Excellent and authentic Mexican food! Mexican food is my overall preference and this place is in my top three all-time favorites. I’m particularly a fan of Mexican restaurants where there are more Mexicans than Americans and this is place fills the bill. I love the chorizo con papas filling in their«build-your-own» style menu. Go and enjoy the real deal in ambience, flavor, and menu offerings. If you’re lucky you’ll get there in time for the pasole!

Great food, friendly staff. Authentic menu and you can get the good Coca-Cola from Mexico made with real sugar.

My fiancé and I live in Omaha but every time we visit his family in Tahlequah we go to Jose’s without a doubt. Those authentic carne asada tacos are to DIE for. Gotta get them with everything and add avocados and cheese. We constantly crave these amazing tacos. The green chili salsa served with them is also delicious. The price can’t be beat. I could eat here every day. LOVETHISPLACE!

This is actually a restaurant/small grocery store, the video rental seems to be a tiny part of the business so it should be re-categorized as a restaurant. Hope that will direct more people to this place, because the food is great. Tortas, burritos, other dishes with your choice of meat [chicken, pork, asada, even beef tongue/cheek.]. Get your drink from the cooler next to the counter. The people there are really friendly and helpful to newcomers who might not be familiar with everything on the menu. Burritos are not *gigantic* but are a decent size and they don’t skimp on the meat and have very little rice filler. Sides like chips and extra guacamole are extra, but it’s worth it, it’s freshly made and delicious. The burritos actually come with guacamole and sour cream on the side. I live on the West Coast and am a bit picky about Mexican food but this was really good. Very affordable, but it is cash only so hit the ATM before you go.
