I had an AMAZING time at The Village. Great atmosphere(loved the brussel sprouts). Shout out to our very friendly and attentive hostess, Megan. Will definitely be coming back.

The environment was nice and beautiful, however, they have a poor service. It took them 1hours and 45 min to bring the order. The server had to be reminded constantly to fill in the water, and the food overall tasted flavorless. I asked the front desk rep. to notify the manager that we’ve been waiting for the food for more than an hour, however, the manager didnt even bother to check on the order or to come and talk to us as a courtesy…

If your looking for great tacos after 9pm this is the place to be. If you want the best server to go along good food come ask for Hunter. He’s the best server here.

The food was great last night, 6⁄2! Especially the chopped salad(which was identical to LaLoggia’s) The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because of the waitress last night. She NEVER smiled and acted like she didn’t like her job. I was with my friends inside in a booth table — we were all so happy to be there(1st time here for me). But the waitress was SUCH a downer. It kind of ruined the vibe of the evening. The meatballs and brussel sprouts were yummy, but the chopped salad was the best. If I come back, hopefully their wait staff will be more professional :/

The service was great and they had a huge selection of beers and spirits! The restaurant/bar was beautiful and welcoming. Parking however can be rough… so be prepared to walk a bit. Definitely retuning to try the food! It looked amazing.

Warm food, cold service and $ 14 cocktails. This is a great place to go with a group of friends and order a variety of plates. Everything we ordered was excellent, especially the mussels and pizzas. Gripes: None of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there… no smiles, not personable and just overall buzzkills. This whole $ 14 cocktail movement in The Valley is not cool. Personally, I prefer to drink my beer out of a regular pint glass, rather than a mason jar, but maybe I’m just not enough hipster.

Best and sexiest lounge/restaurant/bar in all of The Valley! Bourbon with Bacon, is simply the icing on this cake!!! Amazing vibe!

This was my first time eating here, I had been here before for drinks. The first time I was at The village for drinks, I was disappointed by how expensive a cocktail was. My second(and last) time at The Village I ordered take away. I got two pizzas, meatballs, and the ribs. NOTHING was good. Portions were small— WAY too small for the 70 dollars I spent on these 4 items. The ribs were supposed to be sold with a sweet potato… In actuality they smeared sweet potato purée on a piece of bread. On top of that was only 2 ribs. 2 ribs!!! For almost 20 dollars. No thank you. The Mushroom pizza was chewy and tasteless. On top of ALL of that, my friend and I who shared the food BOTH got sick the next day. I still don’t feel well, which is honestly the main reason I’m writing this review. Bad food, bad quality, overpriced. I will never go here again.

I came here for a company event, and enjoyed it very much. The staff was attentive and friendly. We tried some pizzas, the cauliflower, short ribs, the brussels sprouts, and even some tortellini. It was all very tasty. These kinds of vegetables I can eat everyday! I can see how this restaurant does so well with their small bites concept. I even came out with a new go to gin cocktail: the East Sider. It has hints of cucumber and mint, and is very refreshing.

First time here. Very small portions for happy hour. Sliders were good but tiny. Truffle fries were only okay. Jalapeño Mac-n-cheese was runny. Jamon Iberico & manchengo cheese was delicious but small. Drinks were not good. the Cool Clemens tasted like they used artificial lime juice. I did like the open feel of the bar and our server was attentive.

It’s not my first time in here and till now I was happy with everything, I am not sure what happened this time but the food was horrible. I have ordered humus and grilled fish the hummus was super small and it was tasted like it had 2 lemons squeezed into it. I couldn’t even eat it, And the fish was saturated in oil and salty, obviously I couldn’t eat it so I asked for another dish which was chicken tacos with mango and CESAR salad and it was great.

Great drinks, great service, nice ambiance, great value. Came here for a friends birthday on a Saturday night. Valet service was a nominal fee. Lounge like atmosphere and couches. Nice bar that is indoor and outdoor. Overall great layout. Loud ambiance so if you’re looking to be one on one with someone or on a date, try and get seated in the corner. Awesome happy hour past 10p.$ 2 tacos, and let me tell you, they don’t cheap out. Tacos were made with attention to detail. $ 10 – 12 for drinks. I ordered several specialty drinks(I told him what see wanted in her drink and BOOM! It was done). I would have expected it to be a bit busier on a Saturday, but it seems like it gave it more charm in that sense. I would recommend coming here on a date, have several drinks and get tipsy. Order food at happy hour(wide selection of tacos) and fill up. Oh and make sure to make your date laugh gentlemen, who doesn’t love to laugh?

Sat at the bar for happy hour one Day. I was sitting at the end of the bar(one of closest seats to the door) and After taking my food/drink order, and pouring my beer– the bartender walks to the other end of the bar and pulls out his cell phone. The food comes out, and It wasn’t bad but no one ever asked how I was doing or if I was enjoying the food/drinks. Didn’t hear from the bartender again until about 5 minutes after my beer was gone. I had been wanting a glass of water, but I refuse to yell out or make some sort of large movement to gain attention. It’s not like it was a busy night, and I’m sure the bartender and I don’t have much in common but I did feel kind of ignored while I was there. Needless to say I won’t be returning anytime soon. And he’s lucky he got my 20%. I feel bad leaving anything less, and unfortunately for him I’m known to leave 50% tips on happy hour to people who are kind, attentive, and genuine. I know your working at a discounted price, and if your service is not diminished by that, I feel you should be rewarded. I’ll definitely be going back to MexiCali(right down the street) for their service and amazing happy hour deals.

Found this place here on Unilocal after doing a search for good happy hour on Ventura Blvd and was not disappointed! Location: Conveniently located on Ventura Blvd, right in the middle of my commute home, easy to spot as you are approaching and not annoyingly hidden like some business along Ventura Parking: $ 3 valet, super nice guys, can’t beat the price and not having to worry about snagging a metered spot nearby Ambiance: I chose a spot at the bar, was welcomed immediately, loved the low lighting, picture frames on the wall, cozy seating against the back wall. Food: Really liked the brussel sprouts and jalapeño mac n cheese, got the meatballs as well and wasn’t crazy about them(personal preference) $ 5 each so really good prices overall Negatives: the reason for my 3 star rating is purely personal preference — this wasn’t my absolute favorite out of all the places I’ve been for a few small reasons. 1) bartender was super friendly to me when I was sitting there alone waiting for a friend, but once my friend arrived, he was less than engaging, didn’t check in very much and took a little while to get us the bill when we asked for it 2) the bigger issue for me were the bathrooms — you have to go through a door that I assumed would lead right to the bathrooms, but you end up in this odd area that is adjacent to another business and you have to walk through that area to get to the bathrooms. Additionally, the bathroom was not kept up and the door wouldn’t lock, so I was even more on edge. Just didn’t feel very safe overall.

This bar is really one of my favorites for date night. It’s romantic and chic. The wine by the walls and the candles on the tables set the date vibe of the place! Food & drinks: I like eating light here since it is pricey. However, it is worth every penny. From the strawberry margaritas to their hand crafted beers and extraordinary wine collection, it is completely worth paying for. My only issue is their food portions being too small. I ordered mini sliders and although the burgers were adorable due to their size, they were too small. My boyfriend had to order 2 to get full. Service: Since I was there around 8, the place was already packed. However, the service wasn’t bad at all. Our waitress was attentive and cordial. I enjoyed her attentiveness and customer service. Parking: Valet is $ 3. Street parking is a hassle; don’t bother looking. You’ll be paying about the same price for parking valet anyway, as might as well give it to valet and have them bring the car out front for you. The Village is best for bringing a date since it definitely gives off a charming vibe, especially with the décor. It is best suited to set off intimate vibes, which is why bringing a special someone here is a good choice.

I came to The Village for my friends 21st birthday and I like the idea of a tapas style restaurant. The drinks were pretty good and the food was tasty. I enjoyed my pizza and they were really generous with the prosciutto on top. Other people at the table enjoyed their food but it was hard to fill up especially for the guys. The fish and chips seemed to be popular at our table but my friends wished the portions were a little bigger for the prices. I could spend the same amount and get a full meal at any other restaurant. The environment is really nice and I like the mix of high and low tables that create a lounge atmosphere. The décor is really welcoming and fun as well. The Village is a cool place to go but I would not come back for dinner. A drink and a bar snack is a better option since it’s mainly tapas. If you are really hungry, the pizza is definitely the way to go!

Aside from The Village being slightly pretentious, you can’t beat their food and hand-crafted cocktails. They are vegetarian friendly, have indoor and outdoor seating, valet, a photo booth, a variety of craft beers and more. +Wood Oven Roasted Corn — $ 7 +Oven Baked Meatballs — $ 7 +Crispy Cauliflower — $ 8 +Brussels Sprouts — $ 8 +Carnitas Pizza — $ 16 **HIGHLY Recommended** +Potato Pizza — $ 17 –Creamy Spinach and Lentil Dip — $ 9(not my fav, but worth trying) I’ve been here a handful of times(for lunch, dinner and late night cocktails & eats) and have enjoyed it each time. The servers are not overly friendly, but are attentive when you need them. If you try coming here past 7:30, this place will be packed… you’ve been warned. The Village is definitely one of my go-to spots and worth every penny.

I have never had a bad time here! Food, drinks, atmosphere are all top notch. Staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive. I have been possibly a dozen times, and It’s usually on top of my list of places to go. The Brussel sprouts are ridiculous. The flat breads(the vegan one in particular) are amazing. I’m more of a vodka drinker or old fashioned so when it comes to many cocktails my suggestions fall short. I have seen them make them, and they seem very unique. In the summer when the roof is open, and sitting on the indoor patio is really something else. Do yourself a favor, and get here.
