The location was great for us. The fist turn off for me was the parking situation. Most of the parking lot(that is not blocked off for $ 10 valet parking) is very dark. If I was not with my husband, I would have paid the $ 10, just for the extra security. Be prepared to be searched, and patted down, before entering. My girl was having her 50th bday gathering; if not for that, I would not have even know this place was here. The food was just ok. Her male friend that put the gathering together ordered a large variety platter for everyone to share. All fried food. LOL Catfish nuggets, mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, etc. I don’t usually eat fried foods but, I dug in. They provided two pitchers of some type of alcoholic beverage that(I guess came with the VIP location upstairs). It was strong; but, the liquor was bottom shelf. My drink was just ok. It was very small and costly at $ 9, my husband’s beer was $ 6. Too much smoke in the atmosphere as well. They need to invest in a better filtration system. Or, have a no smoking policy. But, reminiscent of the 80’s when smoking was allowed in all nightclubs, be prepared to and leave your clothes outside once you get home and wash your hair the next day. The best thing about this night was hanging out with my girls and the music was very, very good. I liked how he played music from different parts of the country. And, he played music over a 25 year span of time. Yep, even 2 Live Crew and STRAFE-Set it off! Tried to do a review on Trip Advisor, but could not locate them on their website. :(

I actually started to have a good time here. I came in for a promotion night around 10 pm on a Friday. I ordered catfish nuggets& fries. It was about 40 little catfish nuggets all for $ 10! Amazing!!! I’m from Florida and love to dance and downstairs everyone was cutting a rug to old jams. They cut that short for a local artist open mic event. The crowd quickly changed from grown & sexy to hood rats & rugged thugs. There were nothing but wannabe rappers with smoke & weed with groupies. Not my thing. I didn’t stay too long after that.

Karma has a nice environment where u can enjoy yourself but the waitress dont check on you and u have to walk over to the bar and get your own drinks. I didnt enjoy the food it was a waste of my money. The bartenders are good drinks be on point. On glenwood day it was just a mess not enough security or police fights everywhere. So no i havnt been back but i will say that if it goes under new management i will cuz overall it has potential to be a great spot

Hubby and I went on Old School Saturday, free for women till 11, men pay $ 20. Parking was Ok. Place is pretty big, not alot of seating, but we were able to sit. Drinks were pricey but very strong so price was worth it! Music was nice, def for older crowd, no young wipper snappers, which was really nice also. Didn’t get to order food, wish I had. Will return for sure!

I would have to agree with the comment below about not having any contact from the event planners. It was my 32nd birthday and I heard all the hype about this location from local radio. Although I NEVER received a call back regarding birthday packages my party proceeded to go. The music was great– Old Skool all night, the party platter that we ordered was good(wings, fried mushrooms and fried fish bites) Left around 1am and they were still partying! No drama. grown and sexy. Had a great time!

PAYATTENTIONTOTHISREVIEW!!! Karma Bistro does not care about their customers. Let me explain. My wife and I contacted Karma Bistro after she attended a couples event there. She enjoyed herself and decided she wanted to celebrate her 35th birthday at Karma Bistro. Once we contacted Karma, after having the most difficult time just getting one of their event planners on the phone or to return messages. We finally were able to schedule a time to meet one of the event planners a couple weeks prior to my wife’s birthday. We made the one hour drive from Kennesaw to Stone Mountain ready to discuss logistics and pay for the party of 40 attendees in full. Once we arrived we waited 15 minutes for the scheduled meeting, and then finally the event planner came down, gave us a tour of the location, and we begin discussing logistics(i.e. seating, food, beverages). We were ready to pay on the spot with only two weeks left until B-day and then the bombshell get dropped by the event planner. YOUHAVETOREADTHISPART! The event planner tells us that she cannot book my wife’s party until after the next week(of my wife’s birthday) because Karma was trying to book R Kelly to attend and if so we could not book because they would jack up the price of the VIP seating. 1) Why didn’t you tell us this over the phone before we made the one hour trip. 2) Why didn’t you tell us weeks before when we talked over the phone so we could know to look for other locations. 3) Anyone that had a party booked at Karma was put on hold until R Kelly got back to them. 4) I was livid and let the event planner have it. Letting her know she was putting off the general public, their loyal customers to chase money that a celebrity could potentially bring in that they have not booked yet was poor business and showed KARMAOWNERSHIPFEELSTHEYCANTREAT ‘NONCELEBRITIES’ LIKETRASH and we would just take it. To end the story of KARMA’s incompetence, the event planner tells my wife and I she would give us a call when they receive response from R Kelly’s management. Of course we begin looking for another venue to have the event, an extremely difficult feat in Atlanta. Three days before my wife’s the event planner call saying R Kelly ditched them and said I could have the party there. I promptly said NOWAY& notified Karma that I would be letting their customers know KARMACARESNOTHINGABOUTTHEIRLOYALEVERYDAYCUSTOMERS! KARMA should not be in business!
