Roast beef is VERY good. Chicken Kabob Salad was VERY small for what they charge. Came with NO Feta, and a small HALFPEICE of Pita Bread.

Have had many different items from their menu. Before i get to the food, just want to mention that their clam chowder was such a pleasant, awesome surprise. in that I could not believe how good it was from a place that is not known for it. I would go there just for that. Their roast beef rocks. fine pieces of roast beef piled on sesame rolls.delicious.Salads, especially antipasto excellent.Seafood.drool.so good. love their clams, scallops(fried or baked) and sides, with fries, onion rings or rice. Fish is great too. Well I could go on and on and bore you more. but just go, try anything and you will find it excellent. Only thing. recently they stopped delivery :(Disappointment.but luckily i live close. worth the trip.

I love this place, the food feels freshly made. I love their soups, they are not grease like in other places I’ve been too. The broil haddock is one more of my favorites, as well as the chicken kabob over greek salad. The staff is fast and friendly.

Small side order of fried clams. $ 15.50 plus tax. It was not small, it was plenty. And delicious. Tender, tasty, and cooked perfectly. Fast, friendly service. Served on paper plate with plastic fork and great tartar sauce.

I’ve been going here more frequently the past few months. Haven’t had a bad meal yet. *Roast Beef sammich… decent rare roast beef with sauce on a warm seeded roll. Not quite on par with Billy’s or Kipo’s in Wakefield but very good nonetheless. Blows Kelly’s away but who doesn’t nowadays. *Broiled Seafood… nice size piece of salmon which was cooked rare on one occasion and medium well on another. Not sure if it was a different cook but very noticeable. The rare piece could have stayed in the broiler for another couple of minutes but I was okay with it. I think most others would have returned it to have it cooked more thoroughly. The rice pilaf was really good the night I got the rare fish. The night I got the medium well fish, the rice was dried out. All in all, I will continue to go there for the broiled salmon because it seems pretty fresh and the price is right. *Fried Seafood… I’ve had the fried Fisherman’s Platter once. Shrimp, scallops, haddock, whole clams, fries and O-rings. I thought everything was good. I would get it again if in the mood. Huge portions. **Chicken Kabob Plate… Got this meal the other day. I am a big guy and I could only eat half. Not sure if this is their regular serving or not but I swear it was almost 2 pounds of chicken. The spice was good… not overpowering. Rice pilaf and small side salad. Would absolutely get this again as it is priced right at around $ 10. All in all, I think the Liberty Bell is very good for the type of restaurant it is. If you order a fried plate, I recommend you sit down and eat it there if you can. Fried food has to be eaten right out of the basket. Once you pile it into a Styrofoam container, staple it inside a brown paper bag and then drive home, you’re going to be disappointed 9 times out of 10. The counter staff is friendly and the food comes out pretty quick. They also offer a Combo deal where you can match up a sandwich with a half order of fried chicken fingers or shrimp and a side of fries. I usually go with the Roast Beef and the shrimp. This place is worth a try.

This is my go to takeout/delivery place in Stoneham. Their food is very good and consistent. Our delivery’s always arrive earlier than estimated and pick up orders are always quick. Of my many orders, they have yet to get anything wrong. I don’t know what it is, but the chicken fingers here are the best around. They have a great selection of specialty subs you won’t find at your average sub shop. Another great thing is they have small, medium, and large appetizers. You can order just what you’d like of certain things and portions are generous. They also offer very great combo plates. I don’t understand the negative reviews. This is the best takeout place around and quite a large selection.

How does this place have 3.5 stars?! I went there last night(for the first time) to pick up dinner for my family. When I collected the bags, they were already saturated with grease. When I got home and opened the dinners, they were basically sitting in a pool of grease. It was disgusting. The onion rings were totally inedible and only a few of the French fries were ok to eat. Now I understand that this is a fried food place, but do they dip the entire pick up bag in the fryer before you pick it up? Our food was absolutely swimming in grease. In addition to our food being borderline inedible, they forgot to include various side dishes, like rice and salad. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Liberty Bell any time soon.

Ordered a chicken finger dinner a couple of weeks ago and noticed that there was less chicken than usual and the amount of fries/onion rings was about half as much as usual. Just ordered the same thing and got the same amount as a couple of weeks ago. Liberty Bell is known for fast service and large portions. Very disappointed in the quantity change and after the two recent disappointing orders, won’t order from them again. I expect the same quality and quantity every time. The amount of food just isn’t worth the price anymore.

Just FYI, this place doesn’t honor the coupons they advertise on their website. You have to print them which it doesn’t say on the coupon.(It says«present the coupon when ordering» which I did, on my phone, like basically everywhere else in the world in the year 2014. I was told that they have to have the print out or their registers will be short.) I just have no patience for this type of thing anymore. Like, update your website with that important detail, or honor the coupon. The coupon is why we chose to try this place over the other 500 sub shops in Stoneham and despite having it right in front of me, they wouldn’t honor it. I just don’t have the patience for that kind of lackluster customer service and crappy experience. Also, the fries were cold and soggy in the parking lot — I mean, I didn’t even get home before they were bad, they were bad before leaving the premises. Will not return.

I was craving a seafood plate last night… first place I thought of was liberty bell… woburn has no place for fried seafood… I always enjoy this place! It’s clean, well priced, and really good! My seafood plate was excellent. I would just say the fish on the plate was ok… I’ve had fresher. but the scallops and clams perfection! I brought the shrimps home for my daughter… love the fries and rings. it’s a great seafood plate. big bowl of cole slaw too! You can’t beat the $ 19.99 price. well worth it! Everyone who works there is super friendly and very nice! Oh. and the tarter sauce is great!

First time my co-workers and I ordered from Liberty Bell. Easy to order on the phone, and the food was delivered faster than they quoted. But what seemed odd was the price. We paid, then ate. Good food! We all enjoyed our meals. My problem is about pricing. NOWHERE on the menu does it say«We charge for extraneous toppings.» I mean really 25 cents for lettuce on a sandwich? I asked for dressing to dip my fried mushrooms in, and that cost extra, too! Which I can see, but you might want to mention that while I’m ordering. It’s a little misleading if you ask me. Needless to say I’ll prob suggest other places instead next time we all want lunch or supper.

Liberty Bell is located about a mile from my workplace and we decided to try it one day. I ordered the chicken kabob Caesar salad and I was completely blow away. Hands down, the greatest salad I’ve ever eaten anywhere. This is now my go-to place for salads on Fridays at lunch.

I really thought this place was great! Grilled Chicken salad is really good. UNTILTHEY screwed up my order and I when I called there was NOTHING they could do to rectify the problem. I ordered a large salad, picked it up in a Blizzard BUT when I got to my desk at work to eat it, it was a small. so dissapointing

Liberty Bell is a great go-to restaurant. Nothing too fancy, just your old reliable kind of place. I have never had a bad meal from here, and there are lots of great choices no matter what you’re in the mood for on any given day. The chicken kabob is really good; I like it in a wrap or in a salad. The roast beef is also delicious, and the fries are very good too. The service is always fast and friendly whether you’re picking up or getting delivery. I’ve never eaten in the restaurant, but I’ve been in there to pick up my order and it always looked clean, bright, and modern.

Since I’m a local and live in Stoneham, I frequently visit the Liberty bell in both Stoneham and Melrose. I definitely LOVE their buffalo chicken, when I’m trying to be good I’ll get it on a salad with their tasty house dressing. If I’m feeling sick(ahem, hungover) I’ll grab it in sub form which is deeelicious! I think they could use more veggies and less white lettuce in the salad, but the chicken usually makes up for that to me, I’m definitely satisfied. Plus they give you a piece of pita. Roast beef is good, very classic and what you’d expect. I’ve tried a few of the wraps but nothing does it for me like the buffalo chicken.

I am writing this review on Liberty Bell’s fried clams mainly. When I am craving fried clams, Liberty Bell serves the fattest and freshest fried clams period. They are expensive as all hell for a reason and that reason is that they pay top dollar for fresh product that comes through in the taste. They don’t just taste better than Kelly’s, but they are like placing a skanky stripper beside a supermodel. Just do yourself a favor and don’t order the clam plate for $ 18, order the large or small clam side($ 20 and $ 15). You pay more for the clam plate for a big plate of french fries and less clams… if I am going to dish out that much then I want the most of what I want. The true judges of fried clams are my mom and grandmother. When I bring my mom fried clams from Liberty Bell… she makes a happy face similar to the one I used to make a as a kid eating mac and cheese. My grandmother is over 90 and can hardly walk anymore… but put these clams in front of her and she morphs into Kobayashi for christ’s sake. The clam meat is always tender and the bellies are huge and I have yet to have a single grain of sand in my fried clams to date. Year after year they somehow consistently have the best friend clams around. That’s saying something from a family of fried clam aficionados! The other food from Liberty bell is pretty good as well. The fried haddock is $$$. The shrimp and scallops are more run of the mill fried shrimp and scallops IMO. The sandwiches are on par with any other sub shop around, but what sets them apart to me are the perfect fried clams they serve. I can buy a salad anywhere, but I can’t get perfect clams anywhere. Love at first food… Viva la fried clams! What a true foodgasm is all about.
