This daycare appears to be great when you first visit. The staff is polite and they make you think your child will be well taken care of. We had quite a few run-ins before we decided to remove our daughter from this daycare. The first thing that bothered us is that our daughter got sick after being there for one day. We knew she would get sick, but we didn’t expect her to have two ear infections and having to use three different antibiotics before she got better. The thing that really got us was that when we picked her up there was a kid there with yellow snot hanging out of his nose. Their newborn policy states if your child has a runny nose they can’t stay at the daycare. I guess they bent the rules for that child on that day. Our daughter had diarrhea one day, with six dirty diapers, and no one called us. Another rule in their newborn policy that they didn’t follow. I would have gladly left work to take care of my sick child. They are also supposed to check diapers every hour, but our daughter came home several times with dried poop on her. My mother usually picked our daughter up and witnessed the care giver squeezing the front of the diaper to see if it was wet and not looking in the diaper to see if there was poop. In their policy they say they provide their own bibs so you can’t bring your own, but on several occasions our daughter came home with baby food stains all over her shirt in areas that a bib covers. They made the statement several times that our daughter spilled milk on herself and got her clothes wet, but our daughter was only six months at the time and wasn’t holding a bottle on her own very well. In order for her clothes to get as wet as they were they weren’t checking on her for long periods of time. My husband and I paid our weekly fee in advance, but for the people that didn’t pay on time they posted the dues on the door for everyone to see, which in my opinion is embarrassing and illegal. It goes against the fair debt collection practices act. The final thing that made us withdraw our daughter the same day was my mother going to pick her up on a warm day, so they had the door propped open. The caregiver didn’t hear my mother enter the room and she was forcefully pushing the bouncer seat that our daughter was in with her foot and yelling for her to hush. My mother heard our daughter crying well before she entered the class room. I left work early that day to go to the daycare and talk to one of the directors. When I walked in the classroom to collect our daughter’s items the caregiver kept apologizing, saying she was sorry. The director didn’t even try to keep us there, she just wrote a check for the amount we paid in advance to them. For the life of me, I can’t understand why they would let the child care worker stay in the room after what was reported. I would think she would at least be sent home, but they didn’t do anything but say they would investigate the situation. We reported the incident to the Texas Abuse line and they reported to the daycare licensing. It’s currently being investigated and should be updated on the website soon. While checking the status it looks like they had another incident reports a month prior to the one we reported in February. Needless to say, I do not recommend this daycare to anyone. Most of the staff seems really nice, but they did not show concern about the safety of the other children in the class after the incident was reported. The sad thing is that there was another child care provider in the classroom that witnessed the whole thing. I also don’t think anything will be done about this because the lady at the licensing agency knows the director and disconnected the call when interviewing my mother about what happened. She never called us back and when I called they couldn’t put me in contact with her.

If you want your child to be treated like cattle, don’t mind being extorted by $ 35 late fees, high teacher turnover, and a management/director who has little to no sympathy or patience for parents and children than this is the place for you! Let’s not forget that this establishment has been cited frequently in the past two years and 26 deficiencies were cited, 14 of which were rated High on severity of the violation. The entire time my autistic son was here, they continually reminded me of the inconvenience it placed on them to accommodate my special needs child. I simply asked them to follow the dietary rules of his no gluten/dairy needs which they continually refused to cooperate with. I left this place disgusted and completely disrespected. Save yourselves the stress and take your kids and money else where!
