot coffee. Everything about this place is home to me. This place is an absolute gem in Stockton. 10⁄10 I recommend!

I tried to order a size small smoothie but the beanie guy said it would only make sense to order a large smoothie because the ingredient proportions would be off. After insisting on a small, he reluctantly agreed. Good smoothie. 9.373÷10

Empresso is easily my second home, considering I moved from Stockton all the way to Monterey. I guarantee, you will not find another place like it! Just the fact that they are opened til midnight everyday is amazing. If you’re insane and wake up before noon, I mean I guess the fact that they open at 6 in the morning will excite you. It’s the perfect place to study, unless you happen to go on a band night or some kind of event is going on, sorry. All of the baristas are AMAZING and friendly, so be sure you tip because they definitely deserve it. For intense studying, sit near the window closes to the door. For bigger groups who want to socialize, sit on the couch. For regulars and those with kids, sit in the area across from the counter. For first time Tinder coffee date goers, sit on the high chairs(you don’t even have to awkwardly stare at one another, also closest table to where the board games are). For the hipster who vapes, sit outside. They can serve drinks in cups that are«Tumblr’esque,» so pull out your phone and turn off your flash(learned from experience) and snap a pic of that perfectly cute cup of whatever that you refuse to drink until you post it on Instagram. About the drinks: I don’t usually drink coffee and anyone there knows it. If I needed caffeine, I recommend their nitro cold brew with quote«hella sweetener.» Or you could opt for a white mocha. My go-to here is the hot chocolate with quote«hella whip.» Other drinks I’ve had in the past was the Starburst and a berry one, both good. About the food: Oh dear lord. The panini’s never cease to satisfy my tummy. The turkey pesto panini is great! They make it to order and when they throw it in the contraption that makes it a panini, you can literally smell heaven. The BLT with avocado is amazing too. Though, one time they ran out of the cheese they used for it and used pepperjack instead… it tasted so much better. Become a regular. You won’t regret it. I’ve met so many other regulars and made so many new friends. The baristas are nice to hang out with too. End note: just go.

If I could give this place a million times plus 5, I would! I see new people here all the time, but the coffee is always consistent! My friend’s drip coffee with vanilla was soooo good! I always come here for white mocha though. The dude with the glasses and long hair seems like a coffee connoisseur. He KNOWS his stuff. They also have a stamp card which is a big plus. This is my favorite coffee joint. I wish they have coffee ice cubes.

I have been a customer since Empresso opened and I am never disappointed with their service. The owners are real gems! If you’re ever in town looking for a café that’s not Starbucks, this is a great stop. I would recommend the Caramela or the Mexican Chocolate Mocha for coffee.

Great service, recommended the NOS. Cold Brew! Something I’ve not tried before. I would recommend it to all. As a bit of education to new comers; the espresso is a blended type. A bit heavy on the espresso taste. If you are not a true coffee liver you might want to go for the lattes instead or the cold brew. Definitely worth another visit and recommend to others to joint this adventure

This is a very fun place to visit! We found it on Unilocal. We came on a Sunday morning around 8AM. There was plenty of parking as it was kind of quiet at this time. There was a short line and we were helped pretty quickly. My husband got an Ethiopian French press and I got an English breakfast tea. We also got 2 goodies, a Pecan bar and lemon loaf. Both of them were quite delicious. My tea was delicious but the Ethiopian French tasted a bit dark though we were told it was a medium roast. My tea came out immediately and then it was only about a 7 minute wait for the French press. The service wasn’t overly friendly but they were pleasant. While we were waiting for the coffee, a well-dressed gentleman walked up to order and was completely ignored. There was a young gal fussing with the some signs in the front display, but she barely acknowledged him with a quick hello and then continued about her business. The guy looked at me and I looked at him and we kind of shrugged. If she’s not able to take orders, she should say«the gal who takes the orders will be right with you.» He had to wait for several minutes before someone came to take his order. When she arrived he said«are you ready for me?» She said«yes. «. Awkward! If they bump up the customer focus, this place could be awesome!

Being that this was one of the few things open on a Sunday in Stockton(REALLY?!!) we stopped in for some coffee before driving on and this seems to be the spot in town. It’s located in an old movie theater, very interesting vibe to say the least. Plenty of seating, magazines and a laid back vibe makes this a great casual place to hang out. Prices are fair, the menu very extensive and I love that they have several sizes available and will modify your drink any way you want. We both went with blended coffees, I had the divinity with toffee and chocolate, my husband the 20 below mocha, we really enjoyed both, the flavors in mine were out of this world good. Excellent quality coffee, perfectly sweet and blended well, all around one of the best frappes I have had in a long time and well worth the stop!

As of late, this has been a go-to spot for my friends and I to have a coffee and hang out. I’ve shared many laughs here, so this place is near to my heart. This is one of Stockton’s most precious gems! I finally filled up my stamp card, and I went to claim my free drink on a Saturday afternoon. I think that it’s obviously time for a review. The environment: Cool, relaxed, there’s a bulletin board as you walk in that is great for finding out about events around town. There’s a lot of seating: a variety of tables and chairs, and couches too! Great for studying, relaxing or hanging out with friends! There’s outdoor seating as well. It really feels cozy although it is spacious. There’s almost always artwork from local artists which is always a plus! The service: All of the employees at empresso are the best! Very nice and friendly, I have no problem asking any questions about drinks. They take their time to make a unique and delicious product for you! I recently had a dirty chai here that absolutely blows Starbucks out of the water. Paying is fast and easy here, because they have a tablet-style computer that you can sign on when you use a credit card. This business uses square to send receipts by email. Once you obtain ten stars, you can get half off your your next order! The menu: While I still haven’t had everything on their expansive menu, everything I’ve had so far has been delicious! I’ve tried drinks as well as lunches and pastries here, and everything is made with the freshest ingredients. Other: Most people park on the street but I prefer the parking lot that is on the street behind empresso. Fin.

hands down, my favorite coffee spot in Stockton. I go to the church located right next to it in Empire Theater, so it’s just meant to be that I can stop by and grab a drink and a pastry before heading into service. I also love coming here to study! the ambiance is a bit darker than other coffee houses, but I love the friendly and busy atmosphere. there are usually parking in the back lot if there aren’t any spots available in the front, so that is really convenient. most of their spots inside have outlets nearby, especially the ones along the wall. there are also a variety of seating options: tables and chairs as well as couches and sofas for those that just want to lounge and chat. they have a huge variety of drinks and food(pastries and savory foods) which is a plus. the service is always friendly, whether you come early in the morning or late at night. this place is definitely a gem!

Located in an the space of an old movie theatre on Miracle Mile, Empresso was very spacious and had amazing décor. More pros– close to Pacific’s campus and has delicious coffee! I got the Twisted Mocha(milk chocolate + white chocolate) and she ordered a caramel latte. Both drinks were nice and sweet. It was also a Monday when we visited so they gave us a free cinnamon roll to accompany our coffee.

A couple days ago my friends and I studied here. While I love the local, home-y of the coffeeshop’s ambiance, I found it a little dark and loud to study in. We tried to study in it a few days before, but we also found that there was not enough seating. I ordered the latte and lemon loaf. The latte was pretty good-nothing special. The lemon loaf was moist(honestly it tasted exactly like starbucks’s lemon loaf)! Overall, I wish this place had more room, but I enjoyed the time I got to spend there

LOVEIT. I’m a huge fan of cool spaces, and I just love the look of this place. The layout is a little messy, I have to admit, but you just can’t beat the ambiance. It’s a great place to go on a date or hang out with friends, but I don’t think I would be able to study here just because I would get distracted by looking at all the cool things on the walls and listening to the music. Other than that, the coffee is also pretty amazing. Cold brew, lattes, mexican mochas are the only things I’ve tried, but they are all great. The one thing I didn’t like was sometimes my lattes are not hot enough, but I can’t complain too much about that. Service is sometimes really nice, but sometimes it’s not the friendliest. But it’s sure not gonna get me down if I have some coffee and a date!

I’ve been trying to break my Dad out of his shell and get him to try new places when we travel. He likes to stick to what is familiar but whenever I get him to try new places, he always loves it! Empresso was no exception. Of course we found the place on Unilocal and we were in Stockton visiting family. Empresso is located inside the old Stockton Theater and Empresso makes an absolutely wonderful reuse of this retro space. With tons of details left intact in their original character, the neon lights welcome you. With a bit of small town charm(even thought Stockton isn’t tiny), the space is quite inviting. We ordered a couple of café au laits while my Dad ordered the bagel & lox. I opted to order a berry smoothie as well. The café au laits were right with perfect foam. My Dad loved the bagel & lox. My smoothie wasn’t bad either. Prices are super reasonable. It was really happy to see my Dad enjoy the place. He liked chatting with the friendly staff about how the place reminded him of old California when he was a kid. I was left feeling impressed and will be sure to return they next time we’re in Stockton!

INTERIOR: I do not know how I missed this place. I’ve been down this street a few times and I’m a coffee addict. Especially for local ones! The place has a very spacious front patio area where you can smoke(I despise smoking but to each their own) and enjoy a coffee. The interior seems like a small, old theater that has been turned into a café and I love love love it. It’s so charming and cozy. The old ticket window is now a place for art and flyers of things going on in the area, there is a rustic piano in the corner, i don’t know if it’s usable but its beautiful and adds to the antique charm, the center ceiling is circular and neon pink with beautiful lights hanging down and the couches are cozy. There’s also two computers on the side for usage I believe(although i feel like everyone has their own device, its nice to have those there). COFFEE: I love the wide array of coffee. There’s drip coffee, pour over coffee, french press, and the usual you’d find at any café. Perfect place for coffee experts(although I am not one myself). I got the WHITEMOCHA and its: The. Most. Perfect. Ever. Its foamy, perfectly sweetened, wakes me up, and I love when they’re in an actual mug and not a paper cup. Call me snobby or environmental friendly but things taste better in non-plastic/paper crap. My boyfriend frequents here and tries to order something diff every time and he likes everything so far(he can take his coffee with no sugar or cream and enjoy the taste unlike my sweetened stuff). We’re excited to try their sweets, they look fresh and delicious. what I saw on display: –cheesecake –lemon bars –coconut raspberry treat? –carrot cake –pumpkin cheesecake? –some kind of cherry treat much much more also offers salads and sandwiches MOSTIMPORTANTFORSTUDENTS: –the wifi is fast. hahaha(you do have to purchase something to get the code though!, just support them you won’t regret it!) –the lighting is not the best so if you’re accustomed to darker areas or are on a computer, awesome. If you’re reading or writing and not accustomed to the dark, you can experience a bit of eye strain.
