My parents have lived in this complex for a little over a year. I’ve dealt very closely with the office staff over this year, and I have to say at the beginning it was very rocky. Nothing got fixed — his stove did not work for over 3 months among other things. The former manager(Angela) called me one day from a number that wasn’t with the complex. I googled the number and it turned up as an escort service — I was reluctant to call the number back but when I did, I was surprised to see it was her personal cell phone. It was on the website of the agency and everything so I don’t think it was a mistake. Not sure what going on with that. I continued having problems with having their stove fixed, then their dishwasher, etc. Eventually, everyone in the office was let go. Then, Miss Ana Maria took over as the Manager. Things changed. If we called in a maintenance request, it was often fixed same day. The gym was finally opened and the pool kept clean! The former management and staff were pretty bad but once the new management took over, everything got better. The neighbors are hit and miss — some are really great, others are constantly smoking marijuana and the smell is overpowering. Upstairs neighbors smoke and throw cigar ends and the tobacco from the inside of the cigars over their balcony into my dads porch. Awesome. My dad signed a 14 month lease that somehow morphed into a 15 month lease — not sure how that happened but one day I logged into the website to pay his rent and it suddenly said 15 months. He was initially put into a different apartment when he signed the lease and a couple weeks later on moving day, he showed up with the UHaul and was told by the office staff he couldn’t move in yet because the apartment wasn’t ready. Well? What was he supposed to do with the UHaul he already paid for? Where was he supposed to live? After HOURS of trying to get somewhere, they finally agreed to put him into a different apartment, with a smaller different floorplan. I was extremely upset about the way he was treated. I had the utilities connected at the initial apartment he was given, and although no one in our family had access to this apartment, the gas and power was somehow ran up to bills over $ 200. The power and gas was used by SOMEONE, whether it was the apartment complex itself or another tenant and WE were billed for it. This issue was supposed to have been resolved by corporate, who had agreed to give my father a credit on his rent, and as of today, he has not received a credit. Now this is on his credit … because we refused to pay a bill that we did not run up. The area itself isn’t that great, which is one of the reasons why my parents are moving. I am not one to give a review a month or two in to a lease, but their lease is up next month, thank goodness. Overall, this is an attractive complex from the outside. There are a ton of spiders though. The grounds are clean and well maintained, and the maintenance staff is really nice. My neighbor was robbed of an expensive bracelet one day when no one had been in his apartment except for maintenance. He ended up suing the complex and was comped rent for the duration of his lease.back. He never got his bracelet Although the maintenance guy ended up being let go — just be warned about that.
