Massage Envy

At times, rude reception upfront and rude staff!!! Some are good but that’s only few. This makes any service not enjoyable at this place.

Masters of the hard sell… borders on a scam scam scamity scam.
Kevin and Melissa are great! This review does not reflect their great work, we felt very relaxed afterwards.
But then the hard sell started. We went to pay, and they suggested a monthly program. Sounds good, but they had ALREADY TAKEN OUR CARD INFORMATION when we were informed that there was no real easy way to cancel, and we would be committed for 12 months. Very sleazy.
I could go on, but its safe to say that its better to avoid this chain, or just pay for individual massages.

I had a great massage today with Cory. It wasn’t relaxing per se but it was cathartic. I told him what my pain points were and that he could do whatever he thought was best for my back pain. It felt more like a physical therapy session but he did work out a lot of knots that I had and it had been years since I had a massage. The Stoneham location is very clean; I’ve been to two and both were very clean. I went because I received a gift card for a massage and facial. I planned on using the facial in the future however it sounds like since I didn’t sign up to become a member today they won’t acknowledge the gift card for the facial. My complaint is the same as other reviewers (since I had been before I knew that at the end they would bully me into a membership), at the end when you are feeling good, they strong arm you into a membership. I wanted to think about it and the receptionist said that since I didn’t sign up for the membership I can’t use the gift card for my facial. Well, I can but I’ll have to pay the difference since the gift card was at the member rate and I’ll have to pay for the non-​member rate. I would go back to get a massage with Cory but I don’t think I’ll sign up for a membership. While they would like you to come in every 3 weeks… financially: for the membership, massages and paying for a babysitter-​wise, it’s not something I will commit to.

Massage Envy Spa of Stoneham has quickly become one of my favorite places to come and de-​stress every month! They make it very affordable and they are always able to find a spot for me when I really need to come in. I have been able to work with many of the different therapists and estheticians that are employed there and they are all fabulous. The monthly wellness program they offer allows me to enjoy both massages and facials at a 50% savings off of the walk-​in pricing. I have been a member with them for about a year now. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing and the spa is very clean. The front desk people are more than accommodating and happen to be very friendly, professional, and efficient. They even take walk-​in clients :)
