Old World Chimney Sweep

I don’t know who wrote these 5 star reviews but my experience was terrible. He was suppose to install a ash suppressor. He arrived said he was suppose to sweep the chimney. He was informed other wise and became agitated. Packed up and left without saying a word, kind of scary. Called someone else to do the work he left behind.

I called around trying to get the best rates and came across Old World Chimney Sweep! Not only did they blow the competition out of the water when it came to rates but the service was out of this World excellent! Aaron was very knowledgeable and took great care to leave everything as it was before he came. He went so above and beyond even making a second trip back to make sure we were all up and running safely with my insert fireplace! He earned a customer for life!

I had Scott Franks come out and clean my chimney and do an inspection for my really old house, built in 1913. I didn’t have any idea when it was cleaned last prior to purchasing the house or if it was even safe to use. Scott did a great job and answered all of my questions. In the end he assured me that it was safe to use the fireplace and cleaned it up for me. He was pleasant and attentive. That’s all I was looking for. Many Chimney Sweeps I had called didn’t even bother to return my call. This guy did and showed up on time for our appointment. Works for me!

Lost his business card so I’m not sure of who it was, but he was AWESOME. He cleaned both my fireplace and dryer vent. Very friendly and professional. DEFINITELY recommend them to everyone and use them again.

Aaron was out this week to clean our 45 yr old chimney. It’s never been professionally cleaned, but the owners here prior used to run a chain down the chimney. Even that hasn’t been done in 10+ years.
Aaron was prompt, personable, and willing to answer my rookie questions. When he was done, my living room never knew he was there, the new spark arrestor cap looked quite snazzy, the chimney was clean, and the price was right. By the way, the standard payment is check or cash.
We shared a few dog stories, as I put my (3) 100+ lb dogs away. Be nice to your servicemen, and put your dogs away. The lil ones tend to be a bit more aggressive, as we both agreed, but your big dogs can do damage without meaning to!

These guys are awesome. It’s been years since we had our chimney swept and cleaned, so long ago in fact that the current owner’s Dad who did our last cleaning, retired 8 years ago! I’ve been on the Internet recently to see what the hazards of a dirty chimney could be and I was scared out of my wits. Scott Franks and Aaron Dingman put all my fears to rest. The chimney, box and shelf were very dirty, in fact their huge vacuum was full of ash after the stop they made at our house.
The guys were kind, courteous, clean, and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend Old World Chimney Sweep-they’ve been in business since 1978 and many local property management companies use them exclusively.
Oh, and they also do inspection reports, spark arrest caps, dryer vent cleaning, rain gutter cleaning and they are factory trained; what more could you ask for?
