I LOVETHISPLACE! It takes someone with an iron will and discipline of an ancient eastern mystic to not walk out of there one of everything. Everything is so good. I have had many cakes from there. So, when it came to our own wedding, it was a no brainer where we were getting our cake from. I am actually glad I live a few miles away. If I lived any closer, I would be twice the size I am now. Geddes Bakery is awesome!

«When it’s gotta be good, it’s gotta be Geddes» is the very much appropriate motto of Geddes Bakery, settled on Rt 11 in North Syracuse. Geddes Bakery has been providing the local area with delicious treats and wedding cakes since 1957, and take pride in using only the freshest ingredients. Anytime I’m in North Syracuse, I make it a point to stop at Geddes Bakery. I’ve never had a bad treat from here. Whether you’re looking for fresh breads, sweet pastries or pies, Geddes Bakery has a large selection of delicious goods for everyone. The mini chocolate covered cheesecakes are my absolute favorite. My wife loves their pastachots. Delicious rainbow layer cookies as well. Their staff is always very friendly. They’re prices are more than resonable for a delicious bakery. During the summer, they have fresh ice cream on the other side of the building, and they even have a drive thru! Geddes Bakery is an amazing little Syracuse staple, one of my favorite bakery spots.

I have going to the Geddes Bakery for several years now. I love all their almond paste cookies/pastries. Their half moon cookies are also a treat, especially the chocolate ones. I have enjoyed their apple fritters. They had apple chunks in them. Their blueberry pie is flavorful with a good crust. The cheesecake was okay but nothing to write home about. I grew up in NYC and this one just wasn’t as good. I think their breads are alright but you can get ones at Wegmans that are as tasty. I will say the banana cake is the best I have tasted and the rum cake is to die for.

My wife went there to get some long rolls for sandwiches on a Saturday. The rolls were very stale, in fact calling them«day old» would be doing them a favor. Dry, flavorless and with a rubbery chew to them I think these rolls are about the worst I have ever had. The rolls you get from a gas station sub shop are way better and I don’t think all that much of those! The rolls aren’t cheap either. If you want bread and rolls that whip this bakeries butt, simply go to Wegmans. But, if you want a really great roll or bread, go to Di Lauros. That’s my 2 cents! PS. Did I return the rolls? nah, just not worth the gas. PSS. I know how the guy that got the stale whoopie pie feels, lol.

Great selection. Great service. Tomato Pie is best in the state. A must stop if you like baked goods or bread. Has drive thru window too for added convenience.

What is super friendly woman behind the counter. Very clean welcoming place with lots of showcases full of goodies. I tried the Italian bread which is okay. I also had a whoopie pie that unfortunately was stale and fortunately I didn’t end up eating thus saving myself some calories. My husband liked his baklava. We had the apple pie it was not very sweet which is good and the crust was amazing.

I keep on coming back for their baklava — haven’t found anywhere else that beats it! My kids love picking something out from here as a treat. Their tomato pie is awesome — my kids even like it(haha you’re eating tomatoes)!! They even have a drive thru, but c’mon, the fun is going in and looking at the goodies! So unless, you know exactly what you want, go in! Convenient when I just want the usual and have little kids in the car.

Ok, so maybe He was having a bad day, but when your in the business of pleasing the public, I think you can CHECK the attitude ! Geddes Bakery of North Syracuse, I bought 3 pies for Thanksgiving dessert, Apple was good but the 2 pumpkins were not ! Everyone complained about the flavor, maybe they forgot to add the pumpkin, but they were not good, and they were really dark! They were already boxed so I didn’t get to look at them either! Stopped in on Saturday just to mention the dislike and see if maybe anyone else had the same complaint !! Didn’t even go there to ask for money back, I believe in supporting locally owned small businesses! The guy that took my complaint was extremely rude and boisterous! Very much offended, yelled at me and turned and walked away. I was very nice to him and the 3 workers stood there in amazement at how he treated me. I will never spend another dime in there, Mario“s here we come! Because the 10 people who tried that pie at my table, KNOW10 more people each!

Incredible bakery complete with gelato, a wide range of traditional Greek desserts and American favorites as well. These guys did our wedding cake and it was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend visiting Geddes Bakery.

The staff at Geddes Bakery are the gods of sweets in the Syracuse area. Their windowed selection of treats causes you to concoct creative calorie justifications as you throw on an extra cannoli and cookie to your order. Seriously, everything looks good. The kicker to your gut and wallet? Everything IS good! I am a huge fan of the donuts which melt as you bite into them and coat your mouth with flavor. The tomato pie was the sole reason I became a fan of tomatoes many years ago. The small cookie cakes they have are dense and chewy, and they will even make you a larger custom cake for a very modest price. Stop in and pick up some treats, and pick up some for your friends as well.

Most unprofessional place EVER. If you are looking for a wedding cake go ANYWHERE but here. They will even make it easy for you because they won’t show to your appointment or call you to let you know.

There are so few places to get a good, fresh loaf of bread. Geddes is one of those places. The smell when you walk in the door is enough to make you start drooling. Always fresh bread and fantastical baked goodies. Cannolis absolutely to die for, and they’re less than $ 2 each. The filling is so thick, sweet and wonderful and comes in a variety of flavors. I’m also pretty over the moon about the gelato shop attached to the bakery that is(sadly) only open during the summer. If you’re lucky, you get to see them making the waffle cones right in front of you. Myy daughter loves watching the process. I’ve yet to have one flavor I don’t like, and the portions are surprisingly filling. They let you taste test before you buy too… that’s always a plus :)

A friendly local bakery, fairly good selection of breads, cookies, and pastries, good price /value. Selection and quality is better if you go in the morning. Almond«half moon» cookies — sweet chewy almond paste on the inside and crispy coating covered with almond slices. The raspberry version is good, tart jam balances off sweetness of the cookie. There is also the chocolate dipped, and the«original». Lobster tail — that’s the name used in New York area to describe an American version of the Sfogliatelle. If you can find a freshly made one here, it’s really quite good. Cannolis with different fillings. I only eat the ricotta version and would buy again. Had regally high expectation for their spanakopita because the owners are Greek, but found it so so. Probably would be a pass for me in future. Drip coffee only, no real cream or milk, no espresso based coffee. If you are in the area, definitely a good place to go to pick up some goodies. Not really a sit-down place.

Holy cannoli, I’m such a fan of Geddes Bakery! (So cheesy, I know. I couldn’t resist…) Stopped by Geddes Bakery last Saturday afternoon while exploring Main Street. I’ve never been the biggest cannoli fan, but, oh my, Geddes Bakery’s cannolis – especially the ricotta version with loads of chocolate chips – were fantastic. My boyfriend bought a dozen assorted cannolis at a totally reasonable $ 1.75 each to bring to his family birthday party the following day. Who were we kidding?! Only 7 cannolis made it to the party. Here, as at most bakeries, more substantial items are each sold at a flat price while the smaller inexpensive Italian cookies are weighed in boxes to determine pricing. The Geddes price is an even $ 10/lb. According to the website Geddes Bakery specializes in «Wedding Cakes, Italian Cookies and Pastries, Breads, Tomato Pie, Baklava, Cream Pies and Crust Pies, Bagels, Canolis, Pasta Chots, Tsoureki Sweet Greek Bread, and so much more!» Also, I noticed signs in the bakery indicating that customers should be sure to place their Easter bread orders early. Mmmm… makes me miss my grandma’s Easter bread. I didn’t see it during our visit, but apparently the bakery has a drive-thru on the side of the building. Awesome. Really liked Geddes Bakery and will certainly return during future trips to ‘Cuse.
