Their cupcakes are very delicious! They’re made fresh daily, not too sweet, and moist. The lady who took my order was nice and helpful. This will be my go to place for cupcakes.

You haven’t lived until you’ve had one of these Cupcakes. By far the best cupcakes you will ever taste. Freshly baked and with the greatest selection of flavors will blow your mind! If you’re a cupcake fan. There is no way you will be disappointed. If you’re not a fan, guess what? You will be. With great staff & customer service, Cynthia(Owner) will make sure your satisfaction is definitely met. A beautiful store that is very clean and comfortable… You will not buy another cupcake from anywhere else.

Love Ms. Jane’s Cupcakes. I buy 6 at a time and freeze them until I want one. These cupcakes are moist and the frosting is just right, not too sweet. To make sure that you are getting the freshest cupcake possible, Ms. Jane’s only makes a limited number of cupcakes and flavors per day so if you want to get a certain kind, make sure you get there early otherwise you will get whatever is left or you might not get any if they are sold out. I would recommend Ms. Jane’s Cupcakes if you are in the mood for a nice treat.

We needed a small wedding cake so we went in to try the cupcakes which were excellent. We decided to go ahead and order our wedding cake. The owner was very nice, great customer service. We picked up the cake on our wedding day, it was beautiful. We took the cake to the restaurant and opened the box and the cake had slid. We push it back together and attempted to cut it and it fell apart like the turkey on National Lampoon’s Christmas. There was no saving it. The guests picked through and noticed that it was soaking in raspberry filling(jelly). It had three thick layers of raspberry in this small 8 inch cake. No wonder it fell apart. There was more filling than cake. Thank God for the 6 complimentary cupcakes that came with the cake!

Holy sweet tooth! These are not your ordinary store bought cupcakes that lack both flavor and originality. Ms. Jane is an innovation master in the kitchen when it comes to these hand-held morsels of heaven. Hey pie lovers, try the Coconut Cream Pie cupcake. White fluffy cake topped with a creamy, light frosting and toasted coconut flakes. And for cream cheese drizzle on top? Icing on the cake… pie…cupcake.

This is how you make cupcakes Tampa, so take some notes! I ordered chocolate mint, white chocolate raspberry, and some vanilla cupcake. The cupcakes were perfectly moist, yet baked so it held together. There were also fillings in all 3 of my cupcakes. The whip was perfectly balanced and gave you that texture without being overly sweet. The cake of the mint chocolate was rich and decandent. The mint crème was surprisingly smooth and light and included a small cookie. The white raspberry was phenomenal, the mixture of flavors was delicious. The white chocolate was creamy and light while raspberry filling was sweet and tart. The vanilla was my least favorite. They may have changed their price, I ended up paying 9 and some odd change for 3 cupcakes, but would gladly pay more for the high quality. Some previous posts were outraged at the prices, but other cupcake stores in Tampa I have visited charge even more while having inferior product. Any quality cupcake store up north will have comparable or much higher prices. Expose yourself! Support this business which is committed to the art of cupcake! They are doing it right, 5 stars!

Went here yesterday, Saturday, for the first time. I love the ambience. They’ve only been open for a couple of months. Ms. Jane said they opened on April 27, I believe. Having said that, it’s understandable why they don’t have unlimited amount of cupcakes everyday(older review says they were out of cupcakes when he went. Maybe because it was during the end of the business day). It’s a small business. Anything they don’t sell for the day is a waste of business’ money. It was good to know that Ms. Jane makes specific flavors of cupcakes on a given day. When you become a regular and have your favorites, you can choose to come on the day she makes those flavors. Otherwise, you can pre-order what you want. We tried 3 flavors: maple bacon, piña colada, and Nutella. Each was beautifully boxed in a pink colored box. Great for a neat gift for someone or an employee staff. The cupcakes were very moist. The icing’s sweetness was just right. Not too sweet. I will be a regular customer!!! I’m so glad I went after seeing a coupon from a neighborhood magazine!

I am happy that Ms. Jane’s Cupcakes have come to New Tampa. Sweet and decadence is here. The cupcake options were fun and inviting, & there is a nice variety. I decided to buy 9 so I can give a few friends some sweet treats for them & their family. I saved three for my family: white chocolate raspberry, nutella, and german chocolate cake. Nutella was the best of the three, and German chocolate cake was a close second. Other favorites that my friends loved were the birthday cake cupcake, & the cinnamon bun cupcake. It is hard to find a balanced, and nicely moist cupcake. You will find it here, especially when the filling makes it just that. The inside is very nice and inviting, as well as Cynthia, and the rest of her family. They have wine and cupcake pairings, and the next one is at the end of July. It sounds like a fun time. Check them out, and you will be happy. Tell them Rachel sent you. Can’t wait for my visit. I will try their Tropical Fusion and Piña Colada.

Cupcakes evolved in the United States during the 19th century because they saved a lot of time in the kitchen. They were easier to complete and perfect than their sheet cake brethren. I have oftentimes imagined myself transporting back to that time period and finding the first person that decided that cupcakes needed to have icing on them. I want to just get them to pause and think for a minute. Is icing this cake really what’s best? I say this because what I love about cupcakes is the cake. What I dislike? The overly sugary iced topping. I usually solve this by pulling off the wrapper and using it to scrape all the icing off the top. Then I eat the cake. That doesn’t mean that I won’t give cupcakes a try in their traditional state. I’ve found some places in the Tampa area that actually have some great icing that flows nicely with their cake. It just means that those places are the exception, not the rule. My most recent cupcake experience took place at Ms. Jane’s Cupcakes. This is a new shop in a strip mall(go figure) off of Bruce B. Downs in New Tampa. Its so new that, as of yesterday, there were still some picture frames on the floor waiting to be filled with cupcake porn and some empty spaces remain where eventually some kind of product will be placed. Right now Ms. Jane’s Cupcakes offers cookies, bottled drinks and candy. They also have cupcakes. The big board at Ms. Jane’s displays dozens of flavors that are available. These include a number of different chocolate creations, cheesecake style, vanilla and some fruit flavors. During my visit last week there were only two flavors available. Yesterday they had seven. I’m not sure what the norm will be once they get this cupcake making business down pat but I do know that seven was a lot better than two. I decided the Pina Colada cupcake was the one for me. Ms. Jane laughed as I ordered one and said that she had actually whipped up a few«naughty» ones that contained real Pina Colada. I stuck with the kid friendly version. I loved, loved, loved(like five star worthy) the cake. It was so moist and fluffy, like a gigantic cake pillow. I just wanted to lay my face right in that cake and stay there forever. This moist cake was enhanced by the pineapple chunks that were layered on top of it. Oh doggy, it reminded me of a pineapple upside down cake. At the very top of the entire creation was a layer of shredded coconut. Blend that coconut with the pineapple and cake and you’ve got a winning combo. Unfortunately, the cupcake didn’t stop there. Between the pineapple and coconut, there was a layer of icing. Alright icing hater, what say you? Well, the icing didn’t detract from the cake at all. There was no super sugar rush or anything that masked the fruit and cake. But, in my icing hating opinion, it didn’t really enhance the cake either. It felt like it was just there to be there, like it owed something to that 19th century human that first decided a cupcake needed icing. So yes, I’m a fan of Ms. Jane’s Cupcakes and I’m really excited to see how far she takes the business. But at this stage, is it a perfect cupcake? No. Can it get there? Time will tell.

Had a very tasty Chocolate Chip drip from Ms Jane’s…very moist and enjoyed the frosting and chocolate chip topping. I’d like to try an assortment box of some of the other flavors. Maybe they will have some kind of mix n match special.

Zero stars for this bakery. I expected one of the best cupcakes ever for $ 3.50 each. They’re standard size too. It was disgusting! The vanilla and chocolate cakes both didn’t taste any better than Pillsbury and I wouldn’t be surprised if it were Pillsbury mix. The worst part was the frosting. It was equivalent to sticking a softened piece of butter in my mouth. It was barely sweetened, just tasted like pure butter. Really gross. Plus they only had 6 flavors when they list 50 on their website. The bakery there before it couldn’t stay in business at that location and they sold 6 cupcakes for $ 10 or 3 for $ 5, so good luck with the whole $ 3.5 each and $ 21 for 6 prices. I’ll stick to Alessi Bakery in Tampa. Alessi makes the best cupcakes/cakes and has fair prices!

4 stars because(«Yay! I’m a fan») it’s a very nice addition to the area… I’m always a BIG fan and supporter of small local businesses… I tried 3 cupcakes while I was there…:) The Chocolate chip drip… the cupcake of itself was moist and tasty but I’m not a fan of chocolate the icing was too heavy for me so it was not my fav but my better half loved it… she’s a chocolate fan. Oreo…the moistness of the cupcake was very nice and the taste was awesome… I was able to eat the whole cupcake including the icing which was soft delicious and light. Raspberry white chocolate… OMG this cupcake was a taste of heaven… it also has a raspberry filling inside… the cake was very very moist and tasty… the icing was delicious soft moist tasty… THISIS A MUSTTRY!!! The store has been opened for 2 months… I like the store front… inside is very clean, seating area seats are very comfortable… and bathroom is very clean. Check out my pics of the store and cupcakes.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I suppose the 1 star I am leaving could be for presentation. These cupcakes look so much better than they taste. Oily frosting that as my sister put it, «rolls around your mouth». Very dry and bland chocolate cake. Raspberry frosting tasted like whipped butter. Will not be coming again for $ 3.50 a cupcake!
