Great selection of beautiful plants. I found many plants for my butterfly garden that I couldn’t find other places. All of the plants I saw were strong and healthy and in much better shape than the ones from big box stores. The plants cost less than most places which allowed me to buy everything I was looking and wanted. Can’t wait to go back for my big landscaping job.

Great selection. Always healthy, quality plants. When I get them home they do well. Manny and his daughter are always very helpful in talking about the areas I need foliage and what can best work in those areas. Prices are very competitive. It is great to see an independent operator who takes great pride in his business and provides excellent service. Always someone to help you load your car.

The whole family works here, and the staff is quite knowlegable about what will work where in which type of condition. So don’t blame Manny’s if you plant a tropical full sun plant in deep shade under your pine tree!
The prices run about 10−20% less than big-​box retailers, and the selection is much better, too.
It’s fun to just walk around here. The store is very cool. Their shrubs are great, and they have many large specimens, too.
I’ve been very satisfied to come up here from S. Tampa for the overall better experience.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The plants were beautiful and affordable. I liked how the plants that were decently priced were plays you would actually want to purchase and plant in your garden. Not a big selection of pots and yard supplies, but that’s not really important. Can’t wait to redo my yard with plants I from here.

I love Manny’s On The Bay. I’ve been coming here for years and years to supplement my flower addiction. They have a great selection, and I love that someone is always working nearby when I’ve needed advice on what will work where. Prices are usually cheaper than big box stores, and the variety and color options are always better. I have never had any issues with their plants not flourishing.
I purchase mulch here every year too, and it is so convenient that I can just back my car in and they load up my trunk for me. If only they would follow me home and mulch my flower beds for me… ;-)
They are not open on Sundays any more, so swing by Saturday morning at 9 am when they open for the best selection. This is also a great spot to pick up holiday plants.

Mannys is a really cool place to shop. Staff are always helpful and prices are great. We’ve purchased a large palm tree and just yesterday some bamboo. We had both installed by them. The palm tree was 4 months ago. The bamboo was installed today. Very professional installation. The palm tree looks awesome!

A great, family-​owned plant nursery right on the river (not Bay) at Hillsborough Avenue. It is a nearly hidden green refuge, that offers a cool dark walk in the native jungle. Big on offering native Florida plants, bushes, trees, foliage and not the high volume of imported annuals found at mass marketers like Home Depot or Walmart. Kids also like the big cage of parrots and jungle birds that further set the wild feel of the place. Prices are very good (e.g. 99 cent herbs) and staff is very helpful in helping you find the right plants for your needs, light conditions, soil, etc.
Again…best to shop and buy local whenever you can… help neighbors survive in business is good business.
