From seeing the positive reviews on Unilocal,I was expecting some pretty delicious tacos… But in reality the carnitas and barbacoa tacos were both disapointing. The carnitas was dry and seriously lacking flavor and seasoning. The barbacoa was tender, but fell short with seasoning and depth of flavor. Even with a squeeze of lime and the classic onion and cilantro… my taste buds were just not thrilled. Maybe it was an off day, but I can’t say I would stop here again.

Omg best tacos ever. Beats the Mexi taco trucks in Seattle by far. Go here if you’re en route from the east back to seatown. You won’t be disappointed. The fiancé and I each got three tacos: asada, barbacoa, and the adobada. The meat is juicy, tender, suuuuper flavorful. Simply served with radish, cabbage, cilantro and lime. $ 1.50 each. They don’t speak English, but the food speaks for itself.

This place hits the spot when I’m starving. Delicious fat pork burrito. Tastes great on it’s own but the three hot sauces offered are freaking amazing if you like heat. They are super friendly. You can get it to go but you will eat it all immediately.

Simple menu but solid. Asada, adobada, cabeza, lengua, tripa, barbacoa, al pastor, birria, and carnitas. Try tacos, tortas, or burrito you won’t be disappointed.

Highly recommend for authentic cheap delicious tacos and burritos. Choose from tongue, brain, barbacoa, adobada, asadas or carnitas; you’ll love them all. Kick up the flavor with their sides of very spicy tomatillo and salsa verde

Delicious delicious delicious! Get a big fat burrito and feast on! Note: the sauce they give you on the side is super duper spicy, so either skip it or get a huge bottle of water.

Stopped here on our way to walla walla. The tacos were great. Had the barbacoa and loved them. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping and trying.

Wow — the most amazing $ 2.50 meal I’ve ever had. Would have been great at twice the price. Particularly enjoyed the barbacoa — nice chunks of meat, fresh cilantro/onion/lime and flavorful, chewy corn tortillas. Sauce was spicy — a little goes a long way.(Disclaimer: I am 100% gringo) They are small tacos. 2 worked as a light dinner after a late lunch, but otherwise I’d probably get 4 – 5. As I was waiting someone drove up and ordered«tres lengua». He seemed like he knew the place. Never eaten tongue before but might just go back before the night is over. UPDATE: Went back for the tongue. Delicious!

Ended up stopping here on a pseudo-date. Sunnyside was surprisingly dead on a summer weekend night, and we were having issues finding a place to get a snack and hang out. We were in Sunnyside, and as we drove down the Yakima Valley Highway, we were deluged with taqueria options. We drove a few passes along the highway, and ultimately stopped off at El Mejor Taqueria(aka known as «The Best Taqueria»). Situated on the highway, and in the parking lot of another business is El Mejor. Right across the street was Snipes Mountain Brewery( ), but they were closed. For later, something perfect would be to sneak some tacos over to Snipe’s patio and have a few beers: making a mental note for next summer! My girlfriend and I approached the truck, and I let her do all the talking — obviously because I’m a non-Spanish-speaking gringo! I love hearing people speaking their language and smiling. The cook was low key, and had a smile as he took our order. She ordered a non-meat item and I ordered a few different meat tacos. A first for me was the Mexican candy which laid before us. There were rows of different and funky looking candies. It all looked interesting and scary — -scary, because I had no idea what I was looking at. But as I mentioned I was more than excellent with my company — she picked out a few items. Clearly the winner for the night was the«Rollo Coco». This coconut candy was the bomb! And I still snag some whenever I see ‘em. As we waited for our food, we watched lots of cars, vans, and people on bicycles pull up for orders. This place was definitely hoppin’ — this is always a good sign, no? The tacos were definitely tasty. The meat was seasoned well, and the salsa was also great. Later while we were eating, mi chiquita talked about how she could tell the cook was probably from a the country in Mexico. He had that kind, polite, & quiet demeanor. Well, I also have to say: I like me some country cookin’! We really are lucky to have taco jewels like this in eastern Washington.
