Larry’s Giant Sub

In all honesty, Larry’s just feels like an REALLY HIGH QUALITY version of a Subway. Of course I’m from the west coast so sandwiches for me aren’t as crucial or exciting as for my East Coast husband who has usually been very happy with and impressed by Larry’s.
For him, a good sandwich is about good bread and good meat — both of which Larry’s does pretty well.
For me, a good sandwich has good bread, good meat, good cheese, and sandwich friendly vegetables. I don’t care for shredded lettuce or overly thick vegetable slices (and at Larry’s that would consistently be the cucumbers). Also, for me, I like a balance between vegetables and meat with an exciting pop of cheese… Larry’s subs seem to be designed with the «I like meat and meat and cheese» sandwich crowd.
Overall, the place is OK. We’ve eaten in-​restaurant and the staff then was really friendly and nice though the restaurant was a bit dark and cluttered. Still, after a recent and disappointing interaction with staff over the phone and a botched order for pick-​up I think we’ll stick to ordering in restaurant for now.

When I hunger for a sub this is the place for me! Their toasted italian Big One is my favorite! I have tried several others with no disappointment.

This place is on my list of top 3 fav sub shops. Its close to home, and they are always nice and greet you when you walk in.
Place is always clean and neat. Sometimes it can be a little chilly, so I make sure to have a little sweater with me if i eat inside. They do not have delivery, but you can get it to go or call ahead for take out.
They have kiddos menu, and I love that feature — they offer both hot and cold little subs for the kids with a cookie, chips and a drink. Perfect for kids or if you have a small appetite.
They offer a variety of hot and cold subs, huge variety of toppings. I have never had a bad sub there. Its our ‘go to’ place with the kiddos on the weekends for lunch.

The highlight? It’s like subway, only done right. No nasty, hard sub bread… it actually tastes like it hasn’t set out for a week or two. Seriously subway, I could fight off a mugger with your turkey sub! Larry’s bread is soft, yet done in the right spots. Everything always seems fresh, and the staff has always been friendly and very knowledgable. In trying to find healthier alternatives, one particular employee went over all of the menu options and offered his recommendations. It was incredibly helpful! The only downside is the location. Aside from the location itself not being ideal, the restaurant itself could definitely use an update. If nothing else, at least stick King Kong in there somewhere please

Very good sub’s. A little more expensive than some places but you get what you pay for.

The best subs in Summerville! They also have gluten free bread. The salads are delicious as well.

Great sandwich shop! I love Larry’s! The location could use something… something to liven it up a bit. It seems like the Larry’s locations I have been to have been on a semi-​off-​beaten path and could use some upkeep. This one is clean on the inside, and they were blaring some Zeppelin (POINTS!), and the service was quick, friendly, and on their game, but the scene was just kind of bland overall. Plus, no gigantic King Kong…
