Went once had jerk chicken it was ok not in my top ten though it does have a interesting menu

Im a softie when it comes to criticizing, this is the first time Ive given anyone lower than 3 stars
but my 2 might even be too generous.
I was excited when I first saw the ad for the Friday Happy Hour. Its close to my crib, tropical drinks, carribbean food… on the surface, a cant miss combination for me
wrong…went last Friday… swung, missed badly.
The service just doesn’t seem up to par for a restaurant to be taken seriously. Being slow with food is one thing… being slow with DRINKS AT HAPPY HOUR? YOUR MONEYMAKER? Totally inexcusable.
The menu entries sound good… but when you get the appetizer sampler… u wanna kick yourself for not just going to the frozen Kroger section and heating up Pizza Bites and Hot Pockets. Its real hard to not hit the spot with Jerk Wings, Nachos, and Conch Fritters (which are hard to come by in these parts), but even as hungry as we were, much of it wasn’t eaten. Just disappointing… and its very possible it was personal… the other tables had folks smiling (maybe they got their drinks quicker)
If you see me, you will know immediately, me not eating my appetizer is a dire situation to say the least.
So why am I giving the two stars? I didnt try an entrée, it was LATE in the Happy Hour, and the place is actually quite cute and plays good roots reggae music… if they had their shiznit together, it would be the perfect get your date drunk on a Friday night spot, and the movie theater is right there beside it…
I beg them to get their s**t together.
