Their breaded shrimp was sooooo good! Their fries were just fries. Not great, but not bad. We will be back to try more!

Unlike the other Food Trucks which put themselves on Facebook so customers can follow them, this one doesn’t EVER update it’s location. Their Facebook page is pretty much blank. You would think they would like more business and tell people where to find them. This is what many other Food Trucks do so that their customers know where they will be each day and can patronize them. I have been looking for this truck for some time, but only see it driving and not parked. I would love to patronize it, but cannot if I cannot find it. Facebook is FREEREALTIMEADVERTISING, use your page you created so we can find you. Please. Update: I found that this business actually has 2 Facebook pages. One named Halal New Africa Cuisine which is the name on their truck and the one I found on Facebook and referred to above whihc is blank. The owner on Unilocal sent me a link to a different Facebook page which for some reason does NOT use the name of their business and is not set up as a business page so you can not«like» it and follow it like all other businesses(food trucks) on Facebook. This page is just titled«Halal Cuisine,» so if you see their truck and try to find them up on Facebook as I did you will find only the blank page. Had they set up their page with the same name as their business(and this Unilocal page) and as a business page not a person page so people could«like» and follow them, I would certainly give them a try. I LOVE to try new foods! I will not«friend» a business because then you are sharing all your personal information with them and everyone else on their page. «Liking» a business page shares none of your personal information with the business. That is why Facebook has these two different formats.

I had seen this place a few times driving by, but I had always just gotten food on the Miracle Mile and didn’t want any more. Today I drove by and there it was. Halal New Africa Cuisine is a food truck that has just plain good food and good service. I ordered the three fried fish with fries. The fish I ordered was the basa which I hadn’t had before. The fish was amazing. I’m not sure what they did to the fry, but it tastes like the best aspects of fried chicken and fried fish. The fries were also very good, but it’s hard to match that fish. They also had a few other types of seafood on the menu along with hamburgers and a sign said they have bean pies for special orders. The service was as good as the fish. They were friendly, explained a few things on the menu I hadn’t tried before, and just overall welcoming. The only complaint I have, if you could call it that, are their hours. Since it’s a food truck, its not there when its not open. They’re only open Wednesday through Saturday about noon to six each day.
