DC Creative Salon

I always get my hair cut there. I ask for the Manager, Helen. She’s really quick and has a great style of cut. Conversation and fun always flows there. ⁵⁄₅.

We have been going to DC Creative Salon and even though its a bit of a drive (about 30 mins) from the Medical Center, its well worth it! Staff and ambiance are very inviting and friendly. I have had two different hair stylists cut my hair and both did a very nice job. Will definitely continue to go back.

This place is not a high end salon like the kind you see in the upper hand or cutloose. It’s basically a local neighborhood salon next to a Valero gas station.
So what makes this place a 5 star establishment you ask? Helen.
Helen’s been my hairstylist for the past 10 years. She recently bought this place a few years ago to expand her business. Even today I’m willing to trek all the way to Sugarland (I live downtown) just to get my haircut by her. I think Helen knows my hair better than I know it. I’ve always trusted her opinion and it’s never backfired on me (e.g. the decision to get french bangs… which everyone LOVED).
The staff at the salon are very nice and welcoming. A majority of the customers who go here are regulars. Everyone that enters is usually greeted with a «Hi (name)! what can I do for you today?!».
The salon offers other services such as threading, waxing, nails, massages, etc. I’ve never really gotten any of those services but I believe the prices are very reasonable and affordable. If you live nearby or are looking for a new hair stylist, I highly recommend this place.

Helen is fantastic with hair! The foot massage next door is divine. And great with manicures pedicures! Perfect girlie afternoon spot
