After reading mixed reviews, we decided to think positively and give the place a try. My husband had the chopped bbq sandwich and fries and I had the two meat plate. I chose brisket and ribs. For my 2 sides I chose the corn casserole and ranch potatoes. The ranch potatoes were cubes of potatoes mixed with ranch dressing, cheese, bacon bits, and green onions, and baked. The brisket had decent flavor but was very dry. The ribs had parts that were black and charred they were so burned. The parts that were edible were very fatty. None of the meat was hot. The sides were only lukewarm. Potatoes were overcooked and corn casserole was bland and gross. We both got sweet tea and it tasted like water. Hubs said his sandwich was flavorless. We are not picky waters nor or we complainers, but this was truly a bad meal. We won’t be back.

Against my better judgment I tried Goings for a 230pm meal. Upon walking in I found the owner or manager I presume working the head of the line. First I can’t stand the order line style bbq restaurants, it’s so cheap, BBQ West down the road does the same. Anyhow after being greeted with a scowl from the owner type person, I looked down at his work station onto a filthy gross cutting board. The patron ahead of me ordered brisket and the server opens a heating drawer under the counter, shleps out some meet and cuts away. I was immediately grossed out. The food line had an assortment of sad sides, dried out Mac and cheese, beans, soggy vegetables, canned green beans. Their menu has steaks too, attention BBQ establishments, stick to one thing and do it well. Food was meh, fatty as hell and not very flavorful, tasted like really crappy homemade BBQ. I was starving and desperate so I cut away the fat from ribs and ate. Bathrooms have burnt out light bulbs, dirty and old. Seriously bulbs are like 5 $ for a multipack. 4 watts a bulb… PS, SMILE!!! This is the south! The proprietor seemed so out out and disgusted… Bored and bitter… Who wants to get served from and angry person. Won’t be back, Sulpher bring back Pink Pig from 8 – 10 years ago… PLEASE!

We had the ribeye special last Friday and it was great, cooked to perfection! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Stuffed potato was good. I tried the brisket too and would pass on that(dry). The corn was good(not healthy, but good).

Not impresse food to me is jut not good… the place looks crappy and the food is just not that good. The service model is bad as they have what looks like 10 people behind the line waiting to place your food and it just looks messy and un organized. I got a hamburger and it tasted like one of those cheap patties you get at walmart in a 10 pack and they just heated it up and charged me 10 dollars for… Not impressed.

Over priced. The portions are very small. The sauce is bitter with a spoiled taste to it. Ive been twice and yhey messed my order up both times because there seems to be a language barrier there. I wish it was still one of the ten other resturants it was.

Great BBQ. Had the chopped meat sandwich… sauce is amazing! My husband had the brisket & said the meat was well smoked & tender. BBQ sauce on his was a little sweet for his taste, but the jalapeño bread & sautéed veggies were perfect.

Great brisket dinner last night. I watched butcher prepare a full brisket for slicing. Perfectly smoked and juicy. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for«moist and char» when I ordered. Still good, but way too lean for my taste. Wife had perfect little ribeye. Go for the ribeye steak. Great seasoning and flavor, reasonable.

Awesome food and great service. The brisket is out of this world. The hamburgers are phenomenal too. Last time I went was on Friday during Lent and had the fish and shrimp dinner. Two huge catfish fillets and 4 butterflied shrimp, fried perfectly with 2 sides. Have eaten here 3 times in the last 2 weeks and I can’t get enough of it!

This is the third restaurant in this building in 5 years… all the others we visited once and never went back.. we’ve now been here twice… the service is great, the food is really good and fast, but not fast food… good bbq, good sides, good people, nice atmosphere it will be on my go to list.

I eat there very often. They’ve never let me down. The ribeyes, in all forms including the sandwich and baked potato, are very good. The other barbeque items and hamburger steaks are great. Stop in, you won’t be disappointed. Great food!

Amazing RIBEYESTEAKSANDWICH cost around $ 10 but totally worth it! Their brisket is also pretty great. I ate here when they were located in Texas and will still go in Louisiana.

Good barbecue sandwiches. Quick service. We stopped by commuting back to Houston. My wife had a chopped brisket sandwich and I had the sliced brisket sandwich. Small smoke ring on the sliced brisket, but the meat was tender and only slightly dry. Sulphur is a good place to stop for both chain and non-chain restaurants. We will visit this place again.
