It’s a great little theater for live performances that I’m told has been around about a hundred years. It only holds a couple hundred patrons and eclectic is the word that springs to mind concerning its offerings. It’s mostly music these days, and I usually try to make the annual performance of Los Pinguos, in the spring, which is an Argentinian(originally) band that’s really been popular with my Spanish students over the years, and developed something of a local fan base. Personally I’d like to see SCT offer more plays and include more home grown musicians. But they do get some really good performers there sometimes and it has an attached wine bar or some such, though that has been unreliable in my experience.
