Kiddie Academy of Syosset

The BEST thing about Kiddie Academy of Syosset is the location adjacent to the train station so parents can easily drop-​off and pick-​up. Please please explore all options nearby and talk to parents of other children before making a decision.
Many families leave Kiddie Academy of Syosset to go elsewhere (Bright Horizons, Kids by the Bunch, Greentree, etc) for a variety of reasons from their child having gotten physically hurt at Kiddie to filthy, outdated, dirty facilities and/​or lack of academically challenging curriculum. Families who have taken their children elsewhere will likely tell you they regret NOT transferring their children sooner.
Some teachers are diligent and very caring. Management staff is superficial.

The Director here is a joke. When trying to schedule a tour she was rushing me off the phone and didn’t even speak about the curriculum just purely about price, schedule and when my son could start. they claim to be flexible but she told me the days and times that were available and said I didn’t have a choice so not sure what was flexible… Moms I know this location is convenient but it was very clear they don’t care about the kids just the money.

Not clean. Young children are babysat rather than taught. Daily parents Reports are vague and mostly photocopied. Playground-​in middle of LIRR parking lot– is a mess since Hurricane Sandy. Don’t expect pictures to be taken, or individual feedback of your toddler. Handicapped parking used irresponsibly by other parents for drop-​offs and pick ups, even when other spaces available. Teaching their children total disregard for handicapped population. Bottom line: if you need convenience of LIRR for dropping your child at the babysitter, this is for you. If, however, you want a place that will nurture your child and provide you with important feedback on your child’s development, look elsewhere. There are better places in the area, with modern, updated facilities and experienced teaching staff.
