Stockton Sunrise Easter Service 2011

This will be our 6^th, maybe 7^th year in attending the sunrise service. Over 100 churches were represented this year, with hundreds if not possibly over a thousand in attendance. You really didn’t need a coat this year, it was pretty warm. The Stockton Downtown waterfront was truly beautiful in the wee hours of the morning-​the water was as smooth as glass!
One of the hilights for me was a local rapper by the name of Andre Hillery that told the crowd he used to be part of the problem in Stockton, but since he became a Christian he wanted to serve God and make a difference in his hometown community. Now Andre is part of the solution! He wrote a song that he performed this Easter called «SOS: Save Our Stockton»!
A stirring message was given by Pastor Kevin White of Crosstown Community Church. Pastor White called the body of Christ (that’s you and me brother) to come to life and make a real difference in our community; with everyone we see and to all folks we touch throughout our lives.
