Amazing staff & quality of care. I originally started seeing Dr. Shao after a foot injury that required surgery, to speed up my healing. I’ve continuing going because of the quality of care and the overall health benefits she and her staff provide. Every time I schedule an appointment, they start by reassessing what my body’s needs are and customizing my appointment based on what my body needs help with. Sometimes it’s my sleep that needs help, other times it’s my digestive track that could use improvement or allergies and skin inflammation.
My mother also visits her regularly and drives from Clearwater, FL because of the amazing work she does. They remember us every time we go and always ask me how my mom is when I’m there. Shows they really pay attention to their patients.

I want to share what a wonderful experience I’ve had with Dr Shao over the years. I initially came in for stress and infrequent abdominal pain, and her treatment was the best relief I’d ever received, even before I started on supplements.
The acupuncture is so pleasant, you won’t want your sessions to end…
She carries the best medicine at better prices than I’ve found elsewhere and the entire treatment is very affordable. You can spend 5X as much to see an alternative doctor to prescribe the same meds — but you won’t get the same level of care.
If you have some elusive disorders that regular doctors aren’t able to pin down, do yourself a favor and step outside of your norm.
Dr Shao is very knowledgeable, and she and her staff are friendly and professional.

So happy to have been referred to Dr. Shao. Everyone at this office is so nice and caring– it really does feel like a 2^nd home. It is uncanny sometimes that by just looking at me she can tell what dietary items I have been eating and need to avoid. I trust her implicitly and greatly value her treatment and care. If you are looking for Accupuncture– this is the place!!! You can tell she really cares about all her patients and wants to impact their lives and health.

Professionally:
They only sale things I do need. I never fell like I am being con or pushed to buy things that I do not need, like some other doctor’s office. They were and still are honest to me about every treatments, herbs, and up front.
Whenever I have questions about acupuncture, herbs, western medicine, other eastern medicine, she is always willing to answer them. What she does not know, she tells me she does not know or does not do.
Another thing I like about Dr Shoa’s treatment, she does not limit herself to only one form of treatment, ie needles. She at time is mentor, listener, guidance, and refers other doctor, when need be.
Accommodating:
When I came to see Dr Shao, end of 2011, for the first time it was because my aunt needed her China medical records to be translated to English, so her US doctor can better help my aunt.
Knowledgable:
They did just that. Even though the US doctors did not accepted the translations as an official document, my aunt’s physicians were able to use the translated document to figure out what the next treatment was.
Punctual:
They got my aunt’s China’s medical record translated within a week’s time or less. Considering, she could have refused it, like some other Chinese acupuncture doctors that I had tried asking around in Tampa.
Above and beyond:
Dr Shoa’s office is like a second home to me, because when I am here, I feel at home. She listens to my emotional roller coaster stories. Then she gives treatment accordingly.
When she felt my neck need adjusting, she advised and was able to refer me to a Chiropractic. Which I do not believe in going to one. But because I trust Dr. Shoa, I went to see the chiropractic, and the chiropractic came through on that. With 3 acupuncture treatments and 3 chiropractic adjustments, my stiff neck has loosen a lot. It was that quick.
Working with me and my schedules:
I came in half an hour late one time, because I remembered the wrong time. Thankfully, she was able to take me in, therefore I did not have to to reschedule. I felt so bad for being late, Dr. Shoa was very understanding and did not give me a hard time but was also comforting.
Due to fact that I travel a lot, I love the idea that I can call within a day’s notices and be able to have an appointment set up, at times I was able to get an appointment on the same day. Which is works perfect for me.
As a person:
Dr Shoa and staffs are very friendly, easy to chat with, and understanding.

Dr Chao really listens to you and your concerns. She sees me every time I go in for acupuncture which I appreciate. I have been going to see here for a few months now.
Finally, with the help of clomid and acupuncture, I conceived right before my last acupuncture session. Dr. Chao offered to sell me the placenta compound pills I had been buying from her, even when she knew I was going back to CA. Fortunately I found the pills online, for half the price.

Dr Shao is the best. I have been going to her for over 5 years. She has cured conditions that no other doctor could cure or understand. She is also very intuitive so she is not just using chinese medicine for diagnosis and healing choices. If you want a good acupuncturist who knows her stuff, go to Dr Shao.

Dr. Shao is amazing! I only wish Humana covered my visits, she is well worth every penny.
