Just by the outside I was turned off. I seriously thought they were closed by the look of the landscape and outside of the building. The food was as good as the outside looked.

Came here for a team lunch with ten people. They brought out the food for eight of the people at the same time, then the other two did not get their food for roughly 15 minutes. When I got up to ask about it, the server brushed me off saying«I know» and basically ignored me. So weird, unprofessional.

bad lamb shank, not much flavor inside, hard to cut and bite. order was messed up for our group and some among us had to wait for a long time.

Just because of their service, they forgot to bring some of the ordered dishes as well as wine until we finished our lunch.

As others have stated, this place has been gradually changing since the ownership change. It’s still probably the best greek place in the area, but not as good as it used to be. There is a noticeable cutback on the way popular dishes like the gyro plate are served and the fries are not always hot, but the customer service is the more noticeable change. Before the ownership change, within 30 – 60 seconds of sitting at a table, a basket of bread and hummus would arrive. At that time, with the generous serving of pita that came with the gyro plate, it almost seemed redundant unless they were really crowded and the plates took a while to come out. Now, the pita on the gyro plate is down to 2 or 3 small triangles, which are generally lost underneath the salad and/or meat. Nobody is coming around with bread baskets. If you go track down a waiter, you will eventually get some bread to go with your gyro plate.

Pretty good. Not the best Greek food in the South Bay, but if you’re in the area, it’s worth a try. I always get their gyros and garlic fries.

My wife and I love coming here for lunch and family get-togethers — so much so that we decided to have our rehearsal dinner here. We met with Burak, the owner, to plan out the event and he was very friendly and more than accommodating. He gave us a really good deal and overall just seemed happy to have his establishment be a part of our weekend-long celebration. We couldn’t be happier with how things turned out. We had a whole wing of the restaurant to ourselves, prepped with tablecloths and the works. The service was excellent and the food was simply amazing. Victor, the host for the evening, was exceptional and he made sure everything was to our taste. Overall, the night went off without a hitch and helped set the tone for the rest of the weekend. Much thanks to Burak, Victor, the Chefs, and the rest of the staff for a wonderful evening.

Please don’t continuously be surprised by your customers telling you that your dishes are not the same. Lots of people have been telling you the same thing. If you don’t accept that, how can you improve the dishes? Talk is cheap. Show us some good food. I’ll be back.(and expect improved food) Since I like the previous dishes so much, I want to give you a clear example on how you have gone down hill. Take the Greek food 101, Hummus, as an example. It used to taste delicious. It ***was*** the best in town. But you took away the spices and ingredients that make Hummus delicious. Now it tastes just like mashed Garbanzo beans with no taste. Just want to be clear. It is not just the Hummus that has gone down the hill. Everything else has been going the same direction as well. The quality of meat is simply poor. I understand that you want to cut cost as a business. But if you don’t have customers, there would be no costs to cut anyway.

New owners 2016 and gone down fast. Food is poor quality food. Used to love, love this place. No more meat Dolma’s I had the Mussaka and almost no meat in it all. My hubby had the beef meatballs and texture was awful. They replaced it with some chicken and that was even bad. I hope the previous owner reads this and comes back to save this place.

:( Sad day, everyone. They mucked with my #1 dish. At least at lunch, the gyro plate is smaller and now doesn’t come with pita beneath it or tomato and onion on top. And the asteria salad is missing all the awesome olives and feta cheese it used to have. Pita didn’t come with the complimentary hummus either. Just french bread. I’m hoping other dishes weren’t scuttled. I don’t think I’ll be coming back again. That doesn’t mean I’d steer you away outright. Give it a shot. It just stinks to lose your favorite dish. Adding a picture so you can see the difference between it and my previous photo.

Came here with a good friend for lunch. Very generous with their food little salty on the meat though. But overall good experience. They are your average Mediterranean/Greek restaurants. Price: average Quality: OK Service: could be faster

A Greek place but doesn’t have meat that suits the needs of Muslims and Jews. The 2 occasions I have eaten there, I have had bad stomach cramps and food– poisoning symptoms. Now I steer clear from this place even though it is close to work and huge.

Pair a Senior Monday afternoon first run movie at Cinemark Shoreline for only $ 7 and an early dinner at the Asteria Grill. It’s a winning combination for budget minded seniors that’ s hard to beat. Appetizers are filling as a meal(dolmades, spanakopita around $ 9). That’s dinner and a movie for around $ 18 with tip. AFTER the movie head over to the Asteria Grill, EZ access off of Hiway 237 S. Menu prices are LOWER on the dinner menu(5 – 9PM) than the lunch menu. During dinner hours you’ll have a waiter, Instead of you ordering at a counter and waiting for your frisbee to light up to pick up your own food.(Can be awkward balancing food and yourself back to the table). You’ll have the place to yourself to savor the fresh and artfully prepared, Greek comfort food prepared by Corden Bleu — trained chef Ernesto Cardenas(who honed his skills in the City). We love the renovated interior with maroon wainscoting, warm amber walls, modern black tables, a few padded booths and a clean, spacious women’s restroom that was designed into the décor instead of an afterthought. Plenty of parking. No stairs to maneuver. Great place to take your club for dinner. The menu descriptions are mouth watering The entrée’ that two of my friends loved was lamb souvlaki(succulent grilled, skewered lamb sirloin marinated with Greek herbs, lemon and garlic with garlic fries and dipping sauce). The house red and white wines are decent. There is lots of variety on the menu and organic and vegetarian tastes are covered. Haven’t been there in a while? New ownership in late 2014 has made the Asteria Grill what you hoped it would be.

Cute Greek restaurant with tasty food and nice ambience. The mousaká(layers of ground sirloin, eggplant, zucchini, potatoes topped w/bechamel sauce & oven baked) was phenomenal; each layer was equally flavorful, making the overall dish rich and delightful. The pita or hummus weren’t particularly memorable. The baklava is decent too, although a little on the heavy side. Service is quite good as well; although my waiter mistakenly gave me the incorrect dish at first, he quickly realized his mistake and exchanged it without me asking. Highly recommend for both dining alone or with a large group; the interior is quite large and classy. I’ll be back for the mousaká again!

This Greek restaurant is nestled up to the days inn here in Sunnyvale. I ordered take out and arrived early so had a beer… Though they have a bar area no one was working it. Sooooo I drank my beer sitting in the waiting area. Good beer just bad seating. The food was good… Not the best gyro I have ever had but it was still pretty good. I would advise the person playing the food to put the pittas on top of the meat instead of finding it like a toy in a cereal box. The falafel were ever over fried or just had a harder than normal shell. I would not order it again and still have some left in my fridge from the original order 5 days ago… Anyone know the fridge life of falafel? The best part of my meal was the salad… I don’t know if it was a homemade dressing or store bought but it was really good and I would go back here to order just a large salad. And perhaps a beer in the waiting area.

Not as good as i hoped for, but can’t complain since i used a coupon. found a coupon online for a free entrée. ordered a falafal pita wrap with fries abd greek salad. guy with hair combed back was soft spoken and gave me no problems except not telling me cups are by the soda machine(I’m use to cashiers giving you a cup for your drink). the wait wasn’t long so that’s always a plus. — falafel gyro: spinach, tomato, DRY falafels, red onions, lettuce, white sauce and pita wrap. dry dry dry dry! even though they wrapped it with pita, i didn’t like it. — fries: not crunchy, no taste. texture is like in n out, but not in a good way and like cardboard. comes with a purple dip… i thInk it was kalamata olive mayo dip? it’s a little sour. –greek salad: needs more feta, but this one they didn’t screw up. my fav part, sadly. if the staff were ALLGREEK, maybe another star. inside is a nice place for a date. I’ve read athena is very tasty, but haven’t tried it yet. falafel corner is my fav place for falafel, but they’re more mediterranean than greek. the portions were pretty big, but I’m looking for quality and taste over portion. overall disappointed since I’ve wanted to try this place for a long time. i think if i went before the change in ownership, I’d like it. :(

Came here for a weekday lunch, and it was packed! Order at front with cashier like Panera Bread style, and they quickly bring food to your table . I ordered the lamb gyro pita with fries for ~ $ 10. The gyro was really large and tasty, but I did not like it as much as my usual Greek spot, Mikonos Grill in Milpitas. Mainly since there wasn’t any sauce so it was a little more dry than I like. The fries portion was really generous! I was not able to finish it. The fries were well seasoned and came with a sweet olive dipping sauce. I didn’t really enjoy the dip and preferred to just use ketchup . Service was really fast, and dine-in came with FREEHUMMUSANDPITABREAD !!! Love free bread !!! So happy about that hehe.

Under new management as of Summer 2015. Had the pleasure of meeting one of the new owners, Brock, the other day. He was very nice and is very sincere about taking the reigns of this great location and great fast-casual Greek food. The new owners have added a bit of flare to the décor, and they are trying to maximize the potential this place has with its spacious interior and prime location. The food was still great and the menu is the same with a few small tweaks. Very impressed with what they are doing here and I hope they continue to improve.

Hopefully the owner reads this. You’ve lost some regular(like 3 times a month at least) customers. We less than 10 mins away… so we have been here numerous times. First off, the last several times we’ve gotten carry out. EVERYTIME the guy that answers the phone(it’s been Victor several times) is a jerk. Really short with you, talks extremely fast. Just generally doesn’t give a hoot. The guy that took my order tonight, Victor, is a jerk. He rushes me off the phone. Order was SIMPLE. One beef and lamb gyro, 2 chicken with no tzatziki sauce. All 3 with fries. We’ve gotten it several times before. Victor blurts out«10 minutes» and hangs up. NO order review. NO goodbye. Nothing. Husband shows up in 10 minutes. And surprise surprise has to wait another 10 or 15. Husband goes over to pick up the order and they have«questions».THISHASHAPPENEDTOMESEVERALTIMESBEFORE! Husband gets back home. Only 2 gyros. He calls them up. A girl answers the phone. She’s barely anymore polite than Victor. Husband says«we’re missing an gyro.» she literally says«OK.» That’s it. Seriously WTF?! He then points out that Victor said 10 minutes and he had to wait extra and that this has been a problem in the past. She again just says«OK.» Husband’s gyro had no tzatziki sauce. NO offer to fix anything. NO nothing. So I’m sitting here with no gyro for myself. All because Victor’s EGO was CLOGGINGHISEAR when I gave him my order on the phone. This is has been our last visit. Our cat Waffles has something she’d like to say to Victor and Rude Girl. Just another issue from the past. Before we got french fries with black spots. Dude stop using crappy old potatoes for your fries.
