Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa-Anderson Rd/Veterans Exp

I’ve stayed here twice in the last year, and I’m sure I will again. The quality and service you expect of a Holiday Inn. Clean rooms, large space, separate sitting area and small kitchenette with large mini fridge (mine was disturbingly noisy, but oh well).
Good price, easy location, desk and good Internet, and good breakfast. Those are important for us work-​travelers.
I did think the desk was smaller than usual (or maybe it was the large lamp taking it over), but it was sufficient. The furniture in this room was funky. Unfortunately, the desk chair piston system was broken, so it was wayy too low to use as a desk chair, so I pulled up the side chair to use (they need to throw that hideous broken desk chair out and get something of better quality that will last).
My biggest issue was the blocked window in my room. 217. I couldn’t see out, and given I was there several hours working I felt claustrophobic. Also, I parked where I thought I’d be able to see my car. but couldn’t see anything beyond the wall. Next time I’d asked to be moved if I did get that room again.

My fiancé and I had traveled to Tampa for a family members wedding this past weekend. We chose to stay here and made the right decision. As dog owners I always travel with my fur children, as they’re usually very well behaved occasionally they get lonely and bark in the room. Michele from the front desk went above and beyond and called me to inform me of their barking, and even made it a point to call the phone in the room as she noticed it helped soothe them as well as taking routine trips past the room to talk to them through the door and calm them down. Between her exceptional customer service as well as Wendy’s we will be staying here any time we visit the area as the rooms were clean, neat, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We’ve stayed in many hotels up and down the east coast and this one has by far stood out thanks to the awesome employees!

Stayed 2 nights and had a great time. This is a nice hotel with a great free breakfast included. Diane was super friendly and helpful with suggestions during my stay. I felt the location was a great area with plenty of food and activities to do with a short drive. The room was nice (on the bottom floor) with really high ceilings, which I appreciate as I feel like it helps keep the noise down. I would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed at this location on an employee rate for a quick trip to The Florida Aquarium with my boyfriend. The lobby was clean, front desk staff was quick and efficient, even the employee in training that checked me in (I checked in around 3 on March 2^nd, I didn’t get her name but the other agent’s name was Diane I think). I got to the room and found a stained pillow case which was quickly and graciously replaced by Yolanda in HK. The room was a smoking room (I was made aware of this when I called a couple days prior and brought my own air fresheners for good measure) but beside the obvious smoking smell it was extremely clean. I was kind of disappointed by the HK staff yelling through the halls around 10 am but was already awake so nbd. The breakfast was well stocked with a wonderful variety (the pancake roller is a super cool touch). The GM seemed to be always on duty and very interactive with the guests. She was able to give me a quick response when I asked for the tech support line for an Internet issue I was having. All in all, I would definitely say at this location again! Especially because it’s surrounded by so many convenient restaurants and things.

We stayed on the 4^th floor. We could hear the planes, but kept the fan on and it was a cool, pleasant sleep. Pretty good outdoor pool, it was fun floating on my back, watching the moon rise and the planes pass overhead. The kids had a lot of fun. Good bedding, clean hotel, nice breakfast. The upper hallways are not air conditioned so your room feels like a little escape.

This hotel has an excellent location and looks new. But the water damage smell in our room was terrible. I’m a Priority Club Member and I was surprised with that issue. Holiday Inn try to keep in top of everything.
I’ll try them again another time.

So so room quality and cleanliness. Location seemed off the beaten path.

The hotel is convenient in terms of highway access, but there is not much around. It is very close to the airport, so there is some airplane noise, but the soundproofing is fairly good.
The rooms were clean and fairly spacious. The beds were comfortable, with a choice of pillows. There was a decent flat-​screen tv, but the available channels were limited. There is free wi-​fi (YAY!), but signal strength was poor in my room. There is a small complimentary business center with 2 pc’s and a printer.
The bathroom was adequate, as were the toiletries, but the towels were a bit rough. The hotel readily supplied shaving gel and a disposable razor when requested. There was a coffee maker, but no microwave, refrigerator or room safe.
There is a free self-​service breakfast with eggs and a side, along with cold cereal etc.
The staff were friendly and mostly competent, but only 1 of 2 wakeup calls requested was carried out. Not really dependable enough.
There is a small outdoor pool.
