They use to be very good when it was VALERIOS bakery(when my brothers friend’s family owned the place.) the turon though is good but its sometimes too sweet

The existence of this bakery means I don’t have to drive very far for some filipino treats. With that said, I love that they have wheat pan de sal! It makes me feel like I’m doing something tiny small for my health without having to give up those tasty little rolls. I’m also a fan of the pan de ube, and various incarnations of ensaymada. Oh yeah, also randomly showed up one day with my mom and ended up meeting Sarah Geronimo. lol

Excellent Filipino bakery! Customer service is okay, but could use help. They have everything and less pricey compared to Goldilocks… also better and more traditional tasty Filipino bakery products. AND the turon, OMG, mmmmmmm, the turon is sooo good, but you gotta get there early — they make ‘em fresh and they sell out fast. Forget Goldilocks, go here instead! Or maybe I should just keep my mouth shut so it’ll be a nice secret in Sunnyvale.

This place accepts credit cards if your total purchase is over $ 10. I’m SO happy this place exists because: 1. their pan de sal is SO cheap. 2. the ladies work hard. 3. they have TURON(deep fried banana, eggrole style) 4. they have other kinds of bread but don’t be disappointed if they don’t have variety Anyway two thumbs up(I mean five thumbs up) for supporting the local Filipino businesses! *peace*

This establisment has changed names a few times now and as far as my taste buds can recall, their buns are better tasting now. Located in a strip mall in the middle of nowehere in Sunnyvale, Daddy Dough is like a little bakeshop that serves Pinoy pastries and baked goods. They do have a kick-ass pan de ube(purple yam-filled buns) and Asado siopao. A quality bakeshop, for me is one where there has NEVER been a time where I would smell or find molds in their goods(oh yes, this has happened before and I bit into a moldy side too… eeeew). So far, Daddy’s dough has never been moldy! Yay! The staff is friendly and service is quick. Price is affordable too. I wish they made more Spanish bread though. Sometimes, however, their quality isn’t consistent. SOmetimes their breads are very tasty and so so sofffft, sometimes it’s as dry as your grandmother’s punani. LOL. …and I don’t like that. There are times, too, where their shelves are almost empty… that’s not a very enticing scene for me. So for inconsistency in quality, I cannot be a total fan of Daddy Dough. Parking here is pretty easy except for lunch hour… so drop by before 12 and after 1 pm.

I came here once when Chris and I were craving for turon! They have the best Turon i’ve ever tried… with the exception of my yaya’s turon in the Philippines; of course. It’s just the right amount of sweetness, and it’s not thickly wrapped with wrapper! There’s banana and langka… and it’s oh sooo yummmmy! Daddy Dough also has turon party trays. I’ve called in a day before to order turon for a work potluck. The lady was kind enough to even give me some extras. It’s definitely a hit at work too! even non filipino co-workers of mine, could not stop munching on them!

Why am I fan even though I did not purchase anything? It was the manong sitting in the metal newspaper rack outside the store. After going to TGI Sushi with my Ate Judi M, she suggested Daddy Dough for the turon. As we walked towards the doors I noticed something to the left and I looked. I whispered, «Ate Didith, look at manong on the newspaper rack!» She looked at me and was like, «Whaat?!» then she saw. We LOLd. I guess you had to be there, but it was such a typically Filipino thing that we had to laugh. I was a bit overwhelmed by the store in general, even though it wasn’t a big place. It was just… so much bread and sweets to choose from! I also made the mistake of going here on a full stomach. They had a good selection and I loved the smell of the bakery. I can’t wait to come back.

I’ve never been to the Bakeshoppe but omG(that’s «o», «m», capital«G») I was introduced to their peanuts today and I have fallen in love with salty nuts once again. The little labe afixed on a small plastic container reads«Peanuts»… far from… Try heavenly, lovely, perfectly salted, roasted with fried garlic, delicious, orgasmic peanuts. Or just simple Peanuts Orgasmica!!! But honestly, try their nuts and you will open your mouth even wider to shove these puppies in them. Sold in the 831(Monterey) at the Filipino Indian Supermarket on Fremont St.

I went here the other day at like 6:30pm because I had a major craving for turon, I hate to say it but I was super disappointed. The lady who helped me was a very nice super sweet woman but the banana in the turon tasted old and dried out. I have had turon before and I couldn’t stop eating it so I was excited that I could come here and get 6 pieces for $ 3 but the taste just didn’t do it for me. Also, it tasted way worse the next day. We also bought some pan de something lol I can’t remember the name but it’s the one with cream cheese and red pepper inside, personally I didn’t really like it, it was just OK, but my mom and her coworkers thought it was really good.

I had the most interesting of experiences when I tried to call-in an order for turon(banana lumpia) that only a child of an immigrant would appreciate. The conversation went like this: Me: Hi, I’d like to order two dozen turon for tomorrow Daddy Dough Employee(DDE): Ha? Me: I’d like two dozen turon for tomorrow at 11:30 DDE(slightly pissed): 24 pieces?! Me: Yes, please. DDE: OK. Me: Sounds great, do you need my name? DDE(all in Tagalog): No, just tell them my name. Teresa. –end scene– Needless to say, this was a great story that elicited many laughs from my friends. Two dozen turon picked-up at 11:30 the next day only cost me $ 15. They weren’t all covered in caramel from the sugar that leaked out during the frying process, and were a lot easier to handle. Not a bad deal for the time saved from having to wrap these bad boys up and having your entire house smell like frying oil.

We stopped by here after eating at TGI’s Sushi. We decided to walk in on a whim and were pleasantly surprised by our find! I personally have never had Filipino food so I didn’t recognize the ethnicity of the food until the s.o. told me. After browsing their breads, we settled on getting the pan de munngo(red bean bread). We weren’t disappointed at all! After the heavy meal we had, the bread wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet. The bread had its own nice carb-y sweetness. The red bean though, I would have liked to be a little more moist. It was on the dry side, but thankfully the bread was more than enough to make up for it. Will be coming back to try their pineapple bread! nom nom nom.

This is a sweet find for pastry lovers. There aren’t many Filipino bakeries and this one a good variety of breads and sweet treats, such as Haba-Haba Ube, Hawaiian Twist, Ensaymada Special and Quick Melt buns. Whether you have a sweet tooth or not, there is bound to be a bread or pastry that you’ll enjoy. Parking is ample in the strip mall lot. Moreover, the service is friendly and prompt for grabbing something quick and on the go.

The pineapple bread is pretty damn tasty. Not sure why I never set foot in here. Actually I never did for the Mexican bakery before either. Well consider me a convert for tasty Filipino desserts!

Dropped in here after a less-than-satisfying lunch at a nearby restaurant. A nice filipino bakery with a bewildering assortment of bread products and cakes. I had to spend 3 minutes reading all the tags on the shelves and ask one of the nice ladies a few questions before I knew what to get. I made it out with a(prepacked) bag of 5 Pan de Coco(aka coconut buns) for $ 2.25. At the office, I passed them out like the candy I thought they would be, and the consensus is: yum. Not too sweet, packed with coconut, relatively large, and definitely cheap. A great treat.

I love this place ! My sister and I are so glad to fine a really great filipino bakery, Daddy Dough(the name reminds me of a friends old boyfriend) is the place. They sell fresh and sometimes still hot pan de sals and bibingka. My one friend said their bibingka was better than his filipino mother inlaws(sorry Mrs Reyes Rodney’s the one that said it). The beef or chicken empanadas only $ 1.49 each ‚ taron 60 cent each are wonderful. A bag full of warm pan de sals $ 1.99 wow this sure isn’t(Goldylocks). Great friendly service all the time Nak!

I’d give this place 4 stars, if it weren’t for an unfortunate recent experience. Only recently did we discover this bakery. We had been content going to Sisters on El Camino, but their hours were always difficult to manage for us. We sampled several of Daddy Dough’s baked goods on our first visit, and we were delighted with the offerings. We have since returned several times whenever we needed an ube or empanada fix. Because we had enjoyed our food, we decided to bring some pan de ube to my daughter’s preschool, where I was going to be talking to them about the Filipino Christmas traditions. Yes, I know that pan de ube isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks about Christmas, but I had to find something that was sufficiently hypoallergenic and culturally benign for the diverse student population(i.e. need to avoid peanuts and eggs because of allergies, no meat because of the vegetarians). Because we were picking up the bread in the evening, we called in advance to make sure they had enough. When we showed up, we were pleased to find that they had set aside the quantity we needed. We picked up another bag off the shelf for ourselves. We didn’t closely inspect the food, because we trusted that it would be fine. Bad decision. The next day, as we prepared to serve the bread to the kids, we discovered about half of the buns were overcooked and dry. We were embarrassed, but the kids didn’t seem to mind. We discarded about 2 bags’ worth because they were barely edible. We went home and checked our own bag(the one off the shelf) and found that it was perfectly fine. I went back the next day and looked at all the bags on the shelf. None of them were as dark and dry-appearing as the ones that we served to the kids. I have to believe that the bakery owners set aside the less desirable buns, knowing that they couldn’t sell them right off the shelf. Yes, we were foolish to trust them, and we should have checked the product prior to leaving, but we did trust them. Never again. The really unfortunate thing is that by selling us the substandard buns, Daddy Dough actually did themselves a disservice. The teachers at the school(about 15 of them) plus the families of the children(about 50) are now less likely to patronize this bakery. Furthermore, we had started to ship baked goods to my parents, who live far from the nearest Filipino bakery, every two weeks. I had been sending $ 30-$ 40 worth of stuff for the last couple months. I think we’ll go back to Sisters for a little bit. Make no mistake, however, their food is generally good. That’s why I didn’t give them a 1-star rating.

Great prices, great service, and these nice ladies saved my ass on Thanksgiving day. =) I’ve tried a good bunch of their bread offerings(pandesal, etc.) and will be back to try other items!
