Lucy is wonderful! This is the best place to go downtown for breakfast. Always very accommodating and very welcoming! Jennifer provides excellent service with a smile!

Low key, but an excellent breakfast spot! Skip the chain first watch and give this place a try. Everything seems to be homemade and the service was very quick! Prices are also very reasonable.

So, a traditional Cuban is made with ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard, and sometimes salami on Cuban bread. Well, there was no roasted pork to be found, it was made with lettuce, a slice of ham, cheddar cheese, tomato and lots of mayo. I asked for it pressed — it was about 4 ½″ thick… will never go back again.

Great homemade food! Delicious pancakes for breakfast and big juicy burgers for lunch with thick steak fries. Great environment, perfect for enjoying a nice casual lunch with friends or family. They have meatloaf Thursday every week and you can’t miss it! Family owned and operated for over 30 years by Lucy, the amazing woman running around making sure her servers always please the customers! A must-go place!

Ehhhhh it was just okay. I ordered a corned beef grinder… wrong thing for a Clevelander to order here. My expectations were waaaay too high. In my mind, a corned beef sandwich is stacked so high you have leftovers for 2 days. Not so here. The rye bread was sweet too which is the exact opposite of what you would expect. May come back and try something different but may not either.

I am the Unilocal Duchess of Olé Style Deli, but I wholeheartedly agree with Jeremy L. and Meg R. The last two times my co-workers and I visited the deli, they took around 45 minutes to prepare and serve the food. We have an hour for lunch, which meant that we had to rush through in less than 10 minutes what was otherwise a delicious meal. During both visits, people sitting at nearby tables were also appalled by the slow service. When I asked who seemed to be the owner about the delay, she was busy coming up with excuses such as, «We make our burgers from scratch.» Even if the deli makes their burgers from scratch, the preparation should take at maximum 20 minutes. The omelette and the sandwich also took around 45 minutes. The only dish served on time was the soup, which tasted like it came out of a Progresso soup can. The deli needs to hire more people or figure out a faster way to prepare and serve food. Until then, I refuse to visit again.

This is the type of place to go for lunch if you work within walking distance. OSD is a normal, American restaurant. They have several vegetarian options, which I was pleased to see. They sell sandwiches, omelettes, and the like. My vegetarian sandwich was pretty good. It came with sprouts, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and a side of chips. The chips were normal Ruffles-like chips. I’d recommend paying the up-charge and getting something better. Also, if you ask for pickles, they’ll bring you a dish with a few cross-sections for free. When I went for lunch, the place was less than 10% full. If I hadn’t seen it look the same way a year ago, I’d say that they don’t have enough business to stay open for too much longer.

There are plenty of sandwich places I’ve frequented in downtown Tampa, but for some reason today was the first time I have gone to Olé Style. From the outside it looks like it could be an office space, but inside is a clean, casual restaurant. The service was friendly, two servers working the small seating area and a cashier. The sandwiches there come with regular wavy potato chips and that’s it. For just under $ 8, the sandwiches are a decent size in my opinion. What I got was the«Grinder» with pastrami and coleslaw on rye bread. Solid taste, solid sandwich. Everything else was«a-ok.» Definitely a low-key and clean kind of atmosphere and decent food for a decent price gives this a 4⁄5 just because of the sandwich’s taste. Nothing spectacular, but it’s got that true deli feel to it in a way that you don’t get from other sandwich shops downtown. I’ll be back.

This is my second visit to the Olé Style Deli. I came last week and had the same exact experience. The owner behind the counter basically ignores you and is more concerned with the catering orders, or updating her menu, or paying bills rather than serving the customer. Get an office. I have waited 10 – 15 minutes both times. Once was for a turkey sandwich. Not a lot to it. The food was ok. Definetly not a place to go out of your way for.

Every time I come to downtown Tampa I make a point of coming here for breakfast or lunch. The service is always friendly and the food is fresh and delicious. The original owner is still the owner today and takes pride in making sure the staff take care of every customer properly… That’s were the Olé Style comes from, as in Olé Style customer service. My favorite breakfast is the Spinach and Feta Omelette with seasoned potatoes. No matter how many times I’ve lived it every single time! For lunch, any of their sandwiches are a good choice. But MY favorite is The Marinate with mushrooms. OMG! A MUST try! When you stop in please say hello to the owner Lovely Lucy for me and enjoy a good, delicious meal.

A sensible menu with fair prices — service is always with a smile from the efficient servers. Downtown workers are loyal for lunch Mon-Fri, but the atmosphere leaves much to be desired as it hasn’t changed in many years. Simple improvements to the atmosphere would be most welcome and perhaps add new faces — Warmer light bulbs, as fluorescents are cold and harsh Water the dying plant on the wall or toss it! Take down the many pictures provided by vendors Put pickles on each table without our asking — this is a deli after all! Promote the delicious corn muffins, cookies and other sweets taking them out of plastic wrap and displaying better on the counter Get rid of the business cards and other clutter on the counter And occasionally, give your regulars a treat — a small cookie, a piece of candy, something to say ‘I appreciate your business’!

It’s a deli with two pages worth of sandwich and salad options, but it did nothing for me. I ordered the California with grilled chicken and veggies. Unfortunately, the chicken had no flavor and the meat portion was on the smaller side for the amount of bread and veggies. The sandwich wasn’t so terrible that I couldn’t eat it, but I’ve had better chicken sandwiches at other shops. Also, the sit-down service is slow.
