The place looks good, but the customer service is awful. This was the second time i visited this place. first time i did order burger with artichoke but they messed up my order. today i ordered burger with french fries but when i came home there was no french fries at all. prices are high for the quality and service. very disappointed. please don’t waist your money.

Nice place to stop for a salad or sandwich. Clean, spacious. Located in Sugar Land’s Town Center it’s been awhile since I’ve been here but it’s located conveniently close to the parking garage which is indoor which is very nice if its a hot summer day! I like their condiments bar which is well stocked with items like roasted garlic, pickled carrots and pepperocinis which I have a weakness for! I like their Caesar salads and they have a really good potato soup! So good! Fast, courteous and moderately priced, a nice place to pop in if in the mood for a soup or sandwich!

Terrible, Overpriced, Lousy Service. Do yourself a favor, spend your money elsewhere. For 42 bucks me and the wife got the luxury of drinking wine at the wrong Temp, getting up to get our own food, silverware and napkins. I got the Alfredo Pasta with undercooked chicken and Pasta so bad it made me envy the Olive Garden! Sorry we wasted our time and money here. Save yourself the time and get some frozen dinners at the Supermarket you wont be as disappointed that way UPDATE Surprisingly the Manager called me and apologized for the ordeal and appeared to be sincere. May try this or another location again. Time will tell

This place was nasty from the moment you walked. Dusty and dirt with odd smell of sourness or unclean. Menu is not appealing and the food was mediocre as if I made it at home like a rushed brown bag lunch. The black bean soup was watery and hardly any beans but loaded with cilantro. The petite turkey and swiss sandwich was dry and bread had black burn spot on the top bun, very unappealing. I only ate a few bites before deciding I’d rather not eat anymore as they food was like a bad Denny’s. Will not go back and woud never recommend as it appears to be very unappealing and the place was dead at 11:30?

I’m a big fan of Café Express restaurants and this seems like a great place too with plenty of garage parking. I was there on a Saturday and the food took a little while, but that only meant that it was being freshly prepared instead of pre-made. Not much to say about the franchise except that they are affordable and healthy.

A friend and I stopped here for a working lunch only because around the corner, Japaneiro’s was jam-packed with a long wait. Never again. I ordered a grilled chicken entrée which comes with a side vegetable. This dish of little chicken and a tomatoes/artichoke was tiny… not what I would consider an entrée size, more like a side. Taste was just average, nothing special. Poor value at $ 11. Not planning to return.

The menu has a variety of options but the food taste of low quality. It literally taste look everything came out of a freezer from a packaged bag. It’s also quite pricy too for something that tastes like plastic. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere nice and fresh to eat.

What happened here? Other locations(West Gray & Meyerland) are much better. The floor sticky, tables dirty, out of breadsticks, knives and mint. The food prices went up and quality down. It will be a long time until or even if I return to this one, or any Café Express after this experience.

Food is great the service was good as well. I’m in love with the shrimp scampi and the baked potato soup. I must admit the pricing is a bit expensive.

Ordered a Salad with Chicken. The lettuce was warm and the chicken was really tough. It appeared the chicken had been cooked a few days before. I was surprised. I have been here before as I live close by but I have had good luck.

I go to this location about once a week. They are so accommodating. A group of friends and I consistently play Canasta there, and they are always polite to us. I have also noticed that on Wednesdays a large church group holds a Bible discussion there. They have been very good about cooking my food w special requests(e.g. chicken breast and vegetables cooked dry), and the facilities are not uncomfortably loud or cold like many other Café Expresses I have been to. I am a fan of their unsweetened blackberry iced tea(and I love that their drink area condiments include mint leaves and stevia). I also like the brussel sprouts and salmon and turkey cobb salad. The condiments for the food are wonderful: sun-dried tomatoes, roasted garlic, pickles, Parmesan, flavored olive oils, etc. The fact that my diet limits me to only a few dishes on the menu but I always look forward to going there reflects the high-quality of the food and service.

Terrible food, terrible service. Plus, apparently terrible toasters. Breakfast bowl was a big mushy mess of grossness. And the toaster didn’t work! So, when picking up my order, I was told they just put regular bread in there. Ugh. Go someplace else.

I ordered the 13 $ shrimp and avocado with bacon salad and a drink. Total was 16.50 $ This is the only item I am reviewing with my star rating. It had half as much avocado or shrimp than I expected. The bacon were canned bacon bits or similar quality. Also not noted on the desk menu is this is a spicy salad. The avocado was browning and might have been a third of an avocado. There were 5 or 6 shrimp. They were in their shells but happily were veined already. Thumbs down until quantity and quality improves or the price drops 4 $.

Amazing breakfast! Came two days in a row when I was in town for breakfast. Southwest scramble is the best!

Favorite Caesar salad but the service is less than stellar. The cashier we had was so terrible. Messed up the order for the girl in front of us. Messed up our order. Seems like she had absolutely no idea what she was doing but also didn’t seem to care that she was consistently doing her job incorrectly.

Pros: Clean establishment, usually less than 10 minutes for food to be done. Great options, can be healthy. Cons: Would love this place since I go every day for work, but this is the 4th time I ordered and paid for the roasted half chicken($ 14 including tax), & was told that they were all out. They substitute with chicken breast but on their menu, chicken breast is only $ 9, so they’re overcharging me for a dish I didn’t get. They need a better system to find out what their inventory is because I’m really peeved that they charge me for it, only to give me something less.

I am sitting at the counter of the worst restaurant in Town Center when it comes to customers service. The line is almost out the door while only two young women attempt to handle the crowd. Meanwhile what appears to be a manager has been on the phone having a conversation with someone who has nothing to do with Café Express business. He is literally giving turn directions to someplace God knows where while customers wait. This place is horrible at being customer friendly!

I typically call ahead and pick up my order. My only issue with this location is the parking. Why have to go parking and not enforce it grrrr… I always order the same thing turkey club no mayo with either fruit, salad or soup… sometimes if i’m in the mood for something else, I get the chicken tenders

I am a fan of Café Express. Every location I’ve been to, including this one, the food has been fresh, fast and fairly priced. I love their sausage pasta but on this trip it was just to grab a burger and a beer before the Sugar Land Opry down by the courthouse. I had already eaten but my godson who was with me wanted a bite to eat. We popped into Café Express there on the main drag and ordered him a basic cheeseburger and soda. I grabbed a Dos XX. We got our food in about 10 minutes and served ourselves to the condiment bar… olives, ketchup, peppers and the like. Plastic utensils and napkins are there too. You can get free refills on your sodas as long as you are dining in. I love their fries. They are never greasy and you get plenty with a burger. You can get sweet potato fries for an upcharge but their regular fries are dang good. They have a kids’ menu but the Godson is 15 and needs big food! The counter folks are always nice at Café Express and this place was no exception. It’s Café Express. They’re all about the same food wise. This one is as good as any and I’d pop back in for a quick meal in the Town Square. We usually come out for a sit down dinner and a few drinks. But for quick food this is the place.
