This place has become unbearable to shop in. They have crammed so much into the store that it is impossible to navigate a cart around. They have become way over priced. I have enjoyed shopping here in the past but this morning’s experience has finally driven me off.
What a shame.

I noticed an atypical smell coming from my last tuna purchase. Usually there’s no noticeable smell, but this was wrinkling my nose as soon as I opened the package. I use this tuna for poke, and I simply can’t stomach the thought of forcing myself to eat it just because I spent the $ 5. Food poisoning isn’t worth that and I won’t take the chance. They had vacuum sealed packages which aren’t noticeably smelly, however.
Every other time, I’ve had great experiences. I love the place. So a 4-​star review for past experiences, but I hope they fix their tuna selection soon or go back to their old provider if they switched recently.

Tacoma Boys great!!! I have been shopping there for at least 15 years and they have always been kind and have the best produce ever!!! So healthy and a great selection of beer too!!!

Passed Tacoma Boys on the way to Comcast. Decided to stop by on the way home. So glad I did!
This is a really nice store and open 24⁄7. You can snag fresh produce and meat, wine/​beer, and even ceramic pots.
I didn’t actually buy anything this time, but this is going to be one of my first stops once I move into my new place. Can’t wait to fill a kitchen with fresh food!

Awesome Stockpile of Beers From Around The World! They have a nice Wine selection as well! Fresh Produce & Butcher has some nice cuts of meat!

I really don’t feel right buying my produce at normal grocery stores after coming here.
Everything here is ALWAYS top quality.
Decently priced.
Shelves are always well stocked.
The place is Clean!
I love their butcher, nice meat section. They also have a giant selection of cheeses, one of my favorites is the jalapeño gouda. Yum. Try it if u like spicy.
I just really feel good supporting my local farmers. Almost everything they have here is locally grown in the northwest. Also a large selection of gluten free items for people with celiac or gluten intolerance.
If you appreciate the quality of your fruit and veggies, please come here!
Oh! And they’re open 24/​7, 365 days a year.

This location is my favourite Tacoma Boys.
Tons of Stonewall Kitchen and other high quality brands to choose from. Their beer selection is quite large and they have plenty of delicious treats through out the store.
Somethings can be a bit pricey, but overall it’s a great store.

I’ve been stopping here for their in-​house, daily made, hot salsa — wines, cheese, fruits and vegetables since I moved to Browns Point, Tacoma in 2005 and kept dropping in after I moved to Gig Harbor in 2007 — and the best part are the garden/​landscape plants they have for sale out front !

I love going shopping here. I especially like their meat and deli area. They also have a lot of good produce and a fairly large alcohol selection. Service here is good and the guys behind the deli counter will give you samples of things you’re thinking about buying.

The only place that I could get a decent watermelon from this summer.
Even the other Tacoma Boy’s locations do not seem as good.
I can randomly grab fruit and produce from this store and have my family be happy with the quality every time.

My wife and I moved to Tacoma from Florida 3 years ago. We are avid seafood lovers; my favorite being oysters. I’ve been all over the city looking for delicious oysters as a reasonable price. Most stores have the oysters priced at $ 10-​$ 12 a dozen. My wife happened to be driving home and decided to stop (we’ve tried oysters from literally every where) to grab a dozen. These oysters were humongous! They were absolutely delicious and the best part was they were on sale for $ 5.99 a dozen. I will definitely be coming back, it’s safe to say I’ve finally found my oyster fix in Tacoma!

Great local grocery store that sells all kinds of gourmet products and is open 24⁄7! The best thing about Tacoma Boys is their meat selection and pricing. Other items like dry goods can be quite pricey, but the fresh stuff is top notch and priced fairly competitively.

This is not the store I used to frequent, what happened?! It’s like an over priced Safeway. There is nothing that sets them apart other than the costly booze department. I asked the girl there about organic veggies and she rudely said «they don’t sell so we don’t carry it.»
I received spoiled fish from the deli and all of the non-​organic apples I begrudgingly bought from grocery area were MEALY… They need to step it up if they wanna survive after WF opens.

LOVE LOVE LOVE This store!!!
I am adding this place to my weekly shopping. Everything is nice in these. The plants are amazing, the produce is fresh, I am not a meat eater but the husband is so I can see myself buying the burgers, the steaks, and the sliced meat. They have just about everything a Vegan/​Vegetarian would need. It is priced somewhere between Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.

The BEST store I’ve seen in a long time. Fresh veggies and fruits. Specialty items. Over 100 unique wines! Butcher knows his stuff and makes the best recommendations and pairings.
