Ordered a two cup of soup and a grill chicken salad. Got soups in a te cop and chicken salad sandwich on white bread! Told the waiter that I ordered a GRILL chicken salad not a sandwich. He responded thats how it goes in their restaurant!!! At the end cashier didn’t forget to mention about tips!!! Sandwich cost $ 8.00 !!!

Great service! The owners were very informative and genuine. The fried green tomatoes were excellent! Light breading, the tomatoes flavor shines thru! A cozy, casual atmosphere.

Took my three kids here. I ordered a rare burger that was well done. Son ordered a kids burger and got one bigger than mine. No one ordered tomatoes and we both got the whole garden. Daughter ordered chicken strips which were more breaking than chicken. Youngest ordered applesauce which came in a container that you would put ketchup in to dip fries.

The pulled pork, sauces, and potato salad were better than expected, the slaw & applesauce were mediocre, but acceptable. The overall cleanliness left a bit to be desired as surfaces were a bit sticky. Polite, fast and attentive service.

Great pulled pork and Brunswick stew. Quick service but it was on Sunday at lunch. We are local and eat here about once a week. Service can be spotty but food is always good.

Stopped here on the way through town for lunch on a Sunday and it was a big mistake. After a slow start, it took even longer for the food to arrive — 45 min. total — with nobody stopping by to refill tea or to check in on us. About 10 min before the food arrived, we started to say something, and received a series of excuses/lectures from everybody on the staff about how there was this one big table of 16 and these other tables, which even though they came after us took precedence over us because their orders were simpler. We had ordered barbecues and burgers which I wouldn’t have thought was that complicated. Both were dreadful. The burgers we ordered medium rare were about as well done as could be. The barbecue was dried out beyond belief. Both must have been under the warmer the full 45 min. In short, service was poor(two ladies were well meaning, a third from the register was outright offensive) and the food was even poorer.

Stopped on our way thru town. We had 4 people in our party who all ordered something different. BBQ, Brunswick stew, slaw, chicken fingers and catfish. All of the food was of very poor quality.(My two Beagle pups who eat anything spit out my chicken nuggets!) The only positive item on the menu that we tried was the fried green tomatoes. Our bill was very high for an $ 8 appetizer, $ 8 meal and $ 10 meal it was almost $ 40 so we can only assume that they charged for drink refills on tea and soda. Don’t waste your time or money.

We sat and watched two parties sit down, get their food and drinks, enjoy their meal, and leave the restaurant before our drinks were even brought to the table. We waited another 25 minutes after our drinks arrived, watched two more groups come and go, and finally we decided to leave. By far the worst service I have experienced in quite some time.

We drive past this place a lot when we drive from Atlanta to Cherokee(or other places up in the mountains), but we finally stopped in. Very nice atmosphere for a little diner type place — there is a screened in porch, totally outdoor seating or inside seating(lots of options!) I guess pulled pork and pulled chicken are their regular BBQ options. My husband had the pulled pork and said it was good. I had the chicken philly sandwich and onion rings — it was really good. As were the fried pickles. They had salads, sandwiches, burgers and BBQ on their menu. Definitely stop in!

I stopped in this place on a Saturday evening after setting up my campsite in the camping area(the one run by Georgia Power) in the state park(Tallulah Gorge State Park). This place was very close to the park entrance. I figured barbecue was my best bet at MSB&B. I debated on getting a pulled pork plate with two sides and bread for $ 10.00 versus a pulled sandwich with one side for $ 9. I decided on the plate with fries and slaw and garlic bread(maybe it was Texas toast). At any rate my decision was good. Not too much food but certainly enough food. I can’t say it was the greatest barbecue I have ever had but it wasn’t bad barbecue either; certainly good. The two sauces were sweet and I could not tell much difference between the two. The other squeeze bottle on the table was ketchup. No hot sauce or mustard /Carolina style sauce. The fries were thin fries with a bit of paprika or bay seasoning(not sure which). The slaw was a little too saucy /creamy with mayo or sour cream(or both). Service was a little confused /addled. One waitress welcomed me and disappeared. Another brought me my beer(Miller Lite). Another took my order. Yet another brought my food. When it was time to pay, I was told by yet another different waitress who brought me my bill that the credit card reader may not work with my card(as it was not working earlier) but they would give it a try to be sure; it worked. This place is not a bad choice when visiting the town to hike the gorge. Perhaps really deserves 3.5 stars; however, I will go with 3.

This was a very simple little diner/café type of place where the basic comfort food hit the spot. I mean fried goodness of banana pepper rings fried to a golden brown. Also a big fat cheeseburger, fried green tomatoes, brunswick stew and cold Miller lite! You just cant go wrong… The pretty lady and I hiked the Tallulah Gorge and worked up an appetite and didnt wanna drive a long way for a bite to eat, so we checked this place out and were very happy. The service was excellent, even though they accidentally put mustard on her burger, they were quik and eager to correct it. If we are ever in the area again, we’ll be sure to stop by again!
