I’ve been eating here for years. It’s consistently been the best Chinese food in Sunnyside. Yes, they’re not perfect, but their food is on point most of the time. The basic foods are prepared well: white and brown rice is well made, the Lo Mein is good, and I’m a big fan of the various egg and shrimp rolls.
It is a very nice, family run restaurant.

Consistently excellent, always fresh & quick delivery. Sesame chicken, sweet & sour pork, oh the pork fried rice!!! Never greasy, or heavily drenched in sauce. My go to place!

I ignored the buzzing flies and generally unsanitary conditions. I ordered Hunan pork and got no flavor. Not a bang. Not a pop. Not even a whimper.
Proof that rents are cheaper off the main strip.

It’s my go-​to Chinese food spot in Sunnyside. I like it better than the others I’ve tried. Pretty typical menu. I love the fried pork dumplings! I can’t get enough of them.

I gave Wah Yeung another chance and it was a mistake. I just received an order with Cold Sesame sauce all over the bag (by the way, the Cold Sesame Noodles are hot). The container was overfilled and not properly closed. It was also completely dented and crushed at some point during delivery. I now have sauce all over my other items and kitchen counter.
If you don’t care that you are delivering food to your customers with soup and sauce all over the place then I don’t care to give you any more business. I suggest others to do the same.
There are so many Chinese take out places in the neighborhood… act like you care a little bit.

This is the best Chinese food in Sunnyside. I would have given it four stars, but they are not always consistent. Sometimes the wonton soup is fabulous; other times it can be fatty. Same with the rice — sometimes it is over salted, other times is fine. I have enjoyed their sesame and sweet and sour chicken. The egg rolls are decent — I’ve had better and worse. I was not happy with their BBQ ribs. I think I’ll stick with the chicken. My boyfriend likes their General Tso chicken. A friend of mine enjoyed the shrimp with lobster sauce. So far, I’m staying with this place until I find something better.

Even by «cheap Chinese take-​out» standards, it’s not very good… relatively speaking, at least.
The lo mein was way too salty, to the point where I actually considered not finishing it – and it takes A LOT for me to not finish food.
On the other hand, the beef with broccoli was incredibly bland; as was the hot and sour soup.
Definitely wouldn’t be my first choice in the area, despite the convenient location.

This is the best Chinese I’ve had in Sunnyside. Their chicken is real white meat, not the fatty pressed stuff. I’ve had good cashew chicken and garlic chicken with mixed vegetables. Their chow fun was just ok. I think these are the only dishes I’ve ordered so far, but since both the other Chinese places in the neighborhood that I had been ordering from were using the faux chicken, I was happy to discover that Wah Yeung is not!

I haven’t found great chinese take-​out in Sunnyside, but this is definitely my favorite place.
Their hot and sour soup is outstanding.
I tend to go for tofu. Tofu with broccoli, general tsao’s tofu, kung pao tofu are all solid.
Sorry this is kind of a crap review. I can’t comment on their meat dishes. In general, the meat choices I’ve tasted in Sunnyside Chinese have been so bad that I’ve given up on it.

This is our go-​to takeout place. We always get some combination of the following items when ordering: Sesame chicken, chicken nuggets, lo mein, wonton soup, egg rolls (hangovers love Wah Yeung!), and it’s consistently $ 12ish for more food than we know what to do with that is piping hot, fresh and tasty. Not the best Chinese food I’ve had but definitely my favorite in the hood.

It is hard to find a good Chinese Take-​Away in Western Queens, but this is the closest I’ve found.
What puts Wah Yeung above the rest is that they have Cantonese style Wontons as an option, rather than the thick doughy wontons one usually gets. Their Sesame Chicken also was not saccharine sweet which I really appreciated. We also had their Chicken and Eggplant with Garlic Sauce… it was a little bland, but we LOVE garlic, so others may have found it just right.
