Dollar General Store

Don’t be mistaken, the 1 stars are because I love the offerings of Dollar General (and I can’t give 0) but this one in particular has such comically bad customer service that I feel like people are going to jump out and say ‘smile, you are on candid camera’. After a lifetime in customer service management I am appalled at what they think passes for even human decency. One comical example is they have their register person stocking the shelves on the other side of the store while the person that refuses to open their register (no matter how long the line gets) stocks the front shelves next to the registers. I have had the person 5 ppl in line in front of me spill something all over the conveyer belt and the MANAGER just walked the line apologizing to everyone for the wait. She didn’t help clean it up, open another of the 2 registers, nothing. just thought we would all feel better about spending the day in line if she said ‘sorry for the wait’. No dollar item is worth the raise in blood pressure to enter this building.
