Brought mom in again. Wait staff were awesome, again. Mom told me to write this re-review. The scotch glass was a problem; bring a single malt in a tumbler with 1 or 2 large ice cubes, not a tiny little glass with ice machine ice all up in it, watering it down almost immediately. And, an orange slice on my beer? Really? Ask first. Rib eye not good, mom said. Mediocre at best. And expensive. She says it was simply low quality meat. Also, dress the salad. Don’t make me do it with my fork and spoon on the little salad plate — not functional. Bring me salad tongs and a big bowl if I am to dress my own salad. Her potato caused her much consternation. She thinks it was baked long ago and kept in foil. How close is she? Sour cream, butter, and add chives. Use ramekins, not paper. Look, here’s the thing. You’re charging top prices for mostly mistakes. FIXABLE mistakes. I suggest lowering the prices, which will bring in more customers, making you use fresher stuff(I’m thinking about the potato here), and in time, you may be worth the money. Now is not that time.

Top notch comfort food We were passing through and saw The Point’s great reviews so we had dinner here. The menu consists of old standbys, but this is no diner food; everything was perfectly done, with extra touches to make each item excellent. Even the side salad was great, including cranberries and fresh croutons, and the bleu cheese dressing was nicely chunky. My wife had a daily special — a Parmesan-encrusted tenderized chicken breast — and swore we’re going to have to figure out how to make this back at home. My salmon was perfectly done and subtly seasoned. Wish we could come back, but we’re out of state.

Nice view of the lake if you sit at the front of the restaurant. Not too many people there on a weekday morning and the service was still a little slow, which was surprising. Biscuits were a little dry but the gravy was good. Reasonably priced.

Though the look of the place is cute and quaint, in order for me to give a place five stars the food has to be on point. In my opinion, the presentation of the food looked good but the taste was bland. Surely not a favorite of mine, but it was close to the hotel we were staying at.

Beautiful view of foster lake. Cozy place for dinner. The menu had lots of choices and the beer and wine menu was adequate. We split the taco soup and osso bucco. Soup was flavorful and filling. The osso bucco was a bit dry and veggies lacked seasoning. The desserts looked amazing but we did not indulge. All in all not bad. There are not many choices in this area, so would recommend as one of the better ones in this small town. And the views are very nice.

The Point is a very family friendly and has very good omelettes! I don’t recommend their hash browns, but I like their country fries! Next time I go there I should get something else.

Our group of five left happy and stuffed. We all ordered something different and all super satisfied — crab sandwich with fantastic sweet potato fries, halibut fish and chips, burger, french dip and surf clams. Salads were fresh and not the after thought a salad can be. And the clam chowder — excellent! Better than Mo’s which we had just yesterday. Weather was perfect for the patio so we could fully enjoy the lake view. Nice wait staff. Overall, perfect place for a leisurely lunch!

We split the seafood fettuccine with a bottle of Vigonier. It was so rich and decadent. We will be back!

Me and my wife wanted to try something new so we thought we would give it a try and we were extremely pleased with our meal, we both had the BLT sandwich and it was delicious. We had the Marion berry pie for desert and it was good as well but not worth $ 5 bucks a slice. I will go back for sure but this time i want to go on a friday when they have prime rib.

Excellent food. The menu says they have the best BLT, and it’s the truth. Top quality breakfasts, and a large dinner selection. The staff is always friendly.

4.5 stars! Are you kidding me! Tasteless clams, over breaded and oily prawns and cold veggies on the plate. I expected more since it had great reviews. Sorely disappointed.

I gave this restaurant a second chance after a previous bad experience. The service was great and food surprised me. The chicken dumpling soup was delicious and the chicken fettuccine was good too. The place gives me the feel of a diner back East with a lake lodge twist. My precious experience had to do with slow service and a flustered waitress so maybe keep that in mind on a busy summer day. Great views of the lake.

Went on Memorial Weekend and it was a pretty busy. But there was only two waiters at the time and food took a long time. Our waiter was really nice and friendly but felt bad of how busy he was. He even had to help out in the kitchen for a while. Food wasn’t memorable… Just your average place really. Not somewhere I recommend. I would suggest to go past Lebanon and sweet home and just get fast food to fill your hunger.

Excellent food and super friendly service! Some of the best Prime Rib in Oregon and they have a Marion Berry Cobbler to die for. The restaurant overlooks Foster Lake and provides a nice setting for casual upscale dining.

I’ve never had a meal(breakfast, lunch, or dinner) that has disappointed me. Their service is always spot on. My coffee never runs out. The owner is always present and pleasant. I’ve had steak, scallops, biscuits and gravy, Denver omelet, and much more and I will come back time and time again to try even more of their menu. Also, it has an awesome view of Foster Lake!

Stopped here on the way to Corvallis, based on the Unilocal love. I had a very good shrimp Louie salad – sooo happy the lettuce was a nice spring mix w/o frisée, instead of the too typical iceberg. Hubby had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, nice fat slices of quality bacon and tomato. Kid had a little cheese pizza with fries. All that and two Grey Goose bloody Mary’s and a diet coke for $ 41. Obviously a local favorite, great views of the lake across the highway. Definitely recommend.
