Excellent kolaches and donuts! Mr Jeff(owner) is a French artisan bakery chef and caters to the all people of the community. He has many different flavors of kolaches, I tried the buffalo chicken and cheese, SAMOSA kolache, and spicy potatoes and cheese kolache. They were all delicious, the bread is soft and fluffy –simply delicious. The donuts are really good too! Definitely a must try!!!

This place still rocks. Went recently and they had Christmas cut donuts that were decorated. The owner was so sweet too and threw in some free donut holes. Kolaches were yummy.

Went for breakfast because I was in the area, now I wish I lived in the area! They have your normal kolache but also some interesting ones like samosa and crawfish. The guy a the counter was so friendly and brightened my day. Awesome experience!

The customer service and friendliness of the staff is superb! They are chatty and nice and I prefer that over non talkative and cold. However, the donuts are just ok. They weren’t spectacular and just didn’t «hit the spot». The cronut was not good at all. And the plain croissant wasn’t flaky and light. Inside is spacious and clean. Not sure if I will go back or not.

We love this place! I take my kids here(ages 18 months and 3 years) once every few weeks as a treat. I get the chicken feta croissant and they get the pink donuts with sprinkles. The owner is so nice and the baked goods are fresh and delicious. The location is so convenient a and the prices are great.

Solid kolaches, especially for the price. Every kolache I’ve had has been one of the«specialties», and have all been $ 3 or less and very large. There is a large selection of cheaply priced kolaches and croissants, many of which have generous portions of sausage or other fillings. The kolache dough itself is in between the lighter dough in «Asian» breads you can buy from Chinese groceries stores and the thicker/denser dough you get from Kolache Factory. Teriyaki chicken kolache. Good, typical teriyaki flavor. Generous portion of chicken. More salty than I would like, but for less than $ 3 for a huge kolache I cannot really complain. 3.5÷5 Crawfish kolache. The flavor was acceptable but nothing excellent. The crawfish was somewhat musky but the Cajun spices masked much of it and there was a good mix of cheese. Seafood in a $ 3 kolache you really can’t complain about. 3.5÷5 Samosa kolache. Potato & a little green pea with strong garam masala flavors and plenty of cilantro with a little tamarind. I love Indian food, but I did not enjoy the flavor profile and it was too carb-on-carb for me. 1.5÷5 The service was excellent. The owner was very nice and is the kind of person that just puts a smile on your face. He also got the order done quickly even though it was busy. I would definitely come back here for breakfast, especially to try the other offerings.

One of my all time favorite breakfast combo is donut and coffee. This combination is cheap, filling, sweet, and tasty. My preference is to get donut from Mom and Pop shops. This past Friday, I decided to try Mr. Donut and Kolache since it is new place close to my residence. I had a glazed, a chocolate covered, and a plain cake donuts with a cup of coffee. The donuts were good, just not as good as two of the five Mom and Pop’s shops in my neighborhood. The donuts were not as airy or as soft as I would had like(personal preference). However the coffee was good and strong. But the service was the best out of all the local donut shops in my neighborhood. The young lady and gentleman behind the counter were cheery, friendly, and quick with customer service. I will visit again since I saw boudain and crawfish kolaches on the menu.

THEBESTKOLACHESINTEXASHANDSUP!!! Mr. Doughnut serves up more than just kolaches so… Raise your hands if your ready for friendly service and delicious food. The staff was very accommodating and generous. The ranchero Kolache is a must and so I also had good feedback on the Bacon egg and cheese kolaches as well. Highly recommend this place for any and all occasions they do special orders as well.

Kolaches are great! Had the jalapeño sausage and cheese. The bread is sweet which I loved, but the wife didn’t like it. The pulled pork was excellent. The spinch and fetta was the wife’s favorite The ground beef was good too. The donuts holes were good. My 4yr old son ate them all up. Won’t be going to Shipleys anymore

We have waited for a small donut shop like this to open nearby since we moved here almost two years ago! Reminds me of a small-town, family friendly shop I loved growing up. Love the donuts, there were creative ones and typical(chocolate glazed, sprinkles, etc.) — my kids went with donut holes, twists, and sausage kolaches. Loved everything! We enjoyed our experience!

Okay this is THE donut shop for savory foods! Before I had even inhaled my first bite into the boudin kolache, I knew it was damn good. I have a very heightened sense of smell so the taste of bell peppers hit me just right. It’s pretty huge so you can share if you’d like. The next kolache I tried was the crawfish kolache. Get this. Now. It’s so good!!! It had lots of crawfish tails in an étouffée sauce and packed into one chubby bun. I loved it. The pork belly kolache was pretty darn good but a bit sweet. I think I just prefer savory more than sweet in the morning but the pork was tender none the less. The donuts were a miss for me. So sad. I wanted a really good glazed donut. It was dense and had a bit too much of the powdered sugar taste. The coffee was strong and good. This place was clean and the owners are very nice. Compared to the Grove this place is closer, but the Grove are masters of the sweet. However, this place wins for the savory! I’ll definitely be back. They are newer so I’m sure they are gonna get even better!
