he’s semi friendly… he’s one of those people that like has to be right, thinks he knows everything. he was selling me pills at the end which is annoying. he didn’t even check my vaccines and tried giving me a couple i already had! he basically made all these assumptions that i had this disease and that, low on this vitamin and that. but i think overall he’s knowledgable. his staff is bitchy and friendly at the same time, it was a mediocre experience. he did help me and he did see me which i appreciate, i got what i needed and i got organized, eventually he figured out that he should probably ask me for my medical records LOL…
one thing he did that was unacceptable was he basically was speaking very firmly/​rudely/​condiscending that «why aren’t you going to do XYZ treatment». that is not a doctors job. they should say this is the research, this is the diagnosis, here are the options, or here is what is recommended and I really recommend it, but ultimately, IT IS YOUR BODY… or maybe… ask me WHY i feel that way. because there was a valid reason i didn’t want to… i had already taken the vaccine! he was being a jerk «DOES THIS SOUND WORTH IT TO U… THST SOUNDS LIKE A BAD DISEASE… WHY DONT U WANT TO TAKE IT» he just wants to be billed or something. seems disorganized.
i don’t know if i will go back… its just a yearly physical so maybe? its not too hard to get an appointment… I might try another just for other opinons

My primary care physician, Dr. Sims is a gem. He keeps up to date on new research, and while the building in which his office is located won’t suggest it, his office is high-​tech. He’s always got the full chart at his fingertips with a tablet PC he brings to the exam room. He pulls up relevant studies and charts to better illustrate what he’s talking about, and works with the patient to find the optimal plan going forward.
Dr. Sims maintains a list of specialists for referrals, and I have had only great experiences with any single one of the specialists I’ve seen on Dr. Sims’ recommendation.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Sims for nearly 3 years, and he was the first one who paid very close attention to my symptoms, and since being in his care, my well-​being has improved significantly!

Dr Sims is fantastic. I love his approach to patient care. And his staff is very friendly and professional, too.
I switched to Dr Sims as my primary care doctor in late 2014, and have seen him for 4 or 5 visits since then. I’ve had routine check-​ups, a visit for severe jet lag after returning from Asia, and several times for an athletic-​related condition. He did some extra research on my condition, and gave me thorough and very useful advice. I also like the way he incorporates the latest preventative medical technologies into his practice to help stay on top of any emerging conditions (e.g., carotid ultrasound)
Dr Sims is very caring, he asks good questions, he really listens, and it seems like he and his staff do a great job with his schedule. I’ve never felt rushed, and never had to wait very long either when visiting.

Dr. Sims is an excellent general practitioner. He works with his patients to educate them, enabling a process of informed care. His staff are also very professional and are obviously part of why this office as a whole functions so well.

Dr Sims is awesome. No BS, straight talk that is understandable by an everyday person like myself. And reception has only been great to me, not too sure why the hate there.

I should start by saying that Dr. Sims is completely unique in that he spends a minimum of 40 minutes with you. These days, you are lucky to get 10 minutes with a Family Practicioner.
He is super versed in his job, and is one of those doctors who you just know take the time to read medical journals. He is great at explaining things and he often uses visual aids to give you a better feel about what is being said.
I’m a doctor’s daughter and am incredibly picky about who I go to. He is competent, confident, caring, and thorough. I’m constantly surprised at how much time he spends face-​to-​face with patients. At the end of the visit, you are even given a printout of what was covered in the visit and next steps (if applicable).

Dr. Sims takes care of my whole family. Without him, my cancer would never have been found and treated. He literally saved my life. He is an amazing diagnostician and also stresses the importance of proper nutrition and exercise. He is extremely proactive and knowledgeable. His receptionist may seem unfriendly at first, but once she gets to know you, she can be a tremendous help and very efficient. Dr. Sims consistently provides excellent personalized care.

I have been Dr. Sims’ client since I was a kid. He is very professional & listens to what you have to say before giving you his diagnosis. Very thorough. He takes his time to explain his thinking to you as well. I haven’t had any complaints about his knowledge whatsoever.
Yes, one of the nurses/​receptionists is not so friendly. It doesn’t really bother me anyways. She knows me & we don’t make trouble for one another.
If you don’t mind that one tiny tidbit, this office is pretty good for all your medical concerns for a family physician!

Had this doctor many years ago, he was the worst I’d ever had.
He ran some unreliable TB skin test on me which tested positive and was going to make me take extremely harmful medications for 9 months. I was highly skeptical and sought second opinions. We ran more reliable tests at PAMF and tested negative.
Extremely rude nurse too. He and his staff scared my whole family away from being his patients.

This is my second visit here and I have to admit I was wary of the receptionist after reading other reviews. I can say that the experience was just as great as the first time. The receptionist I dealt with (not sure if it’s the one everyone else complains about) was extremely friendly and the doctor really made me feel comfortable. Dr. sims is extremely thorough and knows his profession. I don’t usually write reviews but I felt compelled to post this one. Thanks, from a very satisfied patient.

ZERO stars. This office does not work around your schedule. You need to work around THIER schedule. Show up for your appointment and the doctor is MIA… They couldn’t even give me prior notice that the Dr. Sims was a no show… Then when I need to reschedule — they don’t have any appointments available for the next 3 weeks. I don’t know why they refuse to book an appointment for me … I pay for medical insurance through my job (I’m not on Obama care). Maybe they don’t like my insurance carrier? It’s ridiculous that they are booked almost a month in advance and refuse to work with me on rescheduling after the doctor flaked on his appointment with me. How unprofessional! ZERO stars!

I have been going to Dr. Sims for about 10 years now, and so has my whole family. I can’t give the man anything but glowing reviews. He is so holistic and up to date on everything new in healthcare it amazes me. He really does his homework! What’s best is that he really takes time to listen to you, and genuinely cares about what you have to say. He has always explained things to me in detail to help me make the best medical decisions. I’ve struggled with all kinds of health issues and he has been a Godsend every time. Okay, so maybe the receptionist doesn’t have the greatest bedside manner, but she is very efficient and on top of things. I am very grateful to have him fort my doctor and absolutely recommend him to my friends.

HORRIBLE AND IMEEN HORRIBLE RECEPTIONIST! they are so rude and inconsiderate. I got in early for an appointment and they said «why are you here so early? you should go run some errands or something we can take you yet»
if i call on the phone all they want to do is get of as fast as they can with out answering all my questions and hangup. thats just the starting point. i could go on for a long time about the unprofessional service that they give

Dr. Sims has been my family doctor for over 10years. I have seen many doctors over the years and he is by far the BEST. He is very up to date with his medical knowledge and I feel he is very meticulous with details when it comes to my health. He really cares about you, he listens, and he is extremely competent. Its hard to find a doctor like that. His staff is also very GOOD. I don’t know why there are some negative comments on his office staff. Maybe those are staff that no longer working there. Besides, you are there to see Dr. Sims not his staff.

The worst experience.
No proper response for the questions asked.
When asked for steps to take care incase of illness, no answers.
Not even my single question answered.

Dr. Sims has been a great doctor for me for about the past year and a half, where I have gone to him with various health concerns. He listens VERY well and it always thinking out side the box to see what can be wrong. I have called him telling him I need to come in and he has gotten me in that afternoon. He is also available via phone with any questions or concerns I might have. I would highly recommend Dr. Sims.

This review is for Dr Sim’s receptionist. I have arrived 5 mins later than appointment time. I was confused about the Building they were in and called up to find directions. She told me not to worry and Actually you know what Doctor has to attend a meeting and you are also late. So you need to reschedule the appointment. Why the hell didn’t you tell you tell me in advance that he cannot see me due to Meeting and why pretend that its because of my late arrival? Was he planning to see me for 10 mins?
BTW you can get appointment only 2 weeks early. There are other good doctors who spend quality time with you to understand your illness.

Dr Sims is an outstanding doctor! Very compassionate, willing to hear and spends time understanding the problem I go with. I have been visiting since 4 years now and doctor has advised very well be it routine health, regular fevers or referrals. I am very thankful to have Dr. Sims as my doctor in need and doctor for everything.

Appointment making — simple, easy, efficient, and friendly
Reception — wow, quite comforting. The staff K and S were excellent, treated me with respect, smile, and quite effective. (other offices may treat you patient very difficent)
The rooms — clean, smell good, instructional material helpful.
the Doctor:
Polite, instructive, well informed, listen as much as he talks, patient and interactive.
He treat you like a person, not a patient. I can go on, but all together, excellent.

I have had consistently negative experiences with the receptionist at Dr. Sims office. Dr. Sims himself is a fine doctor and has interesting insights about nutrition and general health practices, however his main receptionist is harsh, rude, and short with patients. I have found a new doctor to avoid having to interact with her.
