I have ordered to pick up 2x and have not been disappointed yet. The lady in the front is always pleasant. I love the sauce they use for their suya, it’s super spicy and flavorful. We also got the egusi and pounded yam and it is one of the best I have had. I will be going back to try the other dishes on the menu.

Good food and friendly service! I got the fufu(which I always crave) and groundnut soup, which was flavorful and slick with palm oil. My dining companion got the jollof rice and chicken, which was hot and peppery in the best way. Will definitely come back here to satisfy my next West African food craving.

No words… I ordered Cassava leaves without beef today. I spoke with the owner at 2 and she said order will be ready at 4. I called back at 4:00 and they took my number and said they would ring me when dish was ready, 8:30 no phone call. I called back to ask what happened and the owner picked up. When she identified me she said my order was ready, I asked her if she was certain and that I had an allergy to beef. She told me to hold on and gave the phone to a waitress. The waitress then told me owner left and she didn’t know what tell me… SMH. I am really saddened by this.

The worst customer service ever! Called at 6 to place my order the lady on the phone says it will be ready in two hours. I really wanted to eat here from what I’ve heard so I said ok. Only to show up 2h30m and the last tells me my order isn’t ready. I asked to speak to a manager the manager told me to wait 25m I waited 45 than asked about my order, only for her to tell me they hadn’t even put the lamb on the grill. I was so annoyed after driving an hour to get there that. Just picked up my bag and left. Horrible service. Not sure about the food. Stay away from this place because of the derive alone! Will never return! Manager just as unprofessional as the employees

The food at this place, is great… there is one MAJOR issue. They keep failing inspections. If you are a foodie, and/or love international cuisine, this spot is for you. The menu is diverse have so many varieties of foods and flavors to try, I am sure you won’t be disappointed. The greens, the jolloof rice, the African Chicken Peanut Stew, the everything! The only thing disappointing part is that sometimes they run out of what you want, because everyone wants what YOU want! BONUS: I was used to ordering the African Chicken Peanut Stew, but because my toddler is allergic to peanuts I couldn’t order it any longer. They made suggestions of how I could get something closely related to the taste of what I wanted to order. They made it with Palm Oil. They have a customer forever. simply because of that. Here is the menu:

This was my first time visiting this place. No one told me it would take over an hour for my food before I paid for it. I will NOT go back here because the wait is just crazy. I had my kids with me in the car. Ended up cancelling my order after waiting over an hour. Never AGAIN.

This was my first time trying West African cuisine so I may be a little biased in my review, but this food was AMAZING! I read a novel a little while ago that was set in Nigeria and the descriptions of the dishes made me find the nearest West African restaurant to try these dishes for myself. I arrived with hopes of ordering a Ghanian dish that came highly recommended by my West African friends called«Palm nut soup», but unfortunately the restaurant was out of this dish when I went. So instead I ordered a Nigerian staple, Pepper soup… It did not disappoint! I’m a big soup person anyway, so the rich and savory broth and huge pieces of meat immediately won me over. I also added some of the hot sauce that the waitress gave us for an extra kick. As a side, I ordered jollof rice. SOGOOD. I’m actually upset that I’ve waited this long to experience the deliciousness that it is. To top off my experience, the waitress was so nice and helpful. As it was our first experience, she took the time to make suggestions and answered any questions we had. I have zero complaints about this place and am already planning my next visit!

I met this gentleman from Mali who was very eager to introduce me to his culture… I love it, as my preference is to eat food that is not typical American fare. He bought some fish, baked with onions, tomatoes, cucumbers in a delicious sauce. Along with cassava and plantans, this meal was authentic and delicious – totally satisfying my curiosity. Although he paid, he did warn me that if I wanted to get it on my own it could get pricey. $ 25 for the meal we have was well worth it to mw. Will definitely eat here again, regardless of whether me and this Malian work out.

Went to this place for the first time last night and it was awesome. The people were very friendly and even better the food was DELISH! My boyfriend had ate there before so he recommended we go to try the spinach and cassava leaf. The fish was crispy and flavorful not too seasoned and not to fried to the point it only taste like grease. The peppers were HOT but I’m not really a spicy food eater. However I couldn’t stop adding a dash in my food! I could tell the food contained a lot of fresh veggies and seasonings like the peppers and gravy! This place was absolutely divine!

The waitress ended up being very nice but they didn’t have a lot of menu items, probably almost half the menu. It was a Saturday, about 4pm. They were showing Nigerian soccer on the tv screens so that might be a plus. They do have beer and wine.

I took my friend and his daughter to Mina’s on a week night. It would be their first taste of Africa food from any region and also a treat for being sooo patient. The food was excellent and Mina came out to greet us. The previous reviewer was right about the service and the food. What they didn’t mention was that the prices they charge are ALWAYS higher than what is quoted on the menu. That is the biggest turn off or me. Ginger beer is an example. $ 1.75 on the menu, $ 2.25 on the bill. The same was true for each dish. Can you say, priced yourself out of a tip?!

I went to Mina’s Kitchen last night with a group of friends to partake in their West African cuisine. We chose Mina’s primarily because we had two guests from Liberia in town. The majority of our table has been to West Africa and therefore had high expectations for the food. That said, the food was pretty great. Our table had a mixture of Liberian and Nigerian foods. We had fufu, cassava, tilapia, dodo(plantains), groundnut soup(very spicy), and cow foot… the place is not particularly vegetarian friendly… I don’t necessarily recommend the dining experience itself– it is one room without any sort of ambiance. And we had a significant wait for the food to be prepared — they made it on the spot. All in all — we approved of the authenticity of the food and it was quite good. If you are indeed Liberian — bring your own peppa.
