Hair and Style by Jax

We have all seen a dancer «counting» while they dance? Over all too tight and technical. Then there are the those who glide and move with such fluidity it is obvious they were born to dance. Well that’s how I see hair stylists. And JAX was born to style, color and cut hair. She is as friendly as she is professional. Punctual and helpful in suggesting what look is best for you. She doesn’t upsell. She only offers services she believes in and is someone I would trust with my hair, nails and skin. She always makes me feel beautiful and sexy! Plus she helps with tips on how to continue managing it daily.

Had another great visit with Jax today. Got myself a trim/​shape up to my hair and a glaze to add some shine back to my locks. My hair was so shiny afterwards that when I left and got into the sun, I texted Jax to ask if any color was in the glaze, because my hair looked amazing. There wasn’t! The treatment & technique she used was so good that the shine made my hair radiate a beautiful version of my natural color, which was just beyond what I could have imagined. Such a wonderful outcome! Thanks, Jax!!!

Jax recently cut and colored my hair. I am usually a blonde with brassy highlights especially after two months post dye. She brought my base to a deeper brown with blonde highlights! I couldn’t be happier! My hair tends to turn green if too much ash color is used but, she listened to me and understood exactly what I wanted!!! She also helped me decide to go with bangs and I am SO HAPPY! Her attention to detail is awesome and I have been getting compliments everywhere I go! I wish I could add a before and after picture to prove her skills!

I love jax, she listens to me and totally customizes my hair styles, hair cuts, any hair needs! Love her advice, and how she educates me during the process! 2014 is looking Smart is Sexy with her help!

I love having Jax do my hair. She is always very precise, and patient and never cuts anymore than asked for. She is great at face framing and her styling is always on point. I am really grateful for her services and I recommend her highly.

I made the ridiculous decision to cut my hair myself (at 1am) because I just had to have a short bob «right now». When I came to my senses I went to see Jax to clean it up and I have never looked back. She fixed my homemade bob, and a few weeks later (when I finally took her advice) she angled it. Then when I decided to take the plunge to really short, she gave me the perfect cut. Now that I’m growing it out again I will be visiting her to help me manage the awkward, «growing-​out-​your-​pixie-​cut», mullet stage haha!
Jax really listens to you, takes the time to get the details right and gives you exactly what you want. If you want amazing hair, go see this rockstar. She will not disappoint!
BTW, she’s an amazing woman with a kick-​ass personality and just the right amount of sass :)

Lucky me, I was blessed with good hair and have pretty much rocked every style there is (yes, even a mullet but hey it was the 80’s). My hair has more personalities than most women (I have 4 sisters, don’t argue ladies) and there are very few stylists (yes, I said stylist and no I’m not gay) that I trust with my coiffure (seriously… not gay). Jax is definitely one of them. Jax has a great eye for detail and knows what will work and what won’t (and the attitude to tell you it won’t which most guys need. Sorry fellas, but most of you need to quit chasing the ghost). Add to that her awesome personality, and you’ll not only get a great cut/​style, but it will be accompanied by quality convo too!

Okay this is a super late review,
A week or so back I booked a blow out With Jax.
I have super curly hair and I am really picky about how my hair gets done. I heard she very good with curls so I went in on a Wednesday afternoon.
The salon in in the back of this quad area and has free valet, which is always good. The inside was very clean and super cute. I really like the wallpaper.
Now to the actual service, when I checked in Jax was there and greeted me and showed me to her chair. She asked me about my hair and what kind if styling I would like. When I came in my hair was straightened by flat iron that I had done about three days before. I explained to her about my curls and told her I waned to keep a smooth style. She said it would be a pice of cake and took me to the shampoo bowl.
They use all Paul Mitchell products there, so she use a combination of the curl line and their moisture line to bring back some much-​needed moister to my ultra dry hair. She gave me one of the best shampoos I have ever had. I think I even fell a sleep for a bit… haha.
After the wash we went back to the chair and she began the blow out. My hai is cut some where in-​between a bob and a pixie so getting the curl out is a pain. But Jax blew it all out no problem, she did not even need a flat iron!
I was so very impressed. I usually hate getting my hair done. My hair was shiny, light and so soft. I could not believe she manage to do all of that with just a brush and blow dryer.
Needless to say Jax is my new go-​to for all my hair needs.
Oh also as a side, the price was fair too. The best $ 35 bucks I have spent in a long time.
