I’ve been eating Cousin’s Subs since they opened their first store in Milwaukee in 1972(60th St and Silverspring for you sub historians). Unfortunately since moving to Northern IL, they’ve become an infrequent treat.(The three Cousins close by all closed — Frowny Face !). The subs continue to be high quality — the best around. I hope to be eating them for another 40 years.

My friend brought me here after picking me up at the train depot, to get sandwiches to take home for us and others still at her home. She was ordering the tuna fish sandwiches and I thought, why not try it? She claimed they were better than Subway. I’m already familiar with Subway in my home area and I already know that Subway makes some good sandwiches, but tuna fish is NOT one of them. And wow, I was not even all that hungry but I could tell that was easily the beet tuna fish sandwich I’d ever had! I only gave it 4 stars because there is not one in Union Grove. It’s a week later and I’m wondering if it is worth it to make another drive out there(in the snow!)??
