i bought a boat and trailer and was reluctant because no compression check and not a chance to get boat on water, i took a chance and made a purchace. i have taken this boat out four times and have spent $ 80 in launch fees and everytime came limping back in on my kicker motor that was not purchased from them. each time i have worked on it and been dumping money into a boat that not once has been reliable but the stress and time. i was told maybe a $ 200 would fix the issue.
$ 1500 now my new surprise. internal salt corrosion, low compression, new coils and now a a lower end is needed cause its full of water and bad pump, steering is another $ 600 cause it’s a huge safety issue due to rot. also winch strap snapped trying to retrieve the boat after a 20 minute bust of a boat ride on the lake. also boat did not even fit trailor properly had to completely move winch and adjust tounge to a safe towing and operating status. i was assured it had a newer head unit that i have found out by a trust worthy marine machanic that it is not newer but actually older. it’s a used lot and i thought and hoped them to be trust worthy. they said «we are here to sell fun and not a problem»
this deal has been nothing but a problem and stress and more money!
it’s my bad for taking there word and putting trust in a company that i thought was a reprabule co. not so!
im dumping money in a boat that was supposed to be turn key.
thank god i didnt just get out and hit the salt trusting this sale cause my life and others could easily have been in jepeordy.
i will never do bus. with them again and sure will not send anybody to them for bus.
what i thought was going to be a good boat and running motor for the price seemed right but it’s only been more money and i have missed every fishing trip i planned cause a unreliable non dependable burden.
this has been my worst deal and unfortunately a huge mistake on my part.
good luck and look for a dealer that’s going to get the boat on the water with you so you know before you sign what all the true issues are, and please make sure they will at least do a compression test for you for that piece of mind. boating is a serious issue and can be also dangerous if you think you have something that is not.
so about a month or two after owning this boat and a truly reliable marine mechanic and 1,850.00 later in additional cost and stress i just might have something that i can get on the water and use it as it was intended instead of sitting in my shop or a mechanics shop, towing it back and forth with not a single gratifying day on the water yet.
