One of the best pizza places in Tacoma. 9⁄10 on calzones alone, will DEF eat here again to likely update the rating to 10⁄10 once the pizza has been given a try. This place has the pizza place feel to it. It’s got that pizzeria smell and atmosphere. There is bar seating, good beer on tap, and plenty of table real estate. There is a GIGANTIC30″ pizza available to order! Maybe one day… Veggie calzone and chicken Alfredo calzone are for sho legit. They were a sight for sore eyes. I knew I would burn my mouth on that bad boy, but I couldn’t wait. It was hot all the way through, filled with melty delicious cheesy tomatoey goodness, with little bits of fresh veggies. Some places take the easy route with big chunks, but these veggies were prepared to cook perfectly(sliced thin enough to cook but not so thin that they were overlooked). My green bell peppers were al dente. That isn’t easy to do. The pizza chef took their time to bake it correctly. Mine was too hot to pick up, but the Alfredo one was devoured, bite after bite, caveman style(no utensils). My only regret is that I will never be able to make it for lunch-special slices. Those other Unilocalers have posted some goooood looking slices. I can’t wait to bring my north-end friends here, show ‘em that PSP and the Hub aren’t the only good parlors in town…

Seriously authentic ny style pizza Like if you’ve been to or are from ny this is the pizza you’re expecting It’s a super huge slice like literally fills up a tray & if you catch the lunch special it’s $ 5 for a slice My husband & I got a slice each, $ 10& totally worth it! Definitely thee pizza spot & probably the only spot I deem worthy in the state of Washington. We’re from Arizona & when me moved out to Washington because of the navy we lost a lot of good food spots to choose from. There is no in & out or Barros pizza & definitely no Casanova bros or authentic Mexican food restaurants. So to find this place was awesome!

This place has a great New York style pizza. Big, thin crust, greasy and amazing. BUT you can only get the New York style at lunch or if you order a huge pizza(which can run upwards of 30 bucks for a cheese). I would give 5 stars but I wish they were open on Sunday, Monday, and lunch on Saturday. Also to drop $ 30 bucks on a cheese pizza is ridiculous… but honestly probably worth every dime.

Best pizza in Washington! I’m from NYC and I’ve missed this type of pizza, the bread is so good. I bring all my friends here so they can taste a lil of NYC

Mehhhh… Most of the pizza pics here look delicious. Our pizza was OK. Kind of a disappointment considering how much it cost. We ordered a large Hawaiian pizza. It came with WAY too much cheese. The crust is thin and cannot handle a large amount of cheese. Plus, I just don’t like a pizza with an over abundance of cheese. And Hawaiian isn’t the kind of pizza that deserves extra cheese. The crust and sauce were pretty good. I’d consider trying another pizza, but I honestly can’t get over the quality to price ratio. I have no problem spending $ 20+ for pizza(including tax). But it better be freaking awesome! Not meh.

Formerly of Bronx and Manhattan, I have been known to be a pizza addict(per fiancé). And, I am always up to challenga a place that says«New York» pizza. We are of Renton and drove down here today and tried the pizza. To begin, the young waitress was so sweet, full of energy and just real. I love real people. She offered us a dark beer called«Irish Death» and it was real nice with hints of chocolate and espresso(my opinion). My guy prefers the«Guiness Stout style» but he drank up anyways. Pizza was HUGE. We got the 16inch and it was Friday so the special was $ 2.00 off currently. I love meat but I ordered veggies since my man prefers it this way. I appreciated the ample amount of artichoke they put on the pizza. And the abundance of cheese. The crust was SPOT on! The mozzarella cheese, I could tell was of fine quality. It pulled away like cheese is supposed to do. The crust was thin and the edge dry(as it is supposed to be) to the touch(like a fresh sour dough bread) yet soft in the middle. Nice. Freaking nice. I really liked this place. I will be back here and plan to invite my gang of biker friends soon. The owner is really nice, he checked in with us and we chatted up about New York and pizza. I am a foodie person; growing up in New York that is what we do. Eat. I would suggest this place. Hidden gem. I have yet to find a good pizza in the Seattle area and I have been searching for over 15 years.

So, I visited this place right after they opened on South Tacoma Way. I did a review and said if you want to be on the ground floor of great go now. If you want to let the bugs iron out wait a few… Today I returned! Far too long, but I’m watching my diet! :) First, we ordered to go and grabbed a beer after a long day and while we waited… The bartender was fast, professional and very personable! That scores big with me… Last visit I talked with the owner and we both agreed, west cost people like modified NY pizza, too much«stuff». And always wanting more. So, I ordered my pepperoni pizza«True NY style». According to the bartender his face lit up!(Glad I could help!) We took home the 16″ pep and to cut to the chase… It was freakin amazing!!! Perfect thickness, perfect slump! Not overflowing with sauce or cheese, just perfect! That slight sweet tang in every bite. Pepperoni scattered just right without tasting like a salt lick! If you want a true NY pizza this is the place!!!

Excellent pizza, great service. I will be back here to get authentic NY style Pizza. One of the best in town. Update: Came back for a second time for dinner and the pizza was just as good. Excellent choice for good food.

Great place, amazing food — I work nearby and order here often. The pizza fries are delicious. Staff was helpful ordered online and there was a small hiccup with the order and they fixed it quickly and gave us a discount. Definitely worth trying these guys.

Rarely do I give a pizza place in the Tacoma Region 4 stars, but this place was surprisingly good. The inside of the restaurant still looks like the bar that use to be in there and there isn’t much family seating. However, the appearance is deceiving because the Pizza was good. New York Style pizza! It’s so hard to find pizza here besides eating Papa Johns or Pizza Hut. They have other things too like Calzones and Chicken Wings. We didn’t get the wings but the table beside us did and they looked good. I really enjoyed it, and that’s rare.

If it’s «authentic» NY style pizza, then Costco has been making them for years. I’ll save about $ 15 and go there instead. I swear the crust, sauce and toppings are the same. Certainly nothing special and it sure could have been cleaner. Had to hold my breath in the restroom. A couple of unsavory characters entered the place and we beat a hasty retreat.

The bartender was awesome on the phone when I ordered and even better in person! Super good NY Style #pizzaporn and really nice people! Straight up. I loved it! You sir may wanna stick with Little Cesar’s. #ouch

Had a San margetetti pizza & ghost pepper wings on a $ 3.50 draft night(Thursday’s). Everything was absolutely amazing from the food, to the drinks, to the service & then the hour long amazingly entertaining and educating conversation with Brian the owner. I wish more ppl knew how amaze balls this place was. Will def return!!!

Great New York style pizza for a great price! I had heard the legends about the slices at this place, so I decided to try it out for lunch. The slices did not disappoint and were massive. I got a 16″ and a coke for under $ 6. The pizza itself other than the size isn’t the most delicious slice you’ll ever have, but it is definitely tasty. Great place that’ll I’ll have to introduce more people to.

If you’re looking for a simple NY style huge pizza slice or a huge calzone this is the place to go! They never disappoint unless they are out the sliced. But you can order a 16″ and have them make it thin which would be very similar.

All right. So my friend and I decided to try a new pizza joint and let me tell you something. We were definitely not disappointed. I’m a Jersey girl, so I come with biases and this place definitely mitigated those biases. The pizza is great. The crust is thin, they don’t skimp on the pepperoni, the pizza is freshly made and really delicious, the slices are HUGE, and they have Angry Orchard on tap CONS: I like ALOT of cheese on my pizza, my sauce to be a little sweet, and the service wasn’t great. They messed up our order and can’t make a lot of drinks(they have no juice for musings) BUT I’ll definitely come back and this is by far the best pizza place in town I’ve been to.

I loved this pizza place! Steve and I walked in here and coincidentally a drag queen /king show was going to be starting soon here. It was mainly a drag king event where lesbian couples came to perform along with their kids. We were asked by one of the performers if this would be a problem for us because there were problems with customers in the past complaining about it and in a few weeks their show would need to move to another location because the place was losing business over it. I don’t have anything critical to say to the owners on this because they were generous enough to let them perform here in the first place but to the bigoted customers out there the only thing I have to say is… go get a life! The show was fun and entertaining and no children were being harmed. Now then… on to the pizza… We got a cashew chicken pizza here which was something we haven’t come across before so that upped the scale on uniqueness. The pizza was very good and the service was good and friendly. I got a couple of beers and on the second one they forgot to bring it to me so I gently reminded them of it and they gave me the beer for free. That was very kind and excelled service but it wasn’t necessary. I would have been happy to pay for it and they had a lot going on. It was a fun first time visit here and I wish there was a drag show here every night!

True New York style pizza by the slice. My husband and I are transplanted New Yorkers who have been living in the Tacoma area for the last five years. We’ve gone as far as Portland in search of the perfect slice. Have come close in various locations but this one definitely tops them all. The slices are large! It looks like it would be a great place to kick it(low key) with some friends and enjoy some drinks and pizza any day of the week. I wouldn’t call it a sit-down restaurant that I’d go to for a date night or even a nice meal. This is a true New York style dive where you can get some grub and not make much fuss about expectations. Will definitely come here again. Wish they had garlic knots but maybe they will in the future :)
