I have been buying my sneaks at this store for the past 5 years or so. Why? Because they are very helpful. They keep my information on record, so I don’t have to remember what I bought the last time. They tell me what each type of shoe is for and then base their recommendation on my activity. They are not the cheapest, but I have always been happy with my shoes. I don’t run, but I work out 5 days a week in a gym, so my athletic shoes are important to me. I agree with some of the previous comments about their customer service. They don’t jump all over you when you walk in the door, but when you ask questions, they are very informative. The employee that waited on me this weekend started out kind of snarky… not to me, but just in general, like he didn’t want to be there. Hence the 4 stars, not 5. However, he did his job well and I left with a great pair of sneakers.

Awful customer service! They made no attempt to be helpful at all. They were rude and sarcastic. I cannot believe they are even open for business.

After my recent experience with a painful bruise on my heel, it was suggested that I get some new insoles for my running shoes. Since I really like the fit of my New Balance shoes, I thought that I’d start with the New Balance store on Dale Mabry Highway in Carrollwood and see what they could suggest. Finding this store is a bit of a challenge — it’s easy to spot the shopping center, but a bit trickier to find the New Balance store. You’re watching for the Carrollwood Village Center shopping center at the intersection of Dale Mabry and Fletcher Avenue. Inside the shopping center you’ll find a Publix, First Watch restaurant, Stein Mart, Bonefish Grill, Panera Bread, Moe’s, Firehouse Subs, and the New Balance store. There were two clerks in the store, and one other patron, so I received plenty of attention as the other person was just window shopping. I explained that I needed to replace the insoles in my running shoes, and they had me step up onto a machine which measured and displayed the pressure points on my feet. Why look, I have flat feet!!! OK, so from there we talked about some of the different styles of insoles that were available, and I finally settled on a pair of Motion Control Insoles for $ 45. After some additional discussion they showed me a pair of rubberized Olukai thong sandals that have a nice arch, and that I can wear on the boat or at the beach as they’re able to get wet. Very comfy! This is not the cheapest place to buy your running shoes, apparel and gear, but they seem to have most everything in stock, or available for quick shipment from another store. So I spent a bit more money than originally planned, but I ended up with the new insoles, and a comfy pair of sandals that I can wear on the weekends.

Not very nice folks. Salespeople are not runners but should consider it. Totally ignored that I had $ 200 in my pocket… not sure why but never said«hey, what’s up» or ” I’ll be right wit you in a wanna be minute”, nada, nothing, so changed trajectory over to The Running Store– Bill, a runner, helped me out!
