Great Korean spot located in Syosset. Went here for lunch with a co-worker and was easy to get to from office in Plainview. We were greeted by owner/waitress who seated us a promptly came out with an assortment of appetizers. We both ordered the bi Bim bop which came out on a very hot stone. We mixed the egg and stirred it around to cook a bit more. It was very filling and delicious. Would definitely add this place to rotation of where I have lunch.

I have been coming to this restaurant for almost ten years, as the food, service, and location are so amazing. Before my friends and I got our driver’s licenses, we would walk here from our homes because the meals, prices, and staff are absolutely fantastic. I think that good customer service is an integral part of a good dining experience, and the staff here truly impresses me every time. I have never had a bad experience here and I am positive that I never will. I highly recommend this restaurant to others and find myself often suggesting it to friends and coworkers, and I wholeheartedly stand by that recommendation. Even if you have never had Korean cuisine, definitely give this restaurant a try.

Decent authentic Korean food. They didn’t bother us when we sat for 2 hours. Had the soo doong bo; it came with seafood, tofu and a raw egg. Done very well.

I finally was able to test out SuraSang. One word, delicious. Their Banchan is fresh and yummy. Kimchi is homemade. For my first visit, I went with the kimchi stew with Korean sausage, glass noodles and tofu. Out of this world. Next time I want to check out the Seafood soo doo boo. The owners are so friendly and informative, explaining everything on the menu and making great recommendations. Can’t wait to go back. Thanks Timmy. Your awesome.

I had the Malbi which is Korean short ribs. It was delicious as were the table appetizers. Only 2 people in the restaurant yet the waitress was not in the dining room. I had to call to the manager, who remained at the cash register to get me the waitress so that I can order a 2nd glass of tea. Notwithstanding that I can’t complain.

This is about as good as it comes for original home cooked Korean food. Staff is all family. Small place with about 10 tables. Kimchee soup is always on point. We also love the kimchee pancake and fried dumplings. It is a limited menu but Tim is always more then happy to explain all the items. Remember that this is Korean food. Not Japanese or Chinese.

My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine’s Day dinner, and were super impressed! The staff was super sweet and attentive, and Timothy was warm and friendly. The banchan were fresh and delicious! My boyfriend and I shared the dduk appetizer, and it was so good! I had always wanted to try it, and was excited to see it on the menu. I’m pretty sure my bf inhaled half the plate! My hot-stone bibimbap was perfect, and my bf enjoyed the spicy beef soup he ordered. We had a lovely conversation with Timothy after finishing our meal, and left happy, and full of good food. We’ll be going back soon!

Clean and friendly but the food isn’t that special. It takes a long time for your order to be fulfilled.

Absolutely love this place. It’s a family owned restaurant, so if you come enough times, you bet they will be calling you by name and giving you VIP treatment :) wonderful, friendly, and hardworking family. The food is sensational. Upon arriving, you are treated to an assortment of kimchi to munch on while you peruse through their authentic traditional menu items. We always order the bibimbap and traditional Korean pancake. Stellar! We have also had the short beef ribs and glass noodles dish. So good! This is our favorite restaurant in all of Long Island. That says a lot :)

Overall pretty good… Banchan — actually really good and fresh — 4 stars Kalbi Tang — beef was tasty clear light broth — 3 stars (Didn’t get the MSG coma/headache so that’s a good sign.) Fried chicken wing appetizer — the rating killer. I will never order these again. wings were really really tough and chewy, chicken didn’t seem fresh at all and not crispy and sauce was kinda bland and boring.- 1 star

I usually come here for my Korean fix once a week with my coworkers. First time I tried this place I was amazed how authentic the food was, only because you don’t find that many Korean restaurants in Long Island. The owners are really nice people that greet you as soon as you come in. My favorite dish is the Dolsot Bibimbap which is a signature Korean dish that is served in a hot stone bowl mixed with rice, beef, fried egg and vegetables. The meals are always served with delicious side dishes which are an essential part of any Korean meal. They do offer free refills on the them so don’t be afraid to ask! Parking is available in the front and the back of the restaurant. I’m a regular here and I recommend it. Love this place!

Friday nite around 9pm we mozied into an empty SuraSang Korean and were welcomed by the owner and a super friendly waitress. We kibbitzed for awhile and got informed on their history and interestingly enough, the Owner is from Syosset! He helped us out with the menu and made suggestions of his favorite dishes, witch we ordered without hesitation. The food was really good and the Galbi; short ribs, was dynamite! Maybe next time we will go earlier to have other diners there while we party… point of interest, I asked if their ice water was Syosset’s own cause it tasted better than local water. He assured me they had a filtration system and we did 2 pitchers of ice cold water with no after taste! points for that. Remembering that this place is in a rather busy nice strip mall, it really doesnt stand out but if your in the area and in the mood for Korean, its a good choice at a fair price.

I love this place. I always get beef bulgogi which comes with plenty of ban chan, lettuce wraps, rice and sauces. The food is very good. Their service is excellent. The owner and waiter are very friendly. They always give out a dessert yogurt drink for free. They pack everything away for you with takeout as well

Wowow great food and price! I love that this is 30 mins instead of 1 hr to get to Flushing. Kimchi jigae perfectly satisfied my craving for something kimchi based: D The seafood pancakes are chewy and tasty with octopus and shrimp. The jajamyun is loaded with meat!!! :D sauce is bomb! Service was on point friendly and attentive staff can’t wait to come back to try more dishes~

Girlfriend and I just got home from SuraSang. Neither of us are experienced with Korean food, the last being BSD House in Irvine CA about two years ago. We loved the seven little appetizers, although we noted that BSD also served a small fish as part of the appetizer assortment. I ordered a small plate of Korean Fried Chicken which I loved(had I remembered about the included appetizer assortment I never would have ordered the chicken). And we loved the two soup/stew entrees, one with dumplings and one with spicy shredded beef. We had no complaints about the portions and amounts of filling in the soups. The two people who ran the place were very friendly and explained everything for us; what the condiments were, what the different wines were, what the appetizers were, etc. They even gave us a few small containers of «dessert» a sweet orange-flavored milk-shake drink. We’ll be back.

Great Korean food in this small strip mall spot in Syosset. Great stews, bulgogi(you don’t grill your own here) and bibimbap. The complimentary ban chan are really good too and I enjoy the variety of them. Service may be a bit cold at first, return again and again, you’ll be treated like family. Truly a wonderful and different experience in eastern Nassau county.

I really wanted to like this place, but the food disappointed. They gave us 7 different plates of banchan. Most of it was pretty basic, no steamed egg or fish like in Korea town. The dolsot bibimbap was totally lacking beef, maybe a tablespoon of flavorless ground beef total. I did not like the fact that they put a well-done fried egg on top of the dish rather than Sunnyside up or completely raw for that matter. The rice in the dish wasn’t the best either, I prefer when they use purple rice. Ultimately, the dish was very bland. The staff were very friendly! Some of the reviews say that the woman was rude. She was very nice while we were there. I really wish I could give this place more stars, but unfortunately I cannot. This was easily the most disappointing Korean meal that I’ve ever had.
